Wow nice one nexon.

IIt seems you're lacking a brain. You completly missed the point. The point I was making was because no one at the time reconizes a mistake/hasn't fixed it does not mean you have no responsibility in the matter. It's the other parties responsibility to clarify whether it is indeed a mistake, and if so to make sure the other party is aware of it. Using a real life example, theres consequence whether you chose to clarify or not if you take advantage of it.

The fact is no one did or did not know it was a glitch. Playing stupid and saying because nexon didnt put a notice up immediatly are ignorant and trying to play stupid. It's like stealing from a store and your excuse is you didn't know it was for sale. It's a grey area, all of you are saying because its a grey area you have a right to take advantage of it. You have a right to take advantage of a potential glitch because they didn't clarify it yet. Christ even if they did people, probably you would have done it.

This isn't about 'me missing out', I'm a dark knight, the mon is still better than an ht pendent in my perticular case because of speed and jump. So please stop making assumptions and present me some principle and perhaps common sense of why this would not be a glitch, or a potential one and people were to impatient to wait what? A month?

Thers a difference between any example I can put on the table, however the principle and idea is the same, it's not right these people are being compensated 10 fold of what they paid for because they were to impatient for a light to shine over a grey area. Oh which by the way is clearly stated in the TOS to not risk a grey area scenario in the first place.

So please hop off the testorone train I'm not headbutting with a 15 year old about ball sacks.

OK OK...

Your examples make no sense. When was the last time u went to a store and didn't think stuff was for sale? You kidding me? A store is a store, there is no grey area there.

Nexon changes the game just about every month with new content and new items and ways to make us stronger. Personally i thought this wasn't a glitch because hammers were made available and finally the HTP was going to be stronger or almost stronger then the MoN which it should be due to the difficulty of getting the htp vs the MoN. In the end it was pronounced a glitch. So fine give us our money back spent on hammers and w/e.

Now you wanna talk about grey areas. "Free to air", check it out you might learn something and finaly get an understanding of what a grey area really is, because you clearly don't have a clue.

GL cause you obviously need it.

Oh and btw, Nexon obviously realised it was their mistake if they are compansating players. Anyone with half a brain knows that, so stop your complaining and no sense examples and go for a massage or something, your way to tense.

And thus I give you a prime example of someone who has no concept of reality warped in his little mind.

You never heard a store owner say "Not for sale". You are thinking to hard, its okay though I'll make it even easier for you.

Grey area: a situation or area that has no clearly defined characteristics or that falls somewhere between two categories.

Theres two situations, glitch or not a glitch, with no defining characteristics (support on either side to make it concrete). My examples were clearly underlining that you don't do something just because you aren't sure of it.

You're right, and if you read anything I said you know I agree with you. You deserve compensation. However you don't deserve a compensation that gives you a much larger sum than you paid for, nearly double for some. Wasted your money on an ht pendent? Tough luck. Wasted your money on an egg? Tough luck. It was never addressed by nexon so in the back of your head you should be thinking; hm maybe I shouldn't do this in case nexon screws me over!.

Stop trying to talk down to me, it's not working. Seriously what is with this community and reading comprehension. :f6:

You know, I would care a lot more about making a profit off of an honest company. But this is Nexon America: the company that banned me for a week for fighting Pink Been and gave me no compensation (especially the damn masks). I have friends that were banned for leveling quickly during the Bigfoot thing even though they never set foot in NLC or Crimsonwood. I have long since stopped caring about what's fair to them.

I'll give you the hp washing even though that doesn't have such an impact to the community such as this incident.

Just for clarification, I'm not defending nexon, I just don't think its morally right for players who took advantage of a to good to be true situation and got more than they paid for out of it. Left, once again, the responsible players hanging dry when glitchers get rewarded for their impatience and get nearly 10 fold of what they paid for. That is not right in any given situation.

Nexon said that they realised players put money and time into upgrading their pendants. Maybe they gave a little kicker because of the amount of effort it takes to get a pendant to +3?

And your simply wrong and every1 knows it.

I don't need to talk you down, it's not my point. My point has already said I don't need to repeat

For compensation, I would of been happy with hammers because to me HTing is fun. However, Nexon figured more was in order. So like I said, whatever and who cares and lets move on now.

It's not like we created a v.hammer hack and hacked the htp. It was simply made available and thus many people thought it was all part of the update.

Anyway, I'm done in this conversation. Two sides to every coin and we are on two different sides.

So you assume your side is right? They made an error, players deserve compensation on their nx that they spent. Did you spend 50 so dollars on hammering an ht necklace? No? Then it's not balanced, you shouldn't get more out of abusing an obvious glitch. It's that simple and obviously you can't wrap your head around it.

I don't believe I'm the one lacking a brain here, seeing as you're the one whining for help in the Warrior section. As I said, you're peaching because you didn't have what it takes to risk something, and the people who did got 52 stat pendants for a while, and make some money off of it. It's using your brain. If no one took advantage of things when it was possible we'd be sitting in the stone age still and you'd probably be peaching about someone having a shinier rock than you because they went to the river to get it instead of finding it on the ground.

FluffyFoxxie Wrote:My girlfirend had a spare egg in her inventory. Someone on her BL says you can hammer an HT pendant and make it +2. So she does. Were we aware this was a glitch? Nope. Only until later we realised people were complaining about it and people were discussing the nature of how eggs apply to HT pendants.

So, should she be punished for not knowing of Nexon's oversight?

I don't think so, all of you need to shut the pineapple up with your "ALL U GLICH ABUSERS NEED 2 BE B&"

Edit: And to "ImVindicitve": the reason your example is RETARDED is because there are clear laws against doing such things, if you ever took the time to look it up. In MS, I don't recall seeing any rules against doing it. In fact you probably could have ticketed Nexon about it and they'd jsut give you a blank stare.

No, she shouldn't. Make a ticket about almost anything and Nexon will give you a blank stare.

ImVindictive Wrote:So are you saying your girlfriend deserves 60k nx for 4.4k nx used (if one hammer)?

My point at all don't imply "PUNISH GLITCHERS". I believe they should be compensated, but nearly 10 fold what they paid for. That's disgusting. And if your girlfriend was compensated the correct amount shes not a problem.

It seems everyone here can't handle my tldr; and assume I'm saying all glitchers should go to hell.

Point: Glitchers should be compensated, but not the amounts I'm reading. 8.8k nx does not equal 50k+ maple points. Of course this does exempt ap resets but just tag it on to your amount.

My example clearly shows society frowns upon people who do what they have done as of right now. It's a grey area, and it has been clearly stated by nexon "If it's in the grey area, most likely you shouldn't do it".

How on earth can I make this any easier to grasp.

Edit: Brb lunch Oh as a last note, the reason I used such an extreme example was to show there are laws against doing it for a reason. Some responsibility falls on your shoulders period. It seems my so called retarded metaphor isn't so retarded when you don't pinpoint on the 'punishment' and not the intended purpose e_e.

[COLOR="red"]Society doesn't frown on people for taking advantage of what's available. If they did, the most brilliant inventors in the world would be shunned for creative thinking.

Haven't you ever heard of the ideas of trauma and labor and all that pomegranate pertaining to the loss of time and depression and all that kind of good and happy stuff? Nexon's covering their tracks by giving more than what they took.

FluffyFoxxie Wrote:Actually she only got 15k nx. I hardly think that covers the cost of the hammer plus the additional egg she had, which by the way, they didnt give her a new egg like they did with some people.

I get why you tried to use that as an example, but what you don't get is that stealing from the government isn't a grey area. There are laws against it, and anyone who tries to steal money knows they are in the wrong, as opposed to this, how were we supposed to know, hm?

Nexon is a private corporation, they'll ban you. The government is a bit higher up than they are, they'll throw your ass in jail. Slight difference. I agree with Foxxie, there was nothing to indicate that this was a glitch. You don't here people peaching about others making 154/27 Lunchboxes..."BUT THER 2 OVERPOWERED?" Too bad, they have the money, let them do what they want with it.

Xaorath Wrote:The eggs are worth at least 200 - 300 million mesos each. Karma + Pendant + Egg = Easy 300mil. Yes, it does require two more pendants, but this is what I planned to do *if* Nexon had returned the eggs to our inventories. Also, let's not forget about the people who paid 1.5-2bil for these pendants.

You can say whatever you want about people buying a glitched item, but everyone who plays MS doesn't know that it was glitched. They saw a great item, they bought it. That simple. It's not fair to them that they log in a month later and have lost 2 eggs off their pendants.

This, not everyone goes on Southperry or (God forbid Sleepywood) to find these kinds of things out. They could have seen it and been like, "Oh cool, this could help me reset stats/help my damage/help my accuracy/etc.etc.etc."

ImVindictive Wrote:Oh sorry I thought we were having an adult discussion because an adult would notice that it's fishy that the server in which our game design is primarily based off of has nerfed Pendents while a hammer makes a 50 stat item when nexon itself said it was too broken nearly a year ago. Sorry fluffy but it still renders your arguement pointless. She had gotten compensated more than she spent. The eggs game value in Nexons eyes is nothing, thefore the compensated her 3x the amount she paid. Called me ole fasion but I prefer a fair compensation. I won't even begin to claim your argument is biased due to a personal issue.

Adults don't bold every other word. Adults know when they are speaking people listen, and you either have self-confidence issues or you're not an adult. Your superior "adultness" fails to realize this did cost people a lot of money.

KaidaTan Wrote:I'm butthurt because people did something I thought was bad and got rewarded for it. So I'm going to find a thread with a lot of these people and put random words in BOLD to try and make them all feel bad for committing an evil.

The funny thing is that HTP+3s aren't even better unless you reset 15-40 stats for it. It's really nowhere near as broken as you're making it out to be. And maybe Nexon Korea said the pendants were broken a while ago, but that didn't stop Nexon America from bringing out Marks of Naricain which are pretty much on par with the HTP+3s. As it stands, there's no reason for any class (aside from Magicians) to wear a Horntail Pendent.

[COLOR="red"]Well let's say someone is already dexless, we'll say a 1handed sword Hero *raises hand* So we get...47 extra STR from the HTP being +3, but lose weapon attack. The formulae for damage has STR * 4.0 in it...so...*goes to SP's damage calculator and switches MoN for HTP*

So with 750 STR and let's say 100 dex and 150 weapon attack with the MoN, your damage range is 2580 ~ 4650.

So we'll switch MoN for HTP...add 47 STR and 47 DEX, and take away 10 weapon attack...

You come out with 2615 ~ 4669 for a damage range. WOW. A whopping 19 points of damage added on to your range. Excuse me whilst I cut myself over it.

Some of their past claims include that Elemental Wands were working as intended, that Balanced Fury Stars were intended to not be recharged outside of New Leaf City, that 2x Cards would never be added to the game, the list goes on and on.

How do you know what Nexon values the eggs at? Maybe they actually thought it out and decided to compensate people for the eggs (as they should, since they were not returned to the inventory) or maybe they thought about the AP resets that some people have used. I think it would be hard for Nexon to give everyone personal compensation and track down everyone that used AP Resets, so maybe they took that into consideration as well.

This.

ImVindictive Wrote:Oh look, to further prove you lack the intelligence to even attempt to even be in the same conversation with me, there was a definite correlation. They weren't at all random and made a point, considering I rebolded the same word what 4 times?

See if you read my posts it's not at all about what you attempted to belittle me for. It was about unfair compensation to players who abused a glitch. First off they should get compensated the exact amount of nx they spent (if ap resets at all) but you should not be compensated 4 to 10 times that amount because you were to idioitic to wait until they clarified, which someone with common sense would think they'd approach the next patch.

Oh and as for the quote I wrote for you, I can make up crap to off assumptions that have no relevance to the argument once so ever too. Have a good day. Rolleyes

The thing is nexon didn't say anything. Nexon answered the ele wand/stars incorrectly but answered none the less. Once again, I'm not at all saying that it's not fair glitchers get compensated or that they are at total fault. However I am saying its ridiculous that they did, for your sake "unintentionally glitched" at a rush to get the top tier item rather than waiting for clarification and getting 10 times what they spent for it. I do believe they deserve to be compensated the correct amount they spent. I'm sorry but nx is nx, that is actual money, mesos can be regenerated out of thin air. If they really had a price on an egg they would have just put it on your account. The reimbursment should have been nx and solely the nx they invested.

[COLOR="red"]I kind of doubt they can check whether or not it was only the hammers. Maybe they're putting in for possible AP resets.

You're the one belittling here, saying I don't have a brain and telling people they're idiotic./I]

You have completely taken what I said out of context. Taking advantage of a loopole in the law is something frowned upon. Actually lets take law out of the equation because you are comparing the 'degree' of the scenarios rather than the principle. Let's say instead theres a class, the teacher leaves and leaves the test answers on the desk. The teacher is a real cluts and very chill and plays jokes and tricks all the time. The students argue he left them there for us to check and that this (like for the sake of example is just a joke test) A few students walk out to inform him, while the students are away the rest of the class take the answers and copy them. The teacher comes back and says "oh well my mistake, I'll compensate to you because you can't resist temptation", The students who cheat get 200/100 points on the test. Double what any student who had the morality to tell the truth could have gotten.

Is that right? Yes the aware crap was hashed in there but in almost every other version of maple this pendent is broken. Also this was an experimental item, there's obviously something wrong.

Am I mad I couldn't get one? Hell no, I need the speed and jump the mon give me than as you pointed out 19 points on my max damage. I'm dexless with 170 accuracy anyway so thers no point in a HT pendent for me.

Yes condone the fact that abusing glitches is a rewarding process. You know those people who dc hack you? Yeah they just got 90k nx. Think they deserve it for spending a whopping 8k nx?

Blaine Wrote:[[COLOR="red"]I kind of doubt they can check whether or not it was only the hammers. Maybe they're putting in for possible AP resets.

You're the one belittling here, saying I don't have a brain and telling people they're idiotic./I]

If I recall you started this belittling process by telling me to grow a pair. Yes that's very mature and helps your argument. If anything that shows you have a confidence issue. Are you so self conscience of your testicles that you bring it on others?! Herse something you learn in college phycology(which everyone should take for the hell of it) that phrase is such a fallacy and only amateurs even attempt to use it against others. That or they are rehashing the same speel they saw on tv or heard from their parents who live in a trailer.

And I'm extactic they got 10 fold of what they spent for abusing an obvious glitch.

Blaine Wrote:[It's barely stronger than the MoN. By 19 points of damage, to be precise.

Agreed.

Blaine Wrote:[Your morals are different than others. Making a living isn't bad. There's nothing wrong with this community, because it's exactly that; a community. You're going to have differing opinions on things, but you don't need to force yours upon us 16 times in the same thread.

By saying this do you agree it's justified people who abuse a glitch should be not only compensated but reward for it? People who took experiences away from other players in getting the pendent by monopolizing HT deserve this? And no I'm not in Scania, I play in khaini, I'm only speaking from what other high population servers had to deal with.

The fact is, everyone here deserves a compensation of what they paid for. That's just basic, how on Earth can you agree that because you went into a grey area you deserve to come back 10 times richer? There's no justice in that.

Blaine Wrote:[It wasn't obvious at the onset. They might have spent well over 50 bucks resetting stats to accommodate the new stats. Calling us stupid doens't help, by the way.

Yes and telling me to grow a pair does? I'm going to tell you aren't grasping what I'm saying when you come off as a frap boy. Sorry?

Yes because you have so much room to talk, or should I redirect you to where you complained about your low hp in a warrior forum. Goggleemoticon

Magnus: Please lock the thread. If I have to read about another biased post about how glitching an ht pendent and getting 10x what they spent to get it, is 'justified' I'll really flip.

As much as I agree that the compensation is too much, I highly doubt Nexon is going to go back and reduce everyone's compensation accordingly. Plus people have probably spent a lot of it. No point in arguing over spilled milk.

No but my "idea" to make it an equal ground might. Who knows they might listen if I not only post it in the Nexon forums(Better than a ticket I might add) and send a letter. I'll get my father to help type it up for me. He's a part time grammar nazi from College Park College(wierd huh) so I'm sure I could get him or one of his students to help me write one up Rolleyes
