"These magical feet
are sheathed in mysteries of
mixing blue and red."

I'm bad at haikus; thinking of sneakers for some odd reason.

Yep.

"magical" = mage
"mysteries" = enigma
"mixing blue and red" = purple

Hmm, I was thinking more this: http://global.hidden-street.net/monster/rurumo

I'm not sure now. Rurumo is magical I suppose, two little feet and his etc drop is a mix of red and blue - purple liquid.

Your answer seems to fit better to me. While the Enigma shoes can only be equipped by Magicians, the key word I'm looking at is sheathed and only Rurumo can be sheathed in both red and blue at once since you obviously can't equip mismatched shoes and it says that they 'mix'.

Where does "magical feet" fit in then?

Oh pineapple, I completely forgot Purple Enigma shoes existed and I used to make whole batches of those! However, Rurumo does indeed have feet, it can be considered to be a magical creature created from alchemy and it could be that the actual thing pedalling the Rurumo is inside hence being covered and surrounded by red and blue as it only releases purple liquid when it dies.

On the whole though I must revise my statement and say that I probably doomed myself. :| It's all my own fault too for forgetting such a basic equip that most of my Magicians used to wear.

So what the pineapple do I answer for it? I don't want to screw this up guys! Frown

Again I'm quoting myself here:

This is the part where you side with one camp and wing it, hoping for the best. ...it's got to be better than not putting an answer anyhow.

But... Purple Enigma Shoes seems too pedantic considering the other haikus. Rurumo would make sense in many ways, but how particularly magical it would really be in a world that has talking mushrooms and walking streetlights?

._. Guess I'm going for Rurumo

A haiku about feet, and you pick one of the few monsters without limbs. I'm afraid I have bad news.

Rurumo is a product of alchemy, not magic.
Also, it isn't feet, and it's feet aren't a defining part of it. Saying "it has feet!" is just overthinking things.
Nor sheathed in red or blue
or any connection to mysteries.

Purple Engima Shoes fits the bill perfectly, Rurumo only fits from a big stretch of the imagination.
If the answer WAS Rurumo, the haiku wouldn't be so vague. It would mention Alchemy, and experiments.

You people are overthinking this. the answer is simple.

^Guess I screwed up then. But so will many other people >_> What makes this even harder for me is that I'm not a native English speaker; Can you really call shoes "feet"? I thought shoes are what you put ON your feet... Also I didn't figure out what sheathed means here even when using dictionary.

"These magical feet"
Rurumo has feet, alchemy can be considered magical:

are sheathed in mysteries of
mixing blue and red.

Rurumo mixes blue and red to produce: [Image: purple-liquid.png?1275399048] Purple liquid.

EDIT:

Sheated= covered? Yah great I failed D:

yeah, the word "Sheathed" is what disproves Rurumo for me. You don't sheathe a beaker with liquid, you fill it.
Sheathe kind of implies covering something, like clothing, like shoes, for feet. Magical shoes, purple, enigma = Mystery. every part fits.

Bye bye, 30k cash. It was nice knowing you! Frown

EDIT: But I'll still do the rest in the hopes that everyone else doing it from SEA got it wrong too.

The "magical feet" in the haiku refer to the feet of the mage wearing the shoes, hence why Enigma Shoes fit the bill better.

But it's not sheathed in the mix, it's sheathed in the mystery of the mix. It's not just the answer that's a mystery, it's the mix itself. It's not just a mysterious purple something.
