Personally I only stack Doran's Blade if I have pretty much no cash and it seems like we're gonna lose.

Otherwise it's a waste of cash and you're better off trying to get the next item.

I don't understand why boots are even a viable starting item for Ashe, care to explain?

sure, i feel like 300 move speed just isnt enough at game start. i take tele instead of ghost for the occasional free kill or tower defense. boots replace ghost at the beginning of the game for getaways and harassment. i definitely have issues mid and sometimes late game with escaping ganks once everyone else has boots too, but imo the difference in utility is made up for by my awareness of my map position and proper use of tele to gank, help prevent ganks, and scare off tower pushes. additionally, like duelman said, dorans encourages autoattacking, and my 3 hp pots often last a LOT longer than the other persons doran item + 1 hp pot because i can harass them off the creeps if they arent careful, and just farm and dodge their harassment if they are.

also, proper last hitting and use of volley to prevent your tower from ever attacking their creeps but still allowing the opponent to push to your side of the lane can be really important for farming and ganking, and while the extra damage from doran helps you last hit, it also takes away 1 more minion attack you couldve used to allow your opponent to push more, which can add up to them being ready to be ganked by the time your jungler is level 4.

plus, you end up buying boots on your first back anyways on everyone, and every single ashe should get infinity edge asap... so to rush that bf sword, *not* getting boots first delays you by another 350g.

IE isnt quite as much of a necessity on miss fortune, dorans blades might be better on her.. im just used to rushing bf sword asap, and am pretty good at farming it up before having to b. i dont play anyone besides ashe much, but when i do my builds are similar for kog, cait, and mf.

unfortunately, i find that the true laning phase is usually over by the time i can grab the bf sword since its so damn expensive, but it totally destroys any lane thats still early game farming, especially if you know where everyone is and can push freely.

Dorans blade is best used on akali to activate one of her passives with a Atk dmg quint gives spell vamp added on to the life steal. Great survivability early game and never have to buy a AD item till end game

Akali is obviously an exception since she's not an AD character.

And actually AD quints aren't needed anymore since one of the recent patches.

Now a doran's blade+ brute force mastery will activate it at lv 1.

Stacking rings/blades is very nice if you have just about 400-500 gold that you have nothing to do with. It's better than just going back with nothing and waiting for the next item by going back to your lane and farming.

If you're talking about Elementz's, his is really subjective. Sivir used to be tier 4 until he got stomped by one, it then immediately moved up to tier 1. Caitlyn, on the other hand, just sort of disappears in terms of damage after a while.

Not to mention Katarina, Garen, and Kayle are also near the bottom (I played them a couple of times).

Shame I don't yet have enough cash to buy Caitlyn, though, I need roughly 1k more...goddammit.

Kayle honestly is bad. Her ult blocks people from damage, Morgana's... shield blocks spell effects outright, including damage IIRC.

You shouldn't be playing Morg to use her shield. If you want a spectacular shield, go for Sion.

Kayle is a scary AP-AD hybrid carry when played well, combined with gravy movement speed and some tower-diving capabilities post lvl 6. Morgana's Black Shield does not block auto-attack damage (not sure about physical spells), but the anti-CC properties are wicked sick. It's still possible to burst it down and proceed to screw with her however. Whether it's advisable or not is up to judgment on an individual basis.

You can use her as a carry, sure. The fact that she was intended to be a tank shows that she's flawed, imo.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Riot tried to make a tank but failed and now we have this... half tank, half carry. Vladimir is clearly a mage, I don't consider the fact he's tagged as a tank to mean anything other than "i have a lot of hp".

I normally prefer 1 dorans at most because survivability is what the key is in LoL. Even the MR part of merc treads ( can't remember name).
Vladmir is a mage because the fact that only spell that seems tank like is pool. The only reason he has high health is his passive and the fact that tides of blood provides great damage boost to spells.
Going to be picking up on a New hero to my collection either rammus, leblanc trundle or sonia.

AP Sion is somewhat wasted because you lose potential in your ultimate because you focus on shield rather than points in enrage.

Frequent 1:1 AP ratio bursts are nothing to laugh at. Just ask every other person that's been on the receiving end of AP Sions and Anivias.

Also by that logic you'd mind as well say several other champions are losing potential. DPS Sions don't live very long for obvious reasons.
