It seems really useful on a Map Like Wolf Spiders or Skelegons or even ToT, means you don't cycle the map, but unless your teleporting back to the same platform seems good. Also <3 Evan Speed.
She uses Dragon Blink pretty well I think.

omg it's beautiful
The speed boost is just what the class needed. Dragon Blink looks like it could be useful on large maps like ToT. However, it would suck if it teleported you to a spot you just killed or move you a few pixels forward xD.

MrGen Wrote:I agree with you JoeTang, but I just don't think anyone is saying that it's obsolete. Rather, it's just one of those things that people could care less about doing it when attacking. I can only speak for myself, but I find it rather annoying to have to press up to activate Final Toss and follow-through with worrying about juggling them; when I could just spam attack without having to do anything fancy with arrow keys. And move on to the next mob of monsters. I have no idea. I just find it really easy and simple to do, and I use it a lot because it lets me move forward a lot easier without worrying about unpinning monsters. When I attack, I generally jump forward after each Overswing so things don't get knocked out of my range, so it's really natural for me to Final Toss mobs. I almost never overkill too because I Double Swing first, and see if I need the Triple Swing to kill them or not. It actually doesn't take any longer. Jellyflower Wrote:Final toss is really weird, or overswing in general. I think Fenrir/Judgement training after Big Bang would be the most effective route because you don't get such a massive boost in damage from having maxed out Critical Rate anymore. Especially since Fenrir does similar damage to what it is now, but only takes 50 Combo and is a second job skill and whatnot. Also, I like repeating myself but: Illusion sucks so baaaaaaaaaaaad. Right now, Phantom Imprint is the premier DPS skill, which is really cool because it's only 10 points and it gives increased damage on monsters it hits anyways. 903.6%/s before Booster after you mark something, which is really high compared to every other skill they have. Blaze comes in at 716.7%/s, so its use would be great against something weak to Fire I suppose. Dragon Thrust is sick good though. Almost matches Illusion's crappy DPS, and almost guaranteed knock-back with that speed means you never get hit.

Anyone else think Evans are...too fast now? I mean, they have a -3 Booster to begin with and now some of their skills have base cast times that are lower than other mages. The dragon just looks a bit strange tearing across the screen at that speed. I'm all for Evans not being slow and boring as pomegranate anymore but I think they overdid it.

Still quite slower than, say, Night Lords and the like. Anyways, it's good to not have a slow Magician for a change.

Wow that Evan looks tits...but useless Illusion makes me sad, that was the skill I was looking forward to the most. Looks so cool.

Dragon Thrust's new speed: 630 ms Triple Throw speed: 600 ms Their higher level skills are fine, but Magic Flare and Dragon Thrust look ridiculous. I don't understand why they need to make the higher level skills slower than the lower level skills.

The new dragon thrust looks preety cool. However I haven't seen Final attack being executed, I wonder if it's glitched.

Dragon Thrust is the same speed as Avenger. Magic Flare is the speed cap for most characters. If single target damage weren't worthless, I would say Magic Flare is severely overpowered for its level, but it's just a little too strong. Dragon Thrust is a bit overpowered though. Especially if you consider that he's using it to train at 120. Earthquake is fine where it's at, if not still too slow, considering how Dragon Thrust is more useful.

DPS-wise Evans are still underpowered, even if their skills are faster than other classes'. Ghost Lettering is their strongest single target and it's weaker than an EWand boosted Chain Lightning.

Part of the problem is they get Magic Flare at 5x and Dragon Thrust at 6x. No other job will have the speed or power to compete at that level, especially since Dragon Thrust can force monsters together like that, denying much more easily than other characters attacking. They could use some boost late game, perhaps, but they also have a significant magic attack advantage over regular magicians.

And in Reality Illusion doesn't look bad. People are freaking otu about it but it really does NOT look bad at all. EDIT: Isay this because look at the videos present. They're level 12x videos not even above 125. You can't really expect anything showing about a level 12x character. Wait till higher leveled videos come out THEN judge how this looks. From what I see the speed on Illusion is really making up for lost damage and even then the damage looks no where near bad. Skill was probably level 1 and they were still pulling about about 30k at rapid speed.

He could cast two Phantom Imprints in the same amount of time. The first Phantom Imprint would do about 45k. The second would do about 55k. Guess which one is better? |
