Applied for a new job to replace Michael's and interviewed with them on Monday. The interview went great, but I didn't get the position I had applied for, but they said I would be a good match for another position that they may be hiring for. On a positive note to add to that, one of my friends that works at the company (2 friends work there) texted me telling me their boss came in and asked about me. So here's hoping that hear back from them for that position!
Phew...I need to think a lot about a new job offer.
Current job: from 9am~1pm (sometimes 2pm) and pays decently well. Very flexible with scheduling days off and can also see and hang out with BF later in the day.
New job: from 12pm ~ 4pm and pays better than the current. Little flexibility and will not be able to see BF due to time constraints.
Decisions decisions...I need life advice on this ._.

If you need the money and/or is a good career move go for it, otherwise why sacrifice life for more money?
As for my days lately, school started again finally, I'm also learning Russian and I'm trying to watch as much of The International 5 as possible. I'm enjoying all of it and despite having almost no time left to play games or sleep that much.

Still drowning in a financial crisis but slowly getting out of it I think maybe idk just waiting on that lovely financial aid to drop in
i'm never drinking fireball again, despite how much i loved it previously. i'm also sorry to my friend for throwing up in your bed and making it smell like fireball. however, i can't help that you have bunk beds and your friend put me on the top bunk, went back outside, then i start screaming your names because i need to throw up but no one is coming to get me down. i am pretty sure i would've fallen 4 feet and died. god bless.
moved to baltimore and finally settled in. grabbing the last pieces of furniture i need (ikea chairs) today and im good to go. way too much open space in my apt but id rather that than the opposite.
Took me like 5 hours and 20 bucks to learn how to use a sewing machine and alter my own shirts. Absolutely worth the effort, now I can buy random pomegranate and have it fit!

Got an interview for the other position I mentioned in my last post, which ironically came the same day I got employee of the month for the month of July at Michaels (finally, but still too late). Just have to edit some photos in Photoshop for the interview and cross my fingers!
Also, speaking of Michael's, we currently only have 1 working cash register, and this has been the case for about a week now. IT services for Michael's is utter pomegranate it seems.
A Singer would probably be the best machine, but I got this thing for 20 bucks and it works okay, only it can only do one stitch and I can only manual reverse stitch.
Everything else, look on YouTube. It took me like 4 out of those 5 hours to figure out how to work the thing, then after that I tried altering and old t-shirt and it sucked. I tried 3 more times before I did a good job, and just now I altered two more shirts to fit perfectly. Basically you pull at both sides to your desired fit, measure how much you pulled. Then measure your arm and forearm, both relaxed. Mark the shirt accordingly at the forearm, arm, armpit, and torso, connect the dots, sew. After practicing a few times you'll be able to do it easily.
EDIT: I followed this video along with some written guide on r/malefashionadvice to learn:
1. Wear shirt, pull both sides at the seams until the fit looks good, then measure how much you pulled (fold it over to make it easier if possible)
2. Measure your arm and forearm, both relaxed
3. Turn the shirt inside out. Lay the sleeves flat, seams at either edge, and measure the width at the arm/forearm. If the sleeves already fit, that's good.
4. If not, take half of your arm measurements, add half an inch, then mark appropriate points at the sleeves.
5. Lay the torso flat (seam at the edge), mark your initial torso measurement.
6. Take the average of your upper arm/torso measurement, mark that at the armpits. If your sleeves already fit, you'll be tapering the new seam back into the existing seam at the sleeve.
7. Very important: All of your measurements are from the seam.
8. Also important: If your shirt has a seam with any kind of width and you're marking from opposite sides of the shirt, then the markings on the back should be measured from the outside end of the seam, and those on the front should be from the inside end. Opposite if your sewing machine is left-handed.
9. Connect the markings, proceed to ruin your shirt.
Being in school is cool but sometimes things get so weird. I'm on a 20-30 people group chat and an argument started like 2 hours ago over the most inane mixup. Both sides are wrong, they know it but for some reason they keep going and going... One of the teachers who's also there sent the correct information, everyone saw it and yet these people keep going. I don't think my phone has seen this much activity ever.
EDIT: Hahaha, teachers had to send an email stating the same again. It's so sad yet the "flames/insults" are hilarious, I kinda wish I didn't spend so much time on reddit and other mostly English speaking websites so I could see more people arguing in Spanish.
