Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword [SPOILERS]

Read this in customer's review section on the futureshop website (where I preordered my game).

this is not a rating, but a question and slight warning (?) title says it is skywayrd sword, but both future shop and best buy say the bundle includes twilight princess. keep this inmind and prepare to fight for your zelda funtime when you pick it up

Well... f'uck. With the Skyward Sword demo being leaked to the internet, someone dumped the entire script from the game and posted it on the internet. FULL SPOILERS of the game are now on the internet. It has been proven 100% legitimate. ._.


This is just great. I'm going to do what Mark said and stay the f'uck away from the internet until I get my hands on the game.

PLEASE do not post anything here about it. I do not want to know what happens in the game. I do find it interesting, however, that I keep hearing from people reading the spoilers that Skyward Sword is quite definitely the single best Zelda game to date.

What do you expect will happen? Someone posts four consecutive times with the full script and you unsuspectingly read through ALL OF THEM before realising that you've spoiled it for yourself?

I read the spoilers, was very impressed, even more excited for the release of the game.

I just can't keep from spoiling myself. I'm too hyped. Right now I know litterally everything we can know about the game at this point. I know, I'm horrible...

Downloaded the Demo. I shall be playing it tonight. I'll post a few spoiler-free impression afterwards.

Sites started putting their reviews up. Mixed of 9s, 10s and some 8s. The ones I actually care about are:

Skyward Sword is simultaneously a very good Zelda game and a rather great adventure game. It has some of the most inventive dungeons the series has ever known, sports the most impactful changes to the combat since Z-targeting, introduces wrinkles to the Zelda mythology that will force fans to rethink the entire series, and will have you gawking at it constantly, 480p 'n all. But the series finds itself facing an identity crisis, as it flirts with expanding what has defined the series without abandoning its charming but waning simplicity. Zelda doesn’t need to become something else to maintain relevance, but at a certain point, when “a brand-new great Zelda game” isn’t enough, there’s reason to pause

Dungeons consistently stand as the most brilliant element of the Zelda formula, and Skyward Sword sends you exploring though catacombs on par with some of the best in the series. Some of the challenges require the use of every tool in your inventory, but the best one throws an extra element that requires methodical thinking without feeling too complicated. The developer has artfully crafted intelligently designed spaces that utilize your entire skill set, yet they never beat you over the head with hints or solutions.

Strangely enough, those are the lowest scores so far.

Beat the first Temple. About 5 hours in. This pomegranate is amazing.

The CD was leaked as well, apparently. It's all over Youtube - but I think that's because Switzerland already has the game at retailers for sale, a week before Europe was supposed to start selling 'em.
