Lvl200 Luminous Race in Broa

People say I have no life, or say that it ruined the fun.
I was lucky that luminous released in a day I had no college due to a power outage. Not only that but since we are at the end of a semester I have no work to be done. I skipped none of my life responsibilities for this fun.


The reason this does not "ruin" the class for me is because I have found all the other ways to enjoy maple, to be honest, leveling is not very "enjoyable" to me, but the things you can focus on after 200 are! Instead I enjoy PQing, questing, bossing, crafting, leveling my traits, leeching my friends, improving my gear and collecting cute weapons and hats and especially collecting medals and chairs!

Maplestory is a game that can be played in so many ways, you just have to go back to what makes you enjoy it the most.
Sadly, most people today play if for two reasons: Range and Gear. It all depends on the person, I mean if you're competitive in that aspect, go for it

If anything, this makes me love my luminous more than ever.

Also, it makes me feel as if I've DONE something with my time ... I mean, my evan was nice at level 200, but I had nothing done on it that was special to me or that would "leave a mark" (even if in a months time no one will remember), I will know that I competed, tried my best and had an absolute blast with my guild and alliance!

Eh I waffled on this since I'm from that "WTP do you do when you reach level 200 anyway" camp but I'd say congratulations since you planned this out well, you actually did enjoy it and it's all legit.

Sorry you feel this way, but the video was made to show what I did do in preparation for people who want to also do something similar and race, or who were curious to see exactly what we did to get 200 so fast. It wasn't meant to come across as egotistical, but rather a guide. x) People on other maplestory community sites were asking me for a video on how it was done and the planning, so that was the result.

Thank you. I was actually quite confused between saying "I" and "we" because I didn't want people taking it the wrong way and accusing me of sharing my account with the alliance and guild.

Now watching it again, I realized I forgot to mention that I also used mercedes link skill for exp as well. =x eep.

Well wow quite an achievement, considering able to say you are rank 1? or perhaps top 5 in any new class should be some great achievement, something that will at least be there forever.

It's sort of nice but after having a rank #1 you realize it's not really that important. The only reason I like racing to 200 is because I can start playing the game when I'm at that point (this is personal preference and I'm sure many people will say you can play the game at non-200 but not for me). Faster it's done, less money + time spent.

Being on page 1 though is neat and so is being on #1 spot. I don't brag about it though nor do I make a big deal out of it. There are plenty of people who don't have a rank #1 character and I feel are much more deserving of recognition.

Would like to ask if you could reveal your equips stats to us I'm quite curious to know how much fundings I'll need to hit that range x.x

I'd like to say again, that about 100k of my 317k range showed in the video came purely from the ssiws cheese and other various buffs.

I have about 220% int and my shining rod was 238 matk. I do not have a dominator pendant or potential'd rings. I used empress gear set excluding weapon. My hat had 12% int and AB, my gloves had SI and SE. (Seriously, if you're playing luminous, get SI gloves!)

Have to agree with SI gloves. The speed of casting Reflection is killing me... even before considering server lag.

Guess poor people like me will have to settle with simple gear and whatever great deals we spot. Me only has 7MA cape and 11MA gloves (4ma from chaos-ed spiegelmann belt, but that's serendipity!).
