I hate the new Special Shop.
At first I was glad for the decorative items, but ugh! The shop shows up so rarely (even though I'm at over 80k points) and is so full of crap! Seriously, what is it with normal buildings at a discount? Oh hey, I can buy this building that's normally 5k waru for only 3k. Once. Whoopee! Definitely worth taking up a slot out of the precious 6 the shop has.

Strange, I was having problems with the Special Shop not appearing, just as you are right now. After this recent patch though, it's appeared very frequently and it even restocked twice in the same day.

I still pretty much only get it if I enter the farm from midnight-2am PST, dunno.

In my experience it used to show up more frequently if you checked up shortly after midnight, but it would only show up more than once per day if you saw it between 12 and 12:30 AM PST. I think you can still see the special shop multiple times per day if you see it the first time shortly after midnight, but it doesn't seem like there's a higher chance of it showing up shortly after midnight anymore, and there's definitely days I don't end up seeing the secret shop at all.

Special Shop just appeared.

Secret Garden showed up... I didn't know buildings you couldn't even use could show up. Waste of a shop space.

I'm don't know if this has been brought up before in this thread, but anyone trying to level their farm who is doing so primarily by combining, nuturing and releasing should make themselves a Pharaoh Yeti.
'Farm exp gain +5' may not seem like a big deal at first glance, but it means you get +15 instead of +10 exp for every nuture, so basically 50% bonus.
Since I don't see a Pharaoh Yeti on every high level farm, I'm assuming there are a few others besides me who haven't clued in about this yet.

Anyone else getting the impression that the randomizer for selecting which monster you get from combining doesn't update very often?
It seems like if I have two spaces free, and combine with two identical monsters on a farm in quick succession I am quite likely to get the same result twice. Or maybe I'm just imagining a pattern, don't know.
Almost tempted to do some experimenting.

I had a level 24 Lyka yesterday (expired today lol) and was combining with PassingWind's maxed out Lykas (level 25-30) and they all came out crap. Then did some random lower-level Master Birks and got S ranks galore (3 new Lykas, hooray, dropped a Master Birk)


Personally don't have Pharaoh Yeti cause I'd need to free up 2 more slots (one for the Pharaoh Yeti, one for whichever precursor - and neither has a useful bonus). I've had pretty hit or miss luck with Specials so I don't want to have to spend a bunch of Waru just to level a bit faster. Like, I've done the Lyka+Phoenix combo with level 20+ Lykas for at least 50-100 tries and never got Shinsoo. It's not like going from the current level 25 farm to a maxed out one materially helps much - I guess it does give me a couple more slots.

Getting non-SS specials always took less than a day of combining for me (granted, I've only made 4 non-SS specials.) Does anyone else have similar luck?

It took me 15 combinations to get my Twin Moon Bunnies to renew. The time before it it was 3 combinations, so it can really vary. The specials I have tried for are Shinsoo which I got one(got this one in just a few combos), and Pap Clock which I still have get to get(and I gave up). I was also able to get Mole King in about 30 tries and failed to get Blackheart when I had my Giant.

The monster incubator is an NX feature. I am not 100% sure how it works, but I assume you buy it and open it and you get a monster. There are two kinds, one that give useless monsters like the Mir we got in the hot time, and supposedly another that is more expensive that allows you to combine the monsters you get.

Thanks for directing me there (and Prism, you too!). I was buying random stuff hoping it'd work to no avail, and now I can finally get that quest done.

As for the whole combining thing, I've seen it both ways, for both non-SS and SS specials, as it took me like...150 tries to get Papulatus Clock while it only took 1 try to get Pharoah Yeti (in fact, I did a random combination, and got it without knowing what it was). I'd LOVE to know if there were specific statistics, but my experience hasnt pushed in that direction.

I'm a little low on waru atm (just renewed Bovines + bought Zakum's palace) but I'm gonna start tracking my success rates on specials and see if it gets me anywhere.

The Pharaoh Yeti took me 6 combinations which is pretty cheap altogether, lol. I think it took me about 30k to get the A rank Yeti n Pepe, plus that 18k = 48k for a Special.


The trouble with stats like 1 in 10, 1 in 20, is that as a rule you need a pretty enormous sample to measure them accurately. I'd probably want 10-15 successes to make a real guess, so if it's 1 in 20, that means 200 combinations to estimate it.

Is there some trick to leveling up your farm faster? Even with doing as many repeatables as I feasibly can and also nurturing all of my monsters 3 times a day, I'm only getting like 6,000 exp per week.

As someone said earlier, if your main source of farm exp is nurturing and releasing monsters, get a Pharaoh Yeti for a 50% increase every nurture.

I stopped grinding away at nurturing and releasing once I got level 21 and just kinda did daily stuff from there to get to 25. I just don't understand how people have farms over level 35 already. Did all of them just keep spamming combine, nurture, release, repeat?
