not if they do too, and i dont die
modular Wrote:no not really, one of the advantages of boots is using your super early speed advantage to lure in a gank and be able to escape from it. it wastes your opponents time and allows your allies just that much more freedom.

im not saying i dont make early pushes and only farm, because i do push sometimes. but when their jungler starts running towards you, what do you do? flash, ghost, run. boots mean you dont need that ghost and can take another spell in its place. i prefer tele for its different purposes. and i already have a slow that nets me the same speed advantage as ghost in late game.

You say yourself you have problems escaping if a teamfight goes sour, you know why? No ghost.
Ghost got a low cooldown and that's why it's amazing, also you don't need ghost or flash to escape a jungler coming to gank you if you use this one simple thing: WARDS.

And that 1 for 1 trade isn't smart. Neither of you should die.

It's even worse if they have two people killing you.

Aside from Nasus, whom I kinda discarded atm, Irelia is now my first serious melee champion. It's all fun and cool being all up in their face and crap, but holy crap it's such a different mindset to be in. When I decided to take a break from Irelia to play Anivia, I did sooo many bad things with her >.<; It took a full game to reverse my playstyle from a melee to a ranged.

On a related note, Irelia seriously suffers from the anti-pattern of "optimal outcome".

situations arise when you wont have a ward. should i stop farming after 3 minutes just to go back and buy wards when im at full health and mana and every skill i have is ready? why wouldnt i just keep farming or go ganking? backing is for when you have 2k+ gold and/or need to heal... not JUST for buying wards.

You know you can buy more than 1 ward at a time? Wards have been reduced in price heavily, bringing 3-4 wards with you isn't hard.
You say you play with tele, go figure Smile

And i play jungler, i usually buy the wards for our team, i bring 4 wards place 2 at their lanes, go back to jungling, when they expire i place 2 more, back to jungling ( i gank whenever possible ofcourse ) and before those expire i go b and buy 4 more, rinse and repeat for the rest of the game, just after laning phase you place them other places like blue buff baron and dragon.

This is why DotA and HoN are so much better.. You can buy a courier that can deliver items to your lane, it costs a good portion of gold early game but is 100% worth it, also enemies can kill it so you gotta be careful.

Edit: Maybe this'll teach you what i mean:

Edit2: Wards are OP for their price but people don't realize this, in HoN wards got a 3 minute cooldown and there's a max of 4 stacked up in the shop at a time. They give what can easily win you the game.

Edit3: Also if you play ashe it's your babysitter/supports job to bring you wards, doesnt matter if a support doesnt get minion kills seeing that those belong to you, and doesnt matter if they lack 1 or 2 levels since they're more important on you as a carry.
Double kill first blood, bad Anivia, feeder TF, etc.
I'm thinking of making a vid of DotA LoL and HoN, to show off random and fun moments. Mhhh, would have to record some LoL then.

Lol @ calling Spiegelmann a feeder. Rolleyes
I've been losing so much in the last week. My wins and losses are now equal and I'm not sure what step I need to make to improve my game, or if it's even related to my game.

Edit: I think I/my teams frequently suck at pushing. I get into a lot of games where I have a solid score as an individual or our whole team is ahead in kills the whole game until the last push or two. All game long we suck at knocking towers. Any general tips on getting off the defense and on the offense?
Lost two games in a row because of brutal server lag. -_- Had a lot of fun fountain diving, though.
I hate Anivia. Goddamm it.
Corn Wrote:I hate Anivia. Goddamm it.

Oh, you'll hate her more if Kaj plays the Cryophoenix against you. Biggrin

And...Rammus does not like having to stack full on MR. He likes AD much better. If I use Rammus and play against an enemy team made up of 100% casters, I'm somewhat f'ucked, lol.

Out of 5 games I played last night, 3 games had enemy teams composed of Casters. GG me.

FUUUU.

Everyone fed Pantheon like crazy. I managed to last 25 minutes without dying.

First lag, then this. I want to have a good game sometime tonight.

It's finally up!

Renekton buffs incoming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!

Can't wait to play him after the buffs.

I hope they don't hit rammus too hard Sad
I have a feeling that Rammus is going to get the nerf bat pretty hard.

It felt like they didn't mention very much in this preview.. I'd like to see what's happening to Vlad, too. Guinsoo said something on the forums about making Vlad easier to lane against, or something.

They didn't implement the change to taunt's cooldown last patch so that's going to be fixed. My prediction is that they're going to reduce the speed on his powerball at earlier levels to make him a bit less effective at ganking.

If they change taunt's duration I'm going to rage.
Well I had some awful lag for a while now. And a terrible terrible game just a few minutes ago. I decided to try out Nasus since he's a hybrid character and I wanted to add another character to my lineup in case Yi or Cho was taken. It'll probably take me some more games to get good with him, but I didn't do so terrible for my 1st real game with him . . . it was my team that pineappleed things up. MF fed the opposing team's Ashe, we had a new tank Cho who didn't know what randuins or thornmail was, and was following the recommended items, and the Ashe on our side was dced from the beginning. At first Cho was solo against Karthus, but he couldn't tank well, so I replaced him with a sliver of health left on the tower. I kept Karthus from destroying it and pushed him back to his tower, at least until he and a few others came up and got it. Eventually the fed Ashe started to make moves on the middle turret, and I tried to stop her. I only died 2 or 3 times to her out of the 6 deaths of the game, but there wasn't much I could do about it given the situation. Everytime I tried to shut her down, she had team backing her up, while I had Heimerdinger as the only other competent player and he was just too squishy to do much a lot of the time. I wonder if it would have been better for me to take mid and let MF deal with Karthus. I suspect I'd have at least done a slightly better job dealing with the harass and ganks, even if it was melee vs ranged. Still I feel like I did a decent job as Nasus, and with some more practice, I'll have another character that's pretty good. Also, I think he might be better suited for random games because I can build him into a tank if needed, or a carry if worse come to worse. Though in some situation, even if i wanted to go carry instead of tank, it wouldn't matter given the sheer lack of help with teammates you sometimes get.
Ah, I understand why they nerfed mana regen runes now.

They're increasing base champion MP5 so being able to cast spells often isn't so reliant on which runes you've got. I think I'll be using my armor seals and whatnot more often now. Big Grin

Sorry but TL;DR.

I did catch that you said you were lagging, though.

It was the servers. They were horrible. Losses will be forgiven.
