Southperry Minecraft Server V2

I prefer a Vanilla server, but either way, I can't wait ^^

The "Southperry server" will actually be like... 5 servers.

Tonights expenditure was $517 dollars. I will be spending $8 dollars for each additional copy of McMyAdmin I need (which is 4) (Also McMyAdmin is 50% off until the 31st).

For this reason (and that I spent more than I wanted to) I will be opening donations for a couple days.

Can it be Feed-The-Beast instead? I have no qualms about Tekkit, but Feed-The-Beast gets updated more regularily because it has the approval of the mod-makers, whereas Tekkit does not.

It's not a huge deal, but I just though't i'd bring it up IF you do a server like that.

I can do that I think. I'll look into it. I'm currently installing OpenSUSE on the box as I type this so it wont be ready for MC install until probably tomorrow.



I have confirmed all parts in the server work just fine, so no RMA's. I forgot to buy a 2.5 in bracket for mounting the SSD, so I will do that soon.

TeamViewer is installed, and boots at startup. I can finish installing MC servers tomorrow.

I agree that i rather see you use Feed the beast than tekkit.

Anyway can't wait what you choose (I still urge you to try Smart moving , i just can't play without that mod making moving around a thousand times easier)

Smart Moving is iffey, because that requires PlayerAPI/Forge...and for me, that's a nightmare to install. I'm only good with Modloader ><
(Time to study up.)

Installing forge now its just as easy as if you where installing modloader, without actually using mod loader. Since a while ago Forge got its own modloader making that step unnecessary. Player API is just as easy, you just need to place the files in the Jar after the forge ones.

Yeah, Feed the beast is much better than Tekkit. Once you get diamonds in Tekkit, it starts becoming way too easy.

I took the day off from work, I spent WAY too long setting this thing up last night and felt like pomegranate. Just woke up, time to break things.

so yes, I can do a FTB server.

All servers are up, but are not public yet. I need to purchase licenses for 2 copies of McMyAdmin for Hardcore and the FTB server.

Btw, is Feed The Beast SUPPOSED to be 1.4.2? That is what my minecraft is pulling it up as @_@

Dunno everybody's preferences, but I prefer the MindCrack pack for Feed the Beast., it's 1.4.6, and has a large variety of different mods on it.

MindCrack seems good, albeit disabling a few stuff would not hurt.

I'm running the mindcrack version of Feed The Beast now. Seems to be doing okay.

My only worry now is


I might have to give it another gig of RAM since it idles so high.

I did a 1000+ TNT explosion tonight and the server took it like a champ without any spikes.

Now we wait for whitelisting

Tomorrow will be open house, pick your room and storage unit, tell me what you want to decorate it with, and I will supply nearly anything you need. After tomorrow, worldguard will go up and all remaining rooms will be decorated at my discretion.

Nonono, FTB is one of the servers.

Its Survival, Hardcore, Creative, and FTB.

FTB has it's own launcher you use when using that server, It's very easy and straightforward to setup, no need to modify anything, Just open FTB when you play that server, and reg Minecraft for the others.
