New Content Discussion: What do you actually want?
#81
Instead of making maps that cater to all players by having high exp tables and such, they need to make maps that cater to specific job sets. Maybe that would make less people go into the same damn map, as well as bring in more variety to where people go.

And the less I have to go to Edelstein, the better

All I'm saying is not everyone plays a quest for rewards. I know a fair share of people who do play for the questline too.

It's a matter of opinions, really.

The reward was okay, but the questline was amazing. I really enjoyed Edelstein's Questline.

Unless you mean the two desert towns collectively, Magatia has the superior questline. The best questline of MS, CWK included.

Force adventurers to do a few quests close to their level(or a theme-park questline) every 5-10 levels, otherwise they don't level up. Also force hero characters to do their questline. If they don't do their quest line they cannot continue to gain exp/level.

For ever map to have an option as a mini dungeon, I guess the evolving world is kind of like this but im getting tired of people at Aliens or Jesters rolling in with there Demonslayers and or other high leveled classes and kicking me out of my map i searched 30 minutes for. I know there are alternatives but most pail in comparison to the exp you would get there, or just make more maps like LHC.

I would also enjoy seeing more quest lines that could get you 4-5 levels per area and or make questing a lot more viable of an option instead of grinding.

There is nothing wrong with having quests with a good questline AND good rewards. Whats stopping a quest chain with a good questline having good rewards and vice versa?

I love this. Though I'd be curious to see how they would make certain maps appeal to specific classes without implementing something like an elemental advantage.

e.g. how would a map have appeal to night lords etc.

Sounds like the old days where some classes went to Grims, some to Squids and some to gobies.

Raph589 Wrote:Combattente; I totally agree with you. While I know that most of the things you mentionned will never change, a realistic suggestion would be to make holiday events more interesting, just as before. Right now, they're plainly boring.

Quickjumper7 Wrote:Combattente; I agree with you so much. Prose is a genius, and Nexon just took his contribution and pooped on it.
But I realize by now that Nexon is refusing to continue what he started. All I can do is stare longingly at Isaac's thread and pretend that it might actually be implemented one day.

THIS is the content I want.

I'm glad you guys agree with me. Yeah, that's the kind of content I was talking about. Sadly, though, maybe Nexon realized that their main userbase are kids below the age of 18, who will buy NX items anyways and don't care much about "complex" content. So they decided it wasn't worth the time and money to create some type of content à la Prose. Or I really don't know what was going on in their heads when they created such stupid content and quests for the last Masteria expansion. I really hope the reason was the first one I mentioned and not the hiring of a 12-year-old kid who came up with that bullpomegranate in the development team.

Seriously, though, I definitely hope they'll one day decide to use our money for better purposes like that. It'd definitely be good for this game to finally have a GOOD exclusive content developer like Prose. Even though I'm pretty sure he's irreplaceable.

mmhm, and even later, when ranged classes went to snipe at Newties from a safe distance, while melee were mobbing Skeles.

But now, all classes have mobility, survivability (or rather, all enemies up until LHC do negligible damage), mobbing skills, self-healing/drain skills, etc. It's impossible to differentiate.

Since training maps seem to be the main subject, I would like to see a "Solo play bonus" in maps like ToT/Leafre/Future Hene. It in no way needs to be excessive like Party Play bonus, I think somewhere from a 15-20% boost per lack of person is acceptable. I understand that Nexon is trying to promote party training, but there are times when a party is just not available, and LHC/SH makes other maps so obsolete that no one wants to train outside of them. It would be nice to see the maps in use again, as well as not having to rely on a party to get some experience.

That is a pretty interesting idea MorbidMagus. For me, I sometimes like to solo a map on my own since I can figure out how I can get around an area, particularly one of the ToT maps. I don't mind them wanting to promote more party-oriented maps, but they should cater to people who like to handle a map on their own and give them a exp bonus. Depending on the person and class, most people prefer soloing in my opinion unless you are stuck in rut and want to level quickly.

My other suggestion is to add more 120+ maps for people who just hit 4th job and don't have as many friends to go to LHC with them and want a change of pace. If not that, then increase the experience for monsters in Leafre and ToT so there are more options for people new to 4th job.

Raise the PDR on EVERY MOB IN THE GAME.
Decrease their HP to balance.

Problem, damage cap?

exactly.. and don't forget ultimates and (double) flash jump.

If the jumping was smoothed more and maple could play close to a viable platformer, I could see JQs with good rewards becoming a good idea, as are bosses that require timing and dodging beyond damage reflect. Also make well hidden areas that are practical for getting items or training, some out of reach area that people wouldn't suspect. Finally, fix the outdated story (glaringly obvious with ARANS), complete the heroes' arc, give explorers some actual reason for... exploring, I guess? Bring some more guild quests, hell, make "guild play" a thing, maybe 140-170 or even if it's a 70-120ish area. Finally, balance pvp and make some sort of JQ competition for the high-levels when you're bored of training. Mu lung and PVP, both complete dps-fests, shouldn't be the only endgame content.

How about a novelty bonus? 2x or more exp on the first 100 of any mob you kill in a day. So if you wander around ToT you get 2x for 1500 mobs.

Probably better to make it something other than 'number of kills' so it dosn't overload party play maps, but that sort of idea, where if you spend 5 minutes in a map, it's better exp than if you spend 5 hours there.

They should add something for level 200s, other than just bossing and maxing out traits.

But what else is there to do other than make new characters and other stuff like what you just stated? The reason people leveled was to have fun until Lv 200 but you can't level beyond that now. :/
