It is still one of the five Heroes, Aran is one of the 5 as is Evan.

I was thinking this is more along the lines of the Evan master going off with the Heroes and dying, and he placed one of his pupils among the people who they sent away to safety. Not everybody can survive fighting the biggest fucking evil on the planet.

I'm assuming the class is set to come in KMS sometime December, possibly late December since they started testing now, but the interview said earlier. Regardless, I was being a little generous with my estimate.

I was talking about how you used "GMs" which is normally used for Game Masters, and not Global MapleStory.

judging by the poll results in msea's site, i can bet we will get this atleast 4 months after release in kMS.

Evan has quests tied to Rien, the agent guy from the Aran quests, Francis the puppeteer, and it appears that there's quests for Evan in Ellin Forest(?) also.

Chances are Evan is a descendant or a reincarnate of the old Mage hero.

It's official now. The Evan class utterly obliterates ArchMages.

Simple, in a nutshell reasoning? Clearly they have massive mobbing capacity. So compared to ArchMages, that's set pretty similar (if not better, in my opinion). They also have equal Element Amp and Magic Booster. So what makes them better? They have the "Beserk" type skill to increase attack power by a percentage amount (essentially unheard of for Mages), they have a passive critical skill, and they have three unique party buff skills. Already this class destroys ArchMages in terms of bossing....all that's left to be seen is exactly how strong they are in single target DPS (which I'm guessing will be MUCH stronger than ArchMages due to Killing Wing), of which F/Ps would be the only decent contender.

tl;dr: Evan = death of ArchMages. But it's a sexy death . Go Evan! Can't wait to play that after finishing an F/P.

...I don't get it. How does it being a new class automake it one of the 5 heroes.From the very little information we have, there is NO link shown between the new mage-dragon class and aran, who from what I know, was litterally one of the 5 people who stayed to fight the black mage.

The mage-dragon user is some farmer boy who stumbles across a dragon, which presumably lets him/her use some of it's power.

I think in the future, when the five classes existed in cash will have to purchase so I can play with them.

My suggestion is that the huge Dragon who you meet to start your way as an Evan, was the Dragon of the hero who fought the Black Magician.. so his owner probably died while fighting the Black Magician.

Why do people think KMS will get Evan so soon? It goes through an entire session of testing to make sure the class isn't messed up. Arans were in KMST for about 3 months before it was released in KMS. I think Evan will come in a Spring/Summer KMS patch. GMS won't see it until this time next year.

I can't claim a link is there, but by logic, straying off the hero path would be odd. Also, the old dragon itself might be the hero of old, or perhaps the partner of that one.
Also, would it be plausible if all 5 of the heroes was somehow frozen in time and reawakened around the same time too? No, inheriting powers or acquiring them somehow would make much more sense. Different ways for each hero so it won't seem so stupid. I'm betting on it.

Because EVERYTHING is almost literally complete. Skill icons, fully functional skills, animations, quest lines, UIs. Even the Mastery Books are implemented already.
Unlike when they tested Aran, we got skills with placeholder icons/animations, bugged skills, and it only started with 1st job and gradually moved to 2nd/3rd/4th.

Evan seems more single target based than Arch mages. If all it took as a class with higher single target damage, every other class already has that. Their ulti can't be spammed either.

Though, I can see people rushing to play these. Though, to tell you the truth, I'm not sure how good these things would be at bosses. certainly they're better than mages at bossing though.

It was stated in an interview that the class was scheduled for release in early December. The class also doesn't need that much work. It's pretty much done, just needs testing for bugs and perhaps a few skill polishes here and there.
