Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers)

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I loved the flashback to death. It's also cool that there's more to Mirajane's backstory than just Lisanna's death.

Still kinda weird how Sayla is so competent compared to some other Kyuukimon, though. Either that or Mirajane/Sitri is just very disappointing.

Mirajane isn't really among Fairy tails strongest.
She did, after all, get passed over for the "strongest team" at the last day of the grand magic games by Natsu/Gajeel/Grey despite being s ranked, and elfman/evergreen were able to out brute force her (even if she was distracted) in the S rank arc, so it's probably more that she never got her magic power back properly.

At least the way she used take over makes sense and is acceptable. Elfman might not be S rank himself but he is pretty close definitely, at least when it comes to brute force. If Sayla had seen that attack coming he wouldn't have a chance.

The double week Chapters out. Reminder that there shouldn't be another one this friday.

Mashima sure is naming those techniques randomly, Alegria (joy) for a kilometer-big beast sounds totally random.

Being the only one capable of escaping Alegria speaks of that something special about Lucy that we've always known, so I hope we can get some develpment on her past/heritage from this, at least.

It might just be dumb luck. She's always been posed as kinda lucky, and her name came from the sign at her fathers work guild missing out the "k" from lucky.

Not sure how she's going to free the rest of the guild though. Maybe gildarts comes back and releases lumen histore,and that then does something as he's the only person other than makarov who knows where it iss

Hmm, I have always found Loke quite underwhelming in his performances (save for the one against Bickslow), considering he is the leader of the golden zodiac. Aquarius has always been more impressive, and Mashima seems to agree from what we've seen from this chapter. She does have that strange summoning requirement, after all.

Anyway, I'm liking Aquarius' attitude so far. I swore I saw her go "Look out, Lucy!" in the manga too in the Edolas arc, but I guess I was mistaken. Anyway, that only happened in the anime so it's nice to see more of Aquarius' caring side towards Lucy being shown.

Oh, and at this point it's hard to tell whether Taurus or Sagittarius is more useless. Taurus did have that combination attack with Scorpio earlier, after all.

10/10 chapter would read again. pomegranate got real.

Such an emotional chapter, though I felt Aquarius' comments on page 23 (page 25 on Mangastream) were a bit superfluous and took away from the emotions a bit.

I can't say I'm not surprised that Lucy actually went through with it, but I guess she understood Aquarius' sentiments. It didn't kill her, after all. Hmm, but now her key is lost to the world forever. At this rate, Lucy won't ever have all 12 keys on her. It's a shame Lucy had to sacrifice her strongest spirit for it too.

What's up with never seeing each other again, though? Why don't they just send Lucy to the celestial world again like last time.

Lucy does seem to have that privilege, with her even being invited there with other less important people (in terms of celestial spirits) simply for a welcome back party. And in spirit world time, she would've only been gone for like a month (imagine how busy their schedule would be normally lol).

Good thing that didn't come to mind while reading the chapter.

There has to be a method to remake the keys anyway. we know all 12 golden keys existed before lucy just broke that one,and Aquarius had to know the method somehow.

Maybe it reappears in a random place or something after some amount of time.

Lol, Jackal totally sounded like he wanted to rape Lucy. Gotta say I'm impressed as that'd be pretty realistic for Fairytail.

And Lucy owns the Galaxy Gundam now

I did enjoy the chapter overall but I can't help to feel bothered by Lucy technically becoming weaker. First opening 3 gates at once proves to be no real improvement and now she loses her strongest celestial spirit. She already is pretty weak compared to half of fairytail and other guilds. The CSK vs Marde Guille will be petty exciting but I'd have prefered Loki, Virgo and Aquarius combining their powers in 1 attack (as we've already seen 2 spirits do) and knocking Jackal out than to see Lucy actually get more useless.

Useless seriously? Her spirit just sliced the giant monster cube to bits! No way anyone else in ft could do that

Come on, she was fighting two of the demon gates at once, where just one has been able to give Mirajane and Erza serious trouble.

Anyone short of Laxus hasn't stood a serious chance against them. Natsu barely won and that was when he was able to completely nullify his opponents magic.

Summoning 3 spirits proved to be no improvement (They tried to hold the demons away and were taken down in a couple moves) and I'd have liked better to see a new technique using 3 spirits at once which'd make her stronger than for her to lose the strongest one she has which makes her weaker.

Is it really that much of an issue? Are there really going to be twelve more occasions where she finds it fit to summon the spirit king before the end of fairy tail? Lucy barely fights as it is, i don't see the problem with burning one key if it solves all of the arcs problems in one stroke.

Lucy casts Urano Metria by herself for the first time and has also been given Aquarius' power. So she's become quite powerful as a single unit.

Her summon, the Celestial Spirit King, is also showing off some of the most powerful attacks ever (don't think they're at the level of Sema or Acnologia, but still pretty darn impressive). Marde Guille's just fending them off like nothing though.

...So did Aquarius die?

So, what do we make out from this? Will Lucy eventually blow up every gold key and become the ultimate celestial mage? I am not sure I like that.

As for CSK and Marde Guille, we all know he wont efeat MG so the very least I hope is that the CSK doesn't die fighting him or something.

Maybe, she told Lucy she wouldn't but it was probably so she'd stop hesitating about blowing up the key. Maybe Lucy already knew though and thats why she is crying.
