Only in America >.<
I0ny Wrote:You US people are so unbelievably blind to anything happening outside your country.

1. How the hell do you claim yourselves to be rich, even if your GDP is 2nd highest? The USA has its economy so deeply pineappleed up, that five or was it six central banks from Europe had to support your economy with a little 600 billion dollars. Still you manage to spend your money on nonsense, and dare claim you are rich and smart. I lol'd.

2. You complain about "high" gas prices. If I remember right, someone said something about your average gas prices being around ~4$.
1 gallon = 3,78541178 liter. Given that, your gas price is a bit above 1$ per liter. With the current exchange rate, it's around 0,70€ per liter, whereas for example here in Finland, the average gas price is two times that.

3. With the fact mentioned above, you "are worried" about the climate change. You're worried, but still no one wants to do anything about it? Your industry is the biggest single polluter in the world. Not to mention your traffic. I use my bicycle to go to school every morning, and it's 15km singe way. For what I've heard, some of you use cars for 500 meters trips.

4. For some reason, your education doesn't appear to be "such excellent". Can't remember the organization name, but they annually do some kind of education comparison in different subjects between the so called "civilized" nations. USA hasn't made it to top 10 in any single subject for years. Top 10 is crowded with european and eastern asian countries. And I'm not claiming you don't have smart people, you surely do. But then again, taking the population into account, you have a relatively low number of extremely clever individuals within the younger generations...

I do not want to flame you US people, but seriously, try to realize the fact that you aren't that superior in this world...

[COLOR="Purple"]A little to late, eh?

Anyways. No one said that the United States was perfect. No one said that everyone IN the United States is perfect. I don't know why people NOT living in the United States seem to always talk crap about this country. They haven't lived here. I for one think our country needs alot of work, but you don't see me going around bashing other countries.

And to the person that called us "idiots" and "retards" you really need to calm down. There was no need to call people names. This is just gonna turn into one big flame war...as usual.

It wasn't direct flaming, just an opinion. And you ask why, I can tell you the answer. Plain simply, you (well not all of you) roughly underestimate the world outside the US. I don't know whether it's jealousy or general stupidity, but for example, the way most of you act towards the europeans, is ridiculous. You act as if we were somewhat worse people than they are because you have higher GDP (Even though most of Europe has higher general standards of living). I'm not saying all of you as I know there are different people among you, but generally the image I've gotten is that most of you are arrogant and patriotic, thinking the USA is the best country there is and that there's a huge gap between USA and the second best country...
The sheer amount of ignorance in this topic is amazing, and I don't think anything good will come of this topic.
