Masteria Preview?

Obviously, the "aliens" are all the DDoSers. The picture of the Statue of Mushroomity with a piece missing out of its head is because that part of the image couldn't load because of all the bandwidth constraints. Same with the message, "Maplers, we need". They couldn't finish it because they keep crashing. It's up to us to travel to Masteria and destroy the evil DDoSers and restore stability to the Maple World!

Maybe its time to complete Masteria and then it will be part of KMS :trollface:

Also seeing the image is maybe Krakian jungle or maybe is the Original Leaf City (because there is the New one)...

I'll trade it to JMS for a complete Neo City.

Well, looks like I take back what I said about not having expectations for the Masteria update.

I want to unearth the original thread for the visitor event where they showed us a single scene from the future city area, and the Krakia speculation was INSANE. Seriously, people were convinced that Krakia was here at last, here at last, thank god almighty here at last. And then it was like a thunderous crash of rage when not only was it not Krakia, but a game destroying event that was only awesome at the end. I'm getting de ja vu here, the "It's Krakia ./thread" talk is back lol, and even though it's incredibly possible, perhaps even more-so than last time, I for one am not gonna care whether it's Krakia or not I'm just glad masteria in general is getting some love (Where's IsaacGS, what a shame). And if you want proof of the hysteria....just look at how within hours people have dissected this tiny banner and used the different pieces for avatars and sigs lol.

The tears of massive dissapointment of when they don't only deliver piss poor content but utterly take a sh`it on the masteria storyline, the only storyline that has kept the candle of hope lit, will be tears of the sweetest lemonade.

I've been holing back from saying anything in this thread due to previous experiences but I wanna say something so pineapple it I'm coming right out and saying it.

The promo shows only one part of Masteria damaged that being the statue of maple liberty. No other part looks damaged nor destroyed. Now in my mind this means one of four things:
1) Masteria was attacked but the attack was not successful at all. (Sort of likely)
2)This is a separate part of the island all together and the background is simply another part of the island( I honestly would not be surprised if this was it even though there's a major continuity issue)
3)They said this is only the start. This means that their are indeed more attacks on Masteria coming and thus the city itself will infact be changed. I do not expect a major overhaul of the city I.e the potion and mall gone missing but instead a set up for an even greater invasion. In my mind these slug like creatures did attack, and now we need to fight back. There will be their main city with a pq and what not with a boss etc etc. This will make way for Krakia to come with the invasion of the Krakian people. On this same note I strongly believe that this is not an event. However, I do think that with later updates it will change this addition. ( I personally would put money on this one)

4) We indeed do time travel and thus NEXON has a fetish with total annihilation. (I'm not putting money on this, but I could be wrong.)

I do not believe that this is Krakia but I could also be wrong. Now I could see this being Krakia if this was a two part update. Now let me explain what I mean by this:
The two parts of Krakia will come within the two Alliance unbound updates. This means that this first patch will be the invasion of Krakia, with a new boss, few new areas, but nothing really substantial and huge. The second update will be us traveling to Krakia and putting a stop to this once and for all leading to more uncovering of Masteria. You fight a big bad boss, new town, new maps etc etc. That's my theory of the Krakia theory.

Now, On the other side of this spectrum. This could indeed be the slug people. There have been talks of threats from the stars ever since Masteria was conceived. The question at hand though is how is this going to fully play out? If it's a full scale attack on Masteria how will things change? I do not believe that we will see Change to the NLC town area, but more on the ouskirts. With this theory I believe that we will travel to a new map and see a background change. Also I think we may see a small backround change in the NLC town center, with parts of the Statue of Maple Liberty missing, and a few of the Alien like buildings inwhich we have to travel to and fight. The phrase stating that this is only the beggining in this theory states that more Masteria content and expansions are on their way.

These are the two theories I agree with most. I would rather see the second at this time, and the first at a later date. I say this because, and I feel that I am in the majority, I want Krakia to be this HUGEE thing that's just this omonious shadow cast upon the world of Masteria and it really proves a threat. I want this because of how much buildup and how much everyone has to talk about Krakia. I have hopes for this and as long as it's not an event I don't feel like I will be disappointed. They could screw this up, they could, but you need to try to pineapple up Masteria>.>. In the terms of the HH2. I don't give a crap, it was an event it sucked we got Jesters and those other freaks w.e.

Also because it's the opposite of the Olde Acorn Towne or whatever it is that NLC used to be before the Grandmasters screwed things up. IIRC this NLC is actually the Versal town that got switched over here. Or something like that.

It wasn't the grandmasters that had anything to do with the destruction of old sapp village iirc, it was dr. krakia and his army.
