GMS Server Status Discussion 2012-01

If hackers are really crashing the channels, I want to see a happy face in red on the GMS status page =[

Could be people outside(hackers), could be Nexon's servers, could be both. Why speculate the people/things responsible? Do something else till it blows over or whatever. s:

There's no proof
History and probability say that it's Nexon's incompetence or 3rd party factors. Remember Occham's Razor: the simplest solution is the most likely. And that solution is that Nexon, yet again, simply doesn't know how to run servers and that other people are taking credit.
On the other hand, it could be the aliens taking over.

apparently the servers have been crashing 1pm to 4am.

Probably the work of one person. of the defendants whose location is known, probably the guy in china is the best fit for time zone. unless Ryan Cornwell likes getting up very early in the morning to get back at the people suing him.

Anyway as for how long this will last - if my belief that it is the work of one person, probably a very long time. they probably will not find out what the packet is for a very long time.

A lame hope - if the person lives in Australia and still a school student, schhool starts next week. so it could end then when he/she goes back to school. Otherwise it seems likely that the crashes will go on for a long time.

and edit from my last post - since the person sleeps 9 hours a day probably they do not have bad acne, but stil they are likely to have glasses and be skinny short and pale.

I agree. its totally one person doing the crashing. apparently the nexon servers can be crashed by sending a certain packet which of course this person has kept to him or herself. Remember the cake v pie event and others lolol.

In addition the group of hackers theory fails as you would expect the group to have members on all day.

as for the person not having a life - well the person can sell the duped equips for hundreds of dollars each. which of course is partly due to those who buy these, but you ca't reall change their puchasing decisions. so the person probably made tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars by crashing the server.

the only good thing we can think about to make ourselves feel better is that the hacker is probably short skinny pale and with bad acne. but he/she would be fairly rich and have enough money sellling NX to buy lots of cool junk

anyway this person seems to live in the same time zone as I am which is very irritating since I am unable to do any rings.

LOLOL Nexon has already given us a 2exp compensation which is lol and ridiculous

the ring event extension - while many have demanded it, it makes no sense to give the extension now when they don't really know how many days will be disrupted.

its probably the work of one person, since they are taking regular 9 hour breaks to sleep lol. even as a hacker they still have good healthy sleeping patterns lolololol

if it were more than one person they would be able to take shifts and crash all 24 hours, boosting their profits from duping. Also the person is likely to in East Asia/ West Pacific Ocean area given the times it has been crashing
