GMS v.142 - Dawnveil: Demons of Tynerum Update Notes

Stereo Wrote:Oh, question: Can you get into the legs from the ground? So far I've always climbed the walls (destroy the fists on the way) into the chest, and then through the abdomen to the legs. There are platforms and a rope on each leg but I can't find anywhere to get inside.

Right above the ropes there's a little dark area, that's a portal to get inside the legs.

The portal doesn't really have high visibility, but it's the small hole, on each leg, right at the top of the rope.

Well, you get coins.

You can also get more keys to do more runs to farm green coins.

And well yea..you can get blue coins.

Really hoping the shop is 24 hours and not a one time thing because that would be a huge fail....

Is there any tip to Gollux head?

I can kill it but if I don't Sacrosanctity like the moment I enter I'll most likely die once. After the jaw is dead I have no problem.

I tested some other places and wind raiders from crimsonwood also drop some quest items Smile so if someone need to hunt those things the best option is go to the first windraider map at cwk

It's been 24hrs since I bought stuff and I still can't buy any more.

kill all three parts, jaw had < 50m hp
kill both shoulders, jaw had ~2b+ hp

that is a massive increase
I died once during jaw and lost a charm, and died once during eyes/jewel (not sure which) but didn't lose a charm

Ah pineapple so the shop is a one time deal?
Guess those 4 att ring scrolls would be too OP...that would make the superior ring have 32 attack lol

But that also means I can only get one of each cursed scroll [90% att armor and accessory] That really makes a huge dent in my plans >_>

One time deal doesn't really make sense with some of the items that are limited (AEE, Adv Pot, MMB, even the Keys)...
Maybe it's 24 hours after your last purchase? I didn't purchase anything until today so I can't check until late tomorrow.

I dontknow this is nexon we are talking about.

Not making sense is their signature business style after "suck em dry" slogan >.>

And jeez 50 mil to 2 bil? And thats normal mode...

If it gains nearly 2 bil hp just by leaving one piece intact, wonder how much a complete body will have...

I'll be fighting hard mode tomorrow and hopefully record it with a well-funded xenon. Hopefully I can snag rank 1 dojo gloves tonight though but 2-10 will be guaranteed.

And 2-3b hp seems right for jaw on normal mode. Eyes/jewel though were extremely fast, not sure if they got an hp change. I was mostly worried about the feared 1hko ark skill at jewel but it died in about 2 seconds or less.

How can you even get into Hard mode? There's no difficulty setting that I can find.

Modes depend on how many pieces you kill before going to head.
Kill all three (shoulders, abdomen) : easy
Kill two : normal
Kill one : hard
Kill none : hell (and this IS hell)

Any idea of the significance of the right & left torso/leg maps asides from farming the blue coins? Because I tried killing only the shoulders and abdomen (skipping the other maps via tele. rocks), and the head yielded a significantly larger amount of HP (when it was supposed to be in easy mode) in comparison to that of the head after having cleared the other maps beforehand. In other words, would you say that clearing the other maps is a prerequisite for killing whatever amount of shoulders/abdomen that would constitute the different modes of difficulty?

Possibly. By chance did you enter the head early? I heard if you enter the head immediately, then leave, it will be hell mode regardless of killing everything else.

Anyone who has suicided on hell, is there anything different besides hp?

I didn't enter the head until both the shoulders & abdomen were cleared. I can confirm that the head's HP will not be adjusted even after going back to finish the other body parts; you will have to restart.

Discovered this when I was farming the green coins going from lower left leg -> upper left leg -> abdomen -> left shoulder -> right shoulder (to facilitate the speed-farming, I skipped the left & right torso, right lower/upper legs). Lastly, went for the head and noticed that it had too much HP. Went back to the parts I hadn't cleared previously, and then revisited the head, noting the same amount of excess HP for an "easy mode".

So I had no way of distinguishing the other modes, asides from the "true" easy mode in which the head can be one-hit.

I guess it can be said that it's advisable to clear the other maps before moving onto the shoulders & abdomen, regardless of the mode of difficulty. Reason why I brought it up is that it's time consuming, I'd rather skip those parts if they're actually irrelevant to the head fight. But I'm still left in the dark about which "mode" was I doing, because it certainly wasn't "easy".

Very minor, but the storage keeper in El Nath, Mr. Mohammed, got his hands on a Name Change Coupon and is now known as Mr. Thalj. Rolleyes

He's had that name change for some time now.

Of course this is a change that'd go unnoticed, who really visits El Nath for reasons other than Adventurer 3rd Job Advancement these days? I've only been visiting El Nath because I was killing Riches for 500 Ambition a day, and only then because my Hero isn't 140 for access to Dodo yet. (Non-Mystic Gate Dodo is much less annoying to fight. No dispel.)

Hell Gollux is around 20b hp on jaw and 20b on eyes. Or, I take out half of the jaw in the amount of time I take out Madman Ranmaru (2.1b x 5)

I took out half of the eyes before he dc'd me.
He never dr'd me. I heard Blackheart DR sound once and stopped attacking but I didn't see DR symbol.

That's not bad at all o_O just to be sure, this is without killing either shoulder or abdomen?
And I take it you're able to dodge his OHKO attacks? I know ranged classes can avoid his breath, but how were you dealing with the rock guys on the opposite side of where you were? Does he have any other OHKO than the hand swipe during jaw? I'd test it out myself, but exp Sad Maybe when I level.
