I think the main point was that equipment was barely dropping, if at all. Hardly reassuring when it's paired next to 'Increased drop rates!' now, is it?

True. They picked some real bad segments to put into the video, the poor idiots.

If they actually do that I'll hate them a little less since I can hunt for my mule equips! But let's face it, our drop rates have sucked since forever so I doubt this will change things by a lot.

Edit: A grand total of one equip dropped in that segment. Guess my Phantom will be coming out of retirement and I'll get a pet auto-loot pouch for my Bishop if it's really increased since sharing one pet with many Adventurers will help a lot.

The possible reason is... there are DVD clients for distribution in form of DVD that named different from current version numbers. For example, v 1.29 might be DVD client for Season 2 patch but the current version for Season 2 patch update for download version would be v 1.30.

I think they do that for huge patches. Just to show that "hey this patch is a big one so it'll be an insult to consider it on the same level as a single, smaller patch".

Off-topic: The DVD client timing was sort of right for my lappy. Last weekend my lappy was under repairs so I used an external HDD backup to run MapleStory at the moment.

On-topic: So it's Season 2. It sounds like some anime crap, why don't they put it as Episode 4.
With the lack of technical support (bug report threads, latest technical issues, etc.) in the forums, I can foresee a high chance of disaster made by those bloody publishers in Asiasoft.

That's a good question actually, because it's entirely possible that we're getting hyped up over what's incoming and not what's immediately coming out on April 24th (Hence why I've yet to put my sub-main IGN).
