It's a joyous day today.

Oh, by the way . . .

Smashboards has changed significantly. I saw noobs posting all over the Brawl section, and yes, HH posts in the Brawl section. I'm not surprised, but also, Smashboards is extremely lenient, some people there type LYKE D1S AND U'D LIK TOTALIE KNO EIT JUST FRUM SEIN EET AND STUFFZ, YA KNOW WAT IM SAYIN?

But my point is, you'll only see hardcore srsbsns stuff in the Melee section. Brawl portion is all . . . . well, let's just say the picture below expresses how I feel:

Kawasari Mimoto Wrote:He posts in a more refined-tone on Smashboards. Maybe he was excited when he was here, but in terms of his grammar errors and over-usage of smilies/emotes, they're pretty much the same. He just seems like he's more-so adapted with the Smash community. That was the only difference I saw when I tracked his posts. I don't think he's trolling.

Also, judging on his Shoddy team info, in a post that he made, seems like the kid DOES know what he's doing. Which means he's capable of intelligent-thoughts, maybe he just sucked at showing it off here in this community because we're all a bunch of ass-hats that won't admit our own mistakes.

I do admit to this fact we are rather tight-knitted here. Seeing newcomers is rare compared to Sleepywood or the Smashboards, so maybe we just got too comfortable with veteran members and having grammatically correct and rather literate people that anyone who do not type well we automatically dismiss them as unintelligent. The problem with that is intelligence is not just limited to how we write/type. Maybe hyperhopper just stinks at typing, but talk to him in real life and he's rather competent. It'd be the same idea with how the average adult, even if they are very smart, probaby could care less how they write when they're on the internet, so they butcher grammar and complete sentences.

This also relates with the comments he gave regarding the Uganda thing which was what got him banned. His views are vastly different from ours, and from that you guys tried to knock him down a peg when you know full well that it does not work ike that. He did offended a lot of people. but that's probably only because it's real life. Smashboards are obviously heavily game related, so there's no real controversial matters hyperhopper could have picked on. Southperry has about as big a social section as there is a game section, so it's much easier to dive into matters that may make people tick. Smashboards? I see literally 2 boards there that are for discussing real life matters; then there's like 30ish boards devoted to gaming, including both versions of Smash Bros as the main topics.

Are we really getting into a discussion about HH possibly trolling us all because someone happened to pick the exact same name?

There's no way a super smash player as deep into the game as that would come to a maplestory forum and post in a completely different tone even if it was for lulz.

Horusmaster Wrote:wow... why are you still insulting him?

What? So you're saying that when someone is diagnosed with a mental disability, the doctors are insulting them?

I actually considered this from the beginning, and for this reason, tried to let him be, and avoid him for the most part (as far as directly talking to him went). I thought he did act pretty silly, and I admit to pointing and laughing at some points, but for the most part it was pretty harmless. Sure, there were the topic derails, and something had to be done about them, but some people learn more slowly than most and it's best to err on the side of leniency. Personally, I would rather let a possible troll have his way than alienate a legitimate poster, and that's what's going on here.

I'm nearly certain he isn't a troll; the tone with which he asked me about scripting in IRC was definitely sincere, yet consistent with his character as far as we've seen.

I've read the Uganda thread and I don't see what there was in there to make a big fuss about.

I got to the point of ignoring him on most of his "out of the funhouse" posts cause he seemed to not understand english when you flat out answer his questions. He seemed like he was unable to read anything, even when you quote him and reply right beneath the quote... I think several other comments in the uganda thread did need a warning if not an infraction, but as of now i doubt they would be informative to the recipients.

the issue is done with and until he either returns or is replaced the # of posts i'll pretty much ingore (except for the ones where chaos/humor ensues) will be lessened.

It wasn't a perma right?

He'll be back in a week?

Okay, I can't find any of the arguments in which he was involved. Regardless, creating a thread to celebrate another's ban isn't terribly appropriate. Maybe his ban was justified (I have no idea; I can't find his stuff); this doesn't mean he's any less a decent person for it. From what I can tell, most people were bothered by his assumed immaturity. What does that matter? It's not like this site's a freaking country club; we're not required to behave like gentlemen. Hell, I think I'd rather hang out with an attention-deficit 10-year-old than a boring old guy. If he shares some opinions you'd consider in bad taste, please remember that he's still a human: a product of both nature and nurture. Who's to say that if you had been brought up in his circumstances, you wouldn't share such views?

In conclusion...
