Bleh, eagle Pokemon could have easily been Dark/Flying or Fighting/Flying. ESPECIALLY FIGHTING/FLYING. It still looks freaking awesome for a bird Pokemon. Here's hoping it evolves into something even more badass (and changes its typing). Also hoping it appears somewhat early in the game, because I'm really not interested in that pigeon anymore...

So the new bat is Psychic/Flying. I get the feeling that it's going to take over Zubat's position as the series goddamn bat. Also interested in the Larvitar ripoff's typing. I'm thinking he's going to be Dark/Ground or Dark/Grass.

3-on-3 battles are interesting...

3 vs 3 battles doesn't seem all that overpowering now.

Targeting System (3v3 battles)

"The targetting of the Triple Battles is determined solely by the position in the battlefield. The Pokémon in the middle has the ability to damage all the Pokémon on the field. However, the Pokémon to the sides can only target the Pokémon directly opposite and the ones in the middle. This will make strategy even more interesting. You have the ability to Move the Pokémon around during battle, but this function uses your turn and so will keep you vulnerable to attacks. In addition to that, Pokémon in the middle will do more damage to all the other Pokémon when using an attack that damages all its foes than a Pokémon to the side."

Professor Araragi leaves you, Cheren (the black-haired boy), and Belle (the blond girl) each a present and tells you to share it with them (they are your childhood friends). This is when you pick your starter. Sometimes you'll battle your friends during your adventure. Belle is spontaneous and one of your two rivals. She also has a strong side to her that shows sometimes, such as when she goes out on her adventure against her father's wishes. During your adventure she will have times where she will be unreliable as well, but she will grow as the story progresses. Cheren is very intelligent. He's extremely trustworthy and will give you advice throughout your journey. His goal is to be a champion.

When you pick your starter, the other two go to your two rivals Cheren and Belle. All three of you start your journey together at the same time, just like Ash, Gary, and the other Pallet Town Pokemon Trainers in the show and the three Gold and Silver trainers in the Legend of Raikou special.
