One Piece thread (Spoilers)

I'm more excited to see the strawhats forced to get serious. It's the set up before the slaughter and it was too short of a chapter

I want to see how sabo is planning on taking the tournament. That and seeing don getting destroyed by luffy, which by extension is him getting serious which we haven't seen yet. The results of the fighting itself (the country being restored, what happens to the meru meru fruit, luffy x law alliance) should be awesome too. Nothing else quite interests me yet, since i'm expecting sanji to get completely f'ucked but if not that will be mind blowing. There's just so much going on with so much unprecedented build up that if we get more twists in this arc i'll just die.

Dude, OP was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good today. I love how their plan works out. Once trebol and the girl are finished, soldier gets his body back, wreaks the old man and then the plan continues. Kind of like a domino effect.

I don't think they even said that was what happens though. Earlier, they said when she loses conciousness, everyone would remember who the toys were, rather than they would get the bodies back. Maybe it was a translation issue.

And for that matter, how would they even know what the effects of knocking her out would be?

Either it would have happened before (Then why wasn't there already a massive revolt against doflamingo?), the knowledge of the particular devils fruit is public (No-one could possibly work out that the one town with an army of living toy workers is the one where the very specific power is at) or they're making it up based on nothing.

Can we just hurry up and have ussop fire the pill in her mouth already, and go back to luffy/zoro going to fight doflamingo, because that's all I'm interested in.

Op tends not to leave any loose ends, itll most likely be elaborated after/during the battle. It could be assumed the gnome spies acquired this information. But by your logic, luffy, would not be rubber when he's asleep which is not true. Or when Lucci was finally beaten he didn't revert to his form, while kaku did.

Luffy and most other devil fruits don't stop working when they're not conscious. We've known that forever, say, since when luffy was drowning in the arlong arc after he was tossed in the water, couldn't move or breath by himself even after they stretched his head above water (proving both that his fruit still worked and that he was unconscious).

Starting to agree. His moment in enies lobby was pretty worth him existing as a character, and i hope it's even more awesome in this arc since it's shaping up to be the best one yet.

There's a common theory being discussed that Usopp forgot about his character development involving robin because she's now a toy. I don't necessarily agree with it, because it seems like they remember events but the people within them kind of disappear. Although, it would explain his sudden relapse, I was really hoping instead of being a coward he'd just become a nervous eater trope.

Interesting, not quite the redemption I was hoping for but I'm sure he'll make some explanation on how he had to make the distance.
