Sorry, couldn't help myself. Never been infracted upon by the way. Infractions on a forum are like pieces of paper being flicked at you across the room from that one big guy that you so totally don't want to pineapple with. Sure, you feel like going up there and telling him off, but you know he'll just punch you right back to your desk. So you stay seated, let him flick a booksworth of paper at you and hopefully transfer out of class. Only replace one big guy with moderator and transfer out of class as leave the forum and go to another and you get the idea. I'm just one of those guys that sits there and takes the punishment >.>

Then they are not trolls. There are various words that correctly describe the type of people you are talking about, and "trolls" is just not one of them.

It's not their intent that defines trolls, it's their way of operating.
My actions are indeed neither subtle nor clever (and are not intended to be), and they are also not meant to make anyone angry - since I am not trolling.

Yes, but in order for you to know that someone is trying to troll he must act like a troll. To go with your book analogy, if someone attempts to write a book but fails so hard that he ends up making a chair, no one can know he is a bookwriter.

I am completely aware of it, which is why I never directed the claim that trolling is misunderstood towards the administration or moderation of the forum - I was answering Will. The fact that you do not care about my opinion does not forbid me from expressing it and discussing it with other southperrians, and if you really don't care you can just ignore any post I make regarding this matter.

The analogy does not even remotely work, since one can never achieve an act of carpentry out of an attempted act of literacy. You would've been better suggesting an attempt at poetry that became a book or vice versa if you wanted to extend the existing analogy. To the point you tried to maim there, that was the purpose of specifying perceived trolling.

The fact that your opinion has no bearing on reality doesn't impact it's ability to mislead others by only representing your own viewpoint and biasing other people towards the flawed nature of the system.
Or in simpler terms - Just because the moderations staff knows your opinion means jack doesn't mean other readers won't and will appropriately take it with a grain of salt as Just Your Opinion. It's amazing what people will read, even in the funhouse, and take to be some sort of divine revelation.
