7/14/2011 : Kaede, JMS Defeats Empress Cygnus! [Now with video proof!!]
#81
ShiKage Wrote:Because if KMS and GMS haven't beaten it by now, it's obviously not possible, right?

You do realize it appears ours is glitched, right? If the JMS squad is getting kicked out and still getting drops it lends to the belief that something is up there as well. I'm not drawing conclusions as to what this means or what causes it (personally i think they've found a way to circumvent the glitch and could possibly be done totally within the bounds of the game which would justify their taking advantage of it and doing it secretly to the JMS community, would it not?) There is no reason to get defensive about this. We can't beat it at this point because it appears to be broken, like PB was. People are currently trying less to beat it and trying more to find out if there is some way around the problem.

I've never had any problem or mentioned the censoring. I understand that and I don't find that strange at all. It's the quiet that i don't like. And the fact that they still get kicked. Why would that lead to the conclusion that everything is totally normal?

ShiKage Wrote:@Takebacker : First off, the crew who beat Pink Bean first was not only a different group, but a group in a completely different server.

Like I said, the Japanese are very private. They don't like giving out names of people unless those people give explicit permission to have their information given out. And no, we have no disconnect hack issues here.

Point? "They" referred to JMS as a whole. "We" referred to GMS.

It's really easy to remove names from a video. Just make the lower end of the frame go just above the floor. Boom. No names are immediately visible unless someone jumps. Considering this is something that directly affects every version who has empress, being secretive isn't an excuse. They already have credit for being first. (WHOEVER THEY ARE) Glory doesn't matter much anymore, and besmurging names isn't going to do any harm.

@last page last post: Accusing us of being mad because we can't kill it is hilarious. SHE IS GLITCHED. WE LITERALLY CANNOT DO S'HIT TO BEAT HER. We could have 99k HP and do 1m per second and still NEVER beat her. We aren't jealous. We're mad that she's glitched. I even sent tickets in tespia telling them she was glitched in KMS and they clearly didn't test it as well as JMS did, and for that i am pissed as F'UCK.

I never even used or implied jealousy. Reread my post, then get back to me. Actually, don't. I learned a long time ago that everything you say means nothing.

They travelled in disguise to other territories to judge the situation of the enemy, they would inveigle their way into the midst of the enemy to discover gaps, and enter enemy castles to set them on fire, and carried out assassinations, arriving in secret

I don't understand. Are you insisting that quiet stealthy murder and theft on contract with people who would both kill and die for the insistance that they were not contractually involved is something I should admire? I'm not saying they aren't capable. They clearly are. I'm saying it has a direct and documented history of causing and enabling corruption. Yes, in Japan. And the relevant kind of secrecy has nothing to do with ninjas. It's about relations between people in day to day living. That hasn't generally involved secretly contracted killers on the regular. Especially not lately.

Are you serious? So, just because the crew who defeated Pink Bean made a video, the crew who defeated Cygnus MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT do anything different? They HAVE to produce a video and NEVER censor anything?

God damn, man. Seriously...

I'm on a phone so i appologize for confusion.

Whether you said jealousy or not doesn't matter much. It's a feeling very often coupled with rage or anything else negative someone would feel about this. You still understood what i said about your point yet back out because of a silly thing like a wrong word and for that we thank you.

It has nothing to do with backing out. I never backed out either. I am fully willing to participate in the conversation, but yet I don't care about anything you yourself say. 90% of your posts waste space. As an impartial observer that has seen a lot of these threads, I've noticed that the majority of your posts in these threads are garbage and a waste of space. Just look at your post on Page 3. Nuff said.

Now if anyone else would like to argue my first post on the previous page, go ahead, I'll be happy to converse.

Shikage why are you so set on defending them? I know you appreciate the japanese culture and their people but, do you even know them? Why can't you just accept IT IS POSSIBLE they went through a glitch or a hack to beat the empress.

By knowing them I mean being friend with them, not like "I've seen them around"

I never said I don't doubt the possibility that they maybe abused a glitch/bug to defeat it faster. HOWEVER, I think this sh*t is ridiculous that you people are saying that they're hackers or that they're doing something EXTREMELY BAD because they censored their information. WHY must they not censor their information? Why MUST they give out their character names and whatnot to you? Yeah, it's going to be defeated either way, so why the f'uck does it matter?

If you're truly and eagerly looking to discuss this with someone who is actually on point (such as what the japanese are able o achieve in MH lol?), I've been here for a while.

Frankly I find you assertions as ridiculous as takebackers.

So are you just ignoring me not doing these things out of convenience? You're taking a ridiculously accusatory tone for something you're not involved in. We aren't out to get you shikage. So what if takebacker is making an ass of himself 1. it doesn't mean you have to and 2. he did at least apologize. I have my reasons for thinking something is up and I explained them. None of them are what you're talking about. Hell i haven't even passed a judgement on it yet. I want to know more. I'm not insisting they are doing something extremely bad. Of what little information there is, i found a bit of it to be suspicious. I'm skeptical of when GMS topples bosses too btw. Even when they aren't the first version of the world to do it. I had the chutzpah to think Heffers group in the infamous PB run might actually have been kicked and ban for a valid reason.

Obviously it's possible but I'm pretty sure SP has a rule against accusing people of hacking...

byakugan Wrote:So Japanese players are totally against hackers but they don't mind purchasing from them? :f3

There must be a market if there are so many chinese hackers trying to profit in JMS. Not everyone must be legit, which brings me back to the point maybe those guys aren't legit.

Anyway i'm just saying, maybe, just maybe, those ones aren't legit players.

Also, I don't remember reading anyone's comment saying "They are hackers" or "They must be hackers" in this thread.

Can we cut the hacker accusation bull please? It's fine to speculate on what strategy they used, or how they avoided getting kicked out. It is not fine to say "oh they could have possibly hacked it!" and that contributes nothing to the thread or discussion.

Frankly I find you assertions as ridiculous as takebackers.

Japanese players in many MMOs have shown that Teamwork is above everything else. If no game is a better example of this, it is MH, a game where if you don't have teamwork, you get your ass handed to you. If they are so able to quickly formulate plans to get things done quickly, there's no difference than in MS. New monsters when released in MHFO have about a day before you can see strategies and plans on wikis, forums, etc for the game. How is this any different?

I've seen monsters get released in Frontier, and a day later videos show up on Youtube where they are killing that monster, at it's highest form, in minutes, when any group I can make takes over fifteen. Since these types of bosses are all about teamwork, it's no mystery why they are able to so quickly beat these kinds of bosses, regardless of how "weak" the version is.

The only evidence that people are using as to why they think people are hacking is simply because they blotted out their names? How insane is that? I've seen videos and screenshots where they are blotted out, for different versions of this game even, and no one bats an eye, or even makes this crap up. Simply because no one else has beaten the Empress before, that MUST mean that they are hackers. It's ludicrous. It's like saying that simply because that Bowmaster in KMS can do 200k a hit with Hurricane, all their gear must be hacked. They MUST be cheaters, because I've never done it.

I think it's mainly that we're confused how they still glitched but managed to loot drops. I mean it's been proven already that GMS can kill her if she doesn't glitch or always heals up. Frankly MS doesn't need THAT much organization. And to attribute this victory solely on organization is a bit... I dunno funny? For games like Monster Hunter or Vindictus, that require skill and reflexes, beating a previously unbeatable boss is definitely something to be appreciated.

Anyways I just think we want a video to learn how they got passed the glitch since the players themselves haven't said much of their process.

You also have to take into account the climate that plagues GMS. It's not surprising that, similarly to how KMS and JMS have really low hacking levels and you therefore get insulted at the accusation of them hacking, GMS players are more suspicious of any type of achievement due to the fact that in most cases here, hackers get most of the achievements.

But none of this is at all relevant. Especially not to anything I've said. You say you want to discuss what's happening. But insist i'm full of pomegranate by falsly inferring that i actually think some bowmaster has hacked gear and that the existence of Japanese teams taking down monsters in a speed run format is all encompassing proof that everything going on with this boss in maplestory is working as intended?

What exactly am i supposed to argue when to disagree at all in your mind just makes you think i'm the strawman you've made up for yourself and that the Japanese having some exceptional video game players is something that should banish all possible uncertainty about anything related to video games.

I don't think that. I'm not insisting anything at this point. I want to know more. The fact that super organized MH players are way better than you really doesn't mean anything.

This is why I don't post here much.

You fail to see the relevance. So I guess everyone who plays MH NEVER ONCE touches MS? Or contributes to MS in any way? You say as if people who play one game can never touch another game. Things learned from a game like MH can easily assist you in making strategies for this game. They have what...thirty players there? You want me to believe that there's absolutely no strategy in there at all? People are just mashing buttons and hoping things happen? That's how most GMS players play, they've said it themselves. Hell, that's how I play MS most of the time. I'm not saying that I myself would ever have the ability to do the Empress, but that's not the point.

If you get thirty players who know exactly what they are doing, and they formulate a plan to exactly time attacks, exactly time skill uses, to exactly time when to do certain things, you can absolutely do better than a group where everyone is just doing their own thing, with no coordination what so ever. That's exactly what they do here. They always do it. They've shown the ability to do it in MH, they can easily do it in MS, where there's significantly less variables to care about.

It's not my fault that GMS has a bugged Empress. Hell, for all we know maybe GMS could have beaten JMS in timing, but you also forget...JMS JUST got Empress. It was two days ago. I highly doubt even if Empress wasn't bugged in GMS, they would have done it in a week, let alone one day after it was released.

MHFO was simply an example of how the Japanese players can create teamwork beyond what you'd possibly expect or even think was possible. I would never believe half the runs I've seen and participated in myself unless I was there to see them. How is MS any different? If you have the people, and they can work together in the amount that the Japanese players have shown they can, they can do these kinds of things. It makes no difference on what game it is, because it's still teamwork. You guys thought Empress was basically impossible, I thought it was impossible to kill a Black Fatalis in 60 seconds. But both are quite possible, and both have been proven by Japanese players.

And sure, I will agree there IS a possibility that they are hackers, but it's so slim it's not even funny. I've never seen a native Japanese player hack. I've never seen any kind of record of it. We see videos and screenshots of Americans, Chinese, and Koreans hacking all the damn time, but I've never seen a Japanese player hack. Ever. And even if you can show me a video or a screenshot of a Japanese player hacking, with absolute certainty that it is a Japanese player, I could show you a hundred more of American/Chinese/Korean hackers for every Japanese hacker you find. Hell, people were flaunting their 15+ star gear when that stuff was going on, the GMS markets are FLOODED with duped items and gear, it's not even funny anymore. The likelyhood that these guys are hackers is just so slim, it's barely possible. So I will say that it is possible, but the chances are so unlikely that it'd mind as well not be possible at all.

Now I am done with this. I'm sick of posting the crap over and over. People will believe whatever they want to believe. If you want to believe they are hackers so that you can say your version is first at killing Empress, do whatever you want. Not like we can stop you, and it's not like it didn't happen for PB (I'm told GMS says they did it first all the time, but it was JMS).

I play MH. I've played quite a bit of it since MHFU. I'm rather good at it (funnily enough i'm better than any of my Japanese friends especially on the gunning in tri which has become my favorite part of any of the games) It's not that i can't see the relevance, but that i see how it actually isn't relevant.

Quote:You say as if people who play one game can never touch another game.

Uh what?

Quote: Things learned from a game like MH can easily assist you in making strategies for this game.

No, not really.

Quote: They have what...thirty players there? You want me to believe that there's absolutely no strategy in there at all? People are just mashing buttons and hoping things happen?

I never said anything remotely like this.

Quote:That's how most GMS players play, they've said it themselves. Hell, that's how I play MS most of the time.

Not going after serious bosses. The further i get into this the more it seems like you have no idea what you're talking about.

Quote:I'm not saying that I myself would ever have the ability to do the Empress, but that's not the point.

I'd hope you would. Ability has never been the hard part of maplestory. All of the skill that this game has is pushing the right buttons at the right time when there aren't really any wrong buttons and button mashing will work for most situations. And it isn't the point.

Quote:If you get thirty players who know exactly what they are doing, and they formulate a plan to exactly time attacks, exactly time skill uses, to exactly time when to do certain things,

You mean magic crash. It's like the only thing like this. And the timing generally isn't exact either. I suppose not healing when people are zombified or attacking damage reflect also fits under this, but hey i can get that kind of coordination out of randoms for BPQ. You have way too high of a perception on the difficulty level of this stuff.

Quote:you can absolutely do better than a group where everyone is just doing their own thing, with no coordination what so ever. That's exactly what they do here. They always do it. They've shown the ability to do it in MH, they can easily do it in MS, where there's significantly less variables to care about.

In maplestory, you can also just spend a bunch of money to be stronger than everyone and beat the pomegranate out of a boss not caring if you die because your money can quite literally bring you back to life. The bossing is a lot more like attack as much as possible than you think it is.

Quote:It's not my fault that GMS has a bugged Empress. Hell, for all we know maybe GMS could have beaten JMS in timing, but you also forget...JMS JUST got Empress. It was two days ago. I highly doubt even if Empress wasn't bugged in GMS, they would have done it in a week, let alone one day after it was released.

ok...? I 1. think you're wrong as we (we as in GMS i don't play this game serously anymore) were able to take her to the point where it seems like shes glitched within days and at first thought we were doing something wrong. 2. what does this have to anything i've said or these ridiculous things you insist that i'm saying?

Quote:MHFO was simply an example of how the Japanese players can create teamwork beyond what you'd possibly expect or even think was possible.

But it isn't beyond my expectations it's come to be exactly what i expect. The difference is I don't create a pineappleing stereotype out of it. MH isn't even the hardest game i've ever played. I've gotten pretty damn close to mastering several elements of it and spent less time than a lot of people who are worse than me at it. Is it because i'm Japanese? No.

Quote: I would never believe half the runs I've seen and participated in myself unless I was there to see them. How is MS any different?

Well for one i've never been surprised by it. For two it has about 2% (made up number) of the game depth (not to mention it's missing an entire dimension of space in comparison to MH). There is no great skill ceiling to aspire to in MS. Money will always make you much stronger than skill. No one can press their attack key so skillfully that they get more damage. It is that simple. This just seems like you have a problem facing reality.

Quote: If you have the people, and they can work together in the amount that the Japanese players have shown they can, they can do these kinds of things.

Cool stereotype

Quote:It makes no difference on what game it is, because it's still teamwork.

You're just wrong actually.

Quote:You guys thought Empress was basically impossible,

No i didn't.

Quote:I thought it was impossible to kill a Black Fatalis in 60 seconds.

Still not relevant

Quote: But both are quite possible, and both have been proven by Japanese players.

You might have to eat your words here.

Quote:And sure, I will agree there IS a possibility that they are hackers, but it's so slim it's not even funny.

Bullpomegranate. You don't believe your own words here and it's obvious. Look one sentence up.

Quote:I've never seen a native Japanese player hack.

Oh my pineappleing god this pomegranate again, again. I'm not even going to get into this it's just too idiotic. Seriously this insistance is so stupid. I am a little flabbergasted. Stop trying to vindicate yourself with this pomegranate. I already provided a REAL LIFE EXAMPLE (sumo wrestling and the corruption surrounding it, it was kind of a big deal several years ago) of corruption going on protected by typical "Japanese" privacy. Which both before and after it was proven to be happening many Japanese insisted it was impossible. I don't care about what you insist about these things. They are so obvious fallacious that it just makes you look bad.

Quote:Hell, people were flaunting their 15+ star gear when that stuff was going on, the GMS markets are FLOODED with duped items and gear, it's not even funny anymore. The likelyhood that these guys are hackers is just so slim, it's barely possible. So I will say that it is possible, but the chances are so unlikely that it'd mind as well not be possible at all.

So pineappleing what? these two things have literally nothing to do with one another. JMS evidently has a booming meso selling market oh ho ho look at me destroying your legitimacy as a player via indirect relation. Wait, no, that isn't how it works. Your insistent belief only makes it easier for you to be taken in. That is all.

Quote:Now I am done with this. I'm sick of posting the crap over and over. People will believe whatever they want to believe. Seriously this was such a waste of time. You have such an insanely biased notion of anyone who disagrees with you. No matter how much you believe in their legitimacy it will never ever actually contribute to their legitimacy. No matter how reverent you are of some Monster Hunter speed runs, it won't make maple story any deeper of a game. No matter what retarded pomegranate you think that i think if you didn't bother to read a word of or consider at all anything I've even said, you're probably wrong. One thing i can agree with you on is that you've been posting crap over and over. It's just full of blind belief and fallacious reasoning that you actually think is logical. Excuse me, but you don't have to be a skeptic to see a problem with that.

It's like you're trying to prove to me that the earth is not flat by showing how apples are actually the same as oranges when I never thought the earth was flat in the first place. And for the sake of an accurate analogy, you might be a little sketchy on what an orange is.
