Ignore def doesn't stack

Phantom blow is ignoring PDR as it's supposed to.
I can post pics/calcs if you want.

Stereo observed Blast to be ignoring far more def than it should.
I saw more ignore def on my hero than should rightfully be there, I don't know whether it's Combat Mastery or something else.
That's what I meant. Skills work, but do they work exactly as described?

Did I mention that the Codex's Ignore %DEF works on normal mobs?

Max range: 12859 clean
Max range with no Ignore PDR: 12859 * (1 - 0.1) = 11573
Max range with Ignore PDR 30% (Codex): 12859 * (1 - 0.1*0.7) = 11958
Max range with Ignore PDR 2.5% (Ambition): 12859 * (1 - 0.1*0.975) = 11605

Achieved damage:

Highest I got in a 5-minute-long whacking streak was 1177x, still a good margin from 11958.. It's somewhere a bit more than what Ambition gives, but nowhere close to what Codex gives, let alone both.

Found a small error in the crusade calculations, but it didn't change the result.

Did my own testing on my BM.

Here's my my equips, obviously no PDR on bow. I've got lvl39 ambition (3.5% PDR)


For all testing I used golems (DEF = .25)

Assuming only MMS works damage should be:
PDR*DEF .2*.25 = .05
DEF-IgnDef .25-05 = .2
Damage after PDR: 1-.2 = .8

Min: .8(17287) = 13829
Max: .8(20338) = 16270

Assuming MMS and Ambition are additive:
PDR*DEF (.2+.035)*.25 = .05875
DEF-IgnDef .25-.05875 = .19125
Damage after PDR: 1-.19125 = .80875

Min: .80875(17287) = 13980
Max: .80875(20338) = 16448

Assuming MMS and Ambition (for god alone knows what reason) order sensitive:
PDR*DEF .2*25 = .05
.035*(.25-.05) = .007
DEF-IgnDef .2-.007 = .193
Damage after PDR: 1-.193 = .807

Min: .807(172878) = 13950
Max .807(20338) = 16412

After about 5min of attacking i got


So ambition either doesn't stack or is being rounded off to nothing.

Which means I can calculate MMS + Crusade set as:
PDR*DEF (.2+.15)*.25 = .0875
DEF-IgnDef .25-.0875 = .16625
Damage after PDR: 1-.16625 = .83375

Min: .83375(17287) = 14413
Max: .83375(20338) = 16956

And I got:


So at the very least, the crusade bonus does NOT stack at LHC but MMS does. I'll try normal mobs later today.

From my own testing, it doesn't seem Ignore Defense 30% works on bosses, at least Dojo bosses. Can someone confirm/deny this?
Same testing method proved that it works on normal mobs (Rash with 10% PDR).

I have 30% ignore on dagger, 20% from phantom, 30% from leafre set (80% ignore).
My damage on PB has not raised one bit since pre chaos.

Did we ever find out if ignore def is multiplicative or additive? I thought it was mutliplicative.

e.g.
20% ignore & 20% ignore = 36% ignore total (1-.8*.8)

((or in your case it's 60.8% ignore))

Why would boss damage, total damage and everything potential wise be additive and suddenly the retard named Ignore DEF be multiplicative?

Maybe I missed something, but I don't understand the outcome so I gotta ask a few questions:

1. Ignore def does not stack on the same weapon (like 15% and 30% being on the same wep wouldn't stack)?

2. Ignore def does not stack on the different weapons (like 15% on a dagger and 30% on a katara wouldn't stack)?

3. What about 15% on a codex to 15% on a weapon, doesn't stack either?

Apples and oranges? Double-layered DEF Ignoring sounds entirely plausible to me.

On that note, is it just the 15% ignore options on Codex that's broken, or is the Leafre sets 30% ignore also not working?
