Training Reference Guide for Pirates [v2]
#61
I'm just wondering where I should train. I'm asking this because I'm not the average gunslinger for my level.

Level: 50
Attack: 483 ~ 854 (with atk pot --> 545 ~ 963)
Bullets: Mighty
Base STR: 40

My equips:
61 ATK Mr. Rasfelt
15 ATK SCWG
4 ATK, 4 STR Pink Cape
Deputy Star
Oceania Cap (ZHelm on the way)
10 DEX Bathrobe
Lightning Earrings (clean) (Have 11 dex earrings for level 55)
6 speed shoes

I think you'd be best at MP3 right now. Sniping on the bottom while having another player on the top 2 platforms.

It's tough to find someone else to party with in Khaini. Sad

I'm hunting roids for about 25%/hr in Magatia.

C-2 are your best bet until at least 60. At that point you can try windraiders, or stick with C-2/MP3 if getting to lower ascent is too difficult or if you kill too fast at crossroads.

There's like no one in khaini. :[ Buddy fiel? :O

Draining at typhons actually results in me making money... But i dunno how it hurts/helps my exp per hour tho 0-o

I fall off too much to make a legit 1 hour stand at typhons, but from what i can see i still get 10% per hour at 113. If i ever stay online for that long...

Imo, i don't think it hurts much. Drain is faster than SSK, and it eliminates the delay for blast. Faster blast but weaker filler attack with no pot burn > stronger filler attack, normal speed blast, and really high pot costs. Big Grin

Himes are better than typhons, apparently, but i haven't tested them myself yet.

I've been averaging 25% an hour at the Golem Mini Dungeon, using Invisible shot. If you stand on the ledges in my level up screen shots, you can hit both above and below you with no touch damage. 1 point of grenade helps gather far away mobs. I've been there using warrior elixers with a slightly lower damage range than you (930 or so max). I only have a 6 attk 2dex blue work glove, but I'm planning on getting an 11-12 attk glove to share between my DrK and my Slinger. Clean earrings as well, haven't had any luck with 70%s from himes lately. Lv 85 will be 10 dex earrings.

A good place for level 20-30 Pirates (Slingers especially) is the Sand Rat minidungeon in Magatia. You can snipe the top, although you might have some trouble on the bottom if you don't have some jump equips.

Ah... Khaini... well, at least you don't have KSers there like Scania does. Frown

You can also try Golem Mini Dungeon like MasPan has suggested. It's a great place for Gunslingers IMO. Some just choose not to train there though and go to MP3 or C-2 instead.

Could I ask what level you are now?

Lv 54. I started there at 51 without using warrior elixers. I used some from 53-54 to see how much of an impact they had, and my exp improved by about 2-3% an hour. The closer you are to 55 or 59 the less your damage is cut by the level difference as well. Cold Eyes and Zombie Lupins are nice exp too, but a LOT more frantic training. Lots of jumping and recoiling involved. If you meant Fiel, probably 50-52

Oh! Yes, your % will gain a little more as you level because you will be able to kill the Stone Golems quicker before they buff their Defense up. I went to the Mini Dungeon yesterday for double EXP and it felt like I'm gaining the same amount of %/hour while I'm at Slimys. Talking about Slimys, I think if you get bored of Mini Dungeon or MP3, you can solo Slimys around your 6x. You get hit more, but I guess it's fun once you get used to the map.

By the way, if any of you guys have Double EXP and has the chance to go to Windraiders - DO IT. At Level 68, I gained about 40%/hour (maybe 45%/hour) if I didn't keep on getting ksed or falling down and having to walk back to the map.

If you guys are wondering what my equips were and what I was using at Windraiders, here you go:

15/14/15/15 Zakum Helm
5/5/5/5 Silver Deputy Star
10 Attack WG
73/2/10 Burning Hell
6/1 Black Strap Shoes
3/4 Dex PAC
16 Dex Sauna
Clean Leaf Earrings
12 Attack Pot
20 Avoid Pot

For Leprechauns, I find it to be easier to train on at Creeping Evil although getting there sometimes is suicide. Why would Swamp Bog be a better place? You have to go up and down two platforms and you also hit a Jr. Wraith once in a while which slows down your Leprechaun killing.

at 112 I make about 20% an hour at himes; so yeah, it's much better, It's a lot of pot waste though... but if you wanna be cheap, you can always train with "dragon dancing" exept you use blast instead of dragon strike.... works for me but I feel slow so I just go berserk on the himes and spam blast.

Also for typhons... what do you mean with draining them? I remember that when I trained there (90-104) I'd just drain twice to heal full when I had low hp and then I could pretty much kill them fast with the old ssk+blast.

I think tornado corridor might be one of the best training spots for a 7x Outlaw. I'm getting 1%/2 mins there.

Wouldn't you have to go a longer way to get to Tornado Corridor? Also, by looking at a picture of it, there's quite a lot of climbing around to kill Windraiders and the spawn doesn't seem so great.

However, I would still suggest Lower Ascent for all of the 7x-8x-early 9x Outlaws.

That was written in version one. I personally like Creeping Evil too. I'll add Creeping Evil later.
