So you use the Templar on your Barb? How come?

Got to paragon level 20 today. Also found my second 6 prop glove plan. Too bad they're less than 3m now (sold my first one when it was 30m).

Prob the hp regen and stun?

The Enchantress is still miles ahead of the other followers. Her abilities are great, she doesn't jump into mobs to die and she can actually kill stuff.

I feel bad for the monsters when a regular hit can nearly one-shot zombies, and I can Leeroy Jenkins into non-elite swarms and come out alive with just Rend bleed leeching.

Zenkat Wrote:So you use the Templar on your Barb? How come?

I was initially using him because I was dying far too quick, so I swapped out Enchantress for Templar so I can stay alive better. However, now that I have a powerful new weapon that is practically 4x stronger than what I was initially using, I'll change back to Enchantress.

Shidoshi Wrote:The Enchantress is still miles ahead of the other followers. Her abilities are great, she doesn't jump into mobs to die and she can actually kill stuff.

I know. I'll be using her again now that I have such an OP weapon. I may need to up my gear as well, because even with my weapon I'm a hilarious form of a glass cannon. If I'm under attack by Arcane enchanted mobs I tend to die very quickly. However, with one Rend I can stay alive and run circles around them. On swarms I will die unless I Rend and drink their blood for sustenance, in which I simply can't die with Rend up. In other words I will die badly if I don't do anything for ~5 seconds. However, everything just DIES when I hit them with a single Rend.

And yes I've gone back to a Rend build, only since I am not overgeared enough to honey badger everything like I was doing in Nightmare. Once I update my gear though, Whirlwind will be back in full force.

I know I should probably buy more resists..but not sure. Any tips and tricks? Big Grin Sometimes I think I should've just rolled a Barb. But dem bewbs--

My stats with Sharp Shooter

Edit: I just swapped my +10 Disc cloak for this one, but not sure if I want to keep it.

bit late but...

ball lightning + sharpshooter = terrible synergy
ive never liked ball lightning much anyways, it gets me killed against phasebeasts and lashers. cluster bombs are much better once you get used to aiming them (and youll probably want companion bat too instead of RoV). but if you like it, drop sharpshooter for like tactical advantage so you at least get something out of the passive slot.

disc cloak > all imo
unless its a nats set!

So I got this game a few weeks ago. Just finished nightmare mode and was surprised to hear you could select what spells you want on youtube because I had some trouble at diablo himself. Really annoying that I've to find that out when I'm fucking level 50. Anyways I've never delved into the diablo series much, so some questions Smile

1) What should I do with stuff I find? For now I just dissassemble everything blue and yellow that I don't use and put it in storage. I heard magic find was important so items with that I keep in storage. I'm a wizard by the way.
2) Does the weapon matter? Like do I get some penalty if I use a sword as a mage?
3) What stats are exactly important on wizards? Intelligence seems to be for damage and maybe for arcane power regen? Vitality for health and the rest is useless?
4) Should I focus on crit chance? certain spells seem to benefit heavily from it. I didn't even knew mages could crit since I was still used to maple where they needed sharp eyes...
5) Is this so called auction house I keep hearing about important? I never really entered it as I was kinda just looking to play alone for awhile since I was tired of dealing with others at League of Legends.
6) What follower is best suited for a wizard? I get the templar now constantly because he saves my ass a ton.
7) How much do you die on average as a wizard? I sometimes die like 4 or 5 times facing an elite pack and I feel kinda bad about it XD Let it be noted that I only used mirror image and diamond skin because I didn't know yet you could change spells.
8) I got this orangey item from diablo at normal, but the stats kinda suck badly. Should I keep it? It's like the only orange thing I found so far...
9) Can I view a skills damage somewhere? I was using disintegrate a ton because I liked how fast it could kill objects with the extra beam rune, but after a youtube video I saw how much more damage arcane orb did...

Sure I can think of more later, but this'll do for now. Thanks in advance for anyone that will take the time to anwser my questions Smile

1) You should pretty much sell everything you find to NPC unless it's really good. What constitutes really good would depend on what level you are. Generally when you're below 60 anything with main stat + vit and +exp + movement speed is decent.

2) Doesn't matter. The big number DPS on the weap matters the most, then attack speed, socket, crit dmg and stats.

3) Depends on your build. Before lv60 I'd say just get as much int and vit as possible. When you're 50+ close to 60 you can start focus on some specific build. Critical mass wizard is the current popular build among wizards so crit chance and AP on crit should be your priority (if that's your choice of build).

4) Yes at a certain point main stat (int for you) and weapon dmg will only increase your DPS so much. You pretty much need crit if you want to further increase your damage. Crit is also used for a variety of things such as AP on crit. If you get AP on crit on your helm/source/wand and you have high crit, you basically won't run out of AP ever.

5) AH is half the game. Or more than half the game if you like to merchant. It's where all your gear would be coming from unless you like your game really really hard. Usually you can find gears that are miles better than anything you can find yourself for really cheap. You should also sell anything good you find that you don't use yourself on the AH.

6) Below 60 templar is pretty good. After 60 you should probably change to enchantress since she can increase your armor and atk speed.

7) Vary from person to person obviously.

8) Orange things are legendary. The best gears in the game are legendary. Though a lot of the times they can suck too. It's luck of the draw really.

9) Tool tips? You might want to look over the options menu. For any game or software the very first thing I'd do is look at the options menu. This way you don't miss stuff like elective mode and advanced tool tips. You can also check Blizzard's website. They have very detailed guides on everything. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/class/wizard/active/

Is anyone else having random disconnects? I've tried all their connection troubleshooting options and nothing seems to work. I didn't have this when I played from France.

Nope. Perhaps it's your internet instead.

Level capped, reached. Diablo in Hell, down! And I came close to dying to mere zombies in Act 1.

Time to farm Hell Act 3 for Paragon levels and higher level gear.

I'd suggest farming Act 1 on Inferno if you can, the chance of getting Inferno viable equips on Act 3 of Hell is abysmal.
That or investing your money wisely on the AH for real Inferno equips, I'll take a look at your profile and gears tomorrow and see if I have some suggestions or hand-downs. I'm no double tornado expert though.

You still 2h? Might be time to go back to sword/board for longevity. At least until you get your resists up.

Point taken. I'll must the ability to stay alive in Act 1 so I can get dem better gears.

I was 2H, but switched to dual wielding again. Rocking 1.1k LoH, so it should keep me relatively alive in Act 1. I can't really see myself surviving Act 2 though in my current state.

This deserves its own post. There is already a Paragon level 98 (at the moment of this post) Barbarian named Alkaizer! He's been playing for about 2 weeks. Using WW Barb as his grinding spec.

http://www.diablofans.com/news/1337-alka...evelopers/

Found his profile: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/alkai.../hero/2190

DAT Immortal King set, and DAT 317 DPS +899 LoH/191% bonus critical damage offhand. DAT 2.5K STRENGTH. He's got just under 2k LoH, and for sheer trivia apparently drinks water for the majority of the time instead of energy drinks (as one would expect a gamer to drink).

Wow, he has so much resists on his equips that he ditched War Cry... wow.

He said he spent $1500 on his current gear and he's earned around $3000 in RMAH since the patch. He has no problem spending money if he sees something good in the RMAH 'cause he knows he can earn it right back.

Indeed. He's practically gone honey badger mode on Inferno. Madness!

Considering he says he finds about 20 Legendaries a day (misheard?), that's not a huge surprise.
