Item generation? No problem!

Not extra-pessimistic. SUPER PESSIMISTIC.
This isn't going to shut down GMS. Everytime something happens on this scale people debate the possibility of shutting down GMS. I know this is possibly one of the biggest exploits we have seen. Worse than duping but thankfully it isn't public yet...

Even if it doesn't become public, the fact that we have the possibility of Estaffs, legend badges, dominator pendants, lucky guy medals, all decent skills or other S nebulites, and goddamned wizet hats getting in people's hands, this would tear the game apart.

If duping took maple and dropped it in a pile of pommegeanate, this expolit would be taking current maple, shredding it to pieces, burning those pieces and then dropping the ashes into the deepest trench in the ocean.

I'm sorry if seeing these problems for what they are is a problem with you, but there's no avoiding it; there will be no way to save the game if there isn't a week-rollback and the closest thing (because knowing nexon, an actual fix is so far out of reach it's just sad...) to a fix.

yeah. I think its the wizet hats that break it ultimatly. If they become widly distributed GMS is gone. Its like the number 1 way to impersonate a GM. But it shouldn't be TOO hard to delete all the wizet hats..........

Actually it's the opposite. Any GM equips that are created could easily be tracked by Nexon and removed. They could easily just remove every single one from the game. It's the things like the inkwell coins that are NPCable for 200m each that are gonna blow the game up

Oh god what i completely forgot about those. Before this post i didn't seriously think this was detrimental because it wasn't causing inflation but goddamn. If they don't shut the game down by tomorrow to patch it things are going to go to hell.

Amazing that almost all the meso/item exploits involve Inkwell in some way, no?

Things are already in hell. Just nobody knows the people doing it, so they don't know exactly how bad it is.

I know someone who is trying to sell hundreds of billions of mesos to the Chinese already.

depends on how much setup it takes to perform the hack, one could simply make a script for the hack to be run i guess, but... *shrugs*

scrolls are pointless, coins are not. its real easy to set up a script bot and fill an account with mesos, and it doesn't take long considering each coin is 200m

Tear the gameapart? A bit overreacting. So a few people have super godly stuff from hacking and can hit 999999 everytime. Um, we have that already. So what?

Edit: The coins sound dangerous though. What was the original purpose of those? I don't recall them, and it seems odd to have such a thing in the game. If Nexon was smart (lol) they would alter the selling price to 1 meso. I thing they've done things like that before fairly easily.

i find it hilarious i want to S-rank my equipment mainly because the orange square looks really pretty, instead of the damage bonus it gives, lol.

the cane is pretty and so is the hat. I had an account that got hacked with the full android set. I was planning on remodeling it onto my empress thief hat when we'd get that CS item but oh well :-( .

also to be frank. I'd pay for that exploit to cover the losses of losing my account. I spent around $120/month for the last 7 months on MS that's ALOT of money I lost. more money then the games integrity means to me.

I think some of you overexaggerate both how easy and how difficult this is... Especially cost wise.

I'm very sadly right with you on that.

I like how Nexon has the section for NX lost when filing a ticket about being hacked, but it's almost impossible to put a number to the amount of money you've ALREADY USED on your character. Just because NX wasn't transferred from your account by a hacker doesn't mean you hadn't invested in your items. :\ And it's not like they respond to tickets anyway... It gets very hard to shake the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality after having everything stolen. But eh. Despite everything, I couldn't bare knowingly tarnishing my account with hacked items. :| My hardcore legit beta veteran side gets the best of me.
