Was able to get to 21 and advance to Highlander. Pretty good start. Can definitely tell they adjusted the bosses, and added some new ones, from the first beta test.
Also the addition of a bazillion more channels helps immensely.

As for servers, it seems majority of the fansites are going Gabija, with Laima being the secondary server. Pretty sure that means I ain't touching Gabija.
Weird, I heard that and decided I would go with Gabija, figured if the beta is going for a month I want a nice server with a more together community (in a way I guess).
Waiting for my friend to start my swordsman so I made an archer, got to level 10 so far since I have homework to do, game ran rather smooth (with only one lag spike in an hour) and its really nice looking. Interested to see how many characters I can make in this month.

Servers are extremely unstable today it seems. They were somewhat fine earlier, but it's been getting progressively worse. Hopefully they'll be able to fix them, especially with all the login issues for a lot of people.

[COLOR="#0000FF"]The way I see it, less people = more exp and drops for me; however, I don't know how the party exp/drops work in this game.
And yea, I quit for now since I couldn't even get dialogue due to lag.
Hit 26 on archer, with job level like 8 on second circle.
I want some aoe moves, but the arrow brap brap brap skill feels too good to not max.

It got to the point where I couldn't even repair my gear at all. Can't even progress unless I want to go through with near broken gear.
Least for me, once I entered the level 30 area the servers went to complete pomegranate.

I was wondering what was up or if it was just me bummed me out a bit wasn't able to grind during lecture breaks .
Thoughts:
Got to around level 35 before servers went to pomegranate, so far the first warrior skill "Pierce" seems practically useless (except pierce weak enemies if that exists) as it is clunkier than normal attacks and takes SP, gung ho seems solid and concentration is meh. Wasn't able to put more than one point in the shield smash so can't say much about it.
I advanced to highlander for second job, the crater smash skill or whatever its call is a boss destroyer and still 1 hits mobs at my level, the other attacking skill seems strong as well though have not put many points in it. Third skill haven't tried yet (looks terrible) and the block has good synergy with pierce first job skill (actually makes it good), however it doesn't block a lot of things (AoE and DoT it seems like).
I'm enjoying how much stuff is kind of hidden, bosses, quests, and some treasure chests that need keys. Seeing as how I'm having trouble getting 100% completion on every map leads me to believe there are some more stuff I haven't found.

Seems another server is opening up for Latin America players. Didn't expect that many people to be playing.

:\ I'm finding it difficult to find information on game mechanics and character building guides. I really don't know much about this game and I don't want to start off making a borked character like I did with MS. I guess since this is Beta, it wouldn't hurt to just experiment, but does anyone know of any sites with decent guides?

ToSBase is pretty decent. They have skill builds, but not much into the "stat allocation" department.

The potion seller npc in the main town also sells stat and skill resets, so just do your own thing. You can get more of the currency to buy the resets by talking to the lady with the wings as her map icon.

To expand on what Dre said you get coins when you advance your journal thing, finding new places mobs items etc.
Also tip to people for weapons, its cheaper to buy a weapon that is +5 than actually make one yourself!

I can't believe I missed the beta registration period. Again.
...I'm pretty sure I've registered before though. If I'm not mistaken, then my luck is simply terrible.

Argh, I don't know what nice things I can say about the game besides the nice character customization options at the beginning.
From "Corrupted" IPF files to weird FPS drops (My computer is beyond capable of running this and I get like 90 FPS without VSync and somehow it dips to 30 from time to time), those issues really have ruined my expections of the game even for a Beta (2nd wave!).
Does anyone else experience these weird FPS drops :/?

Yea, I have pretty bad fps as well. I stopped for now because the grind vs how much sp you get is kinda low, and I'm sure it'll be more fun when my friends can join in. Don't want to kill the experience before official launch.

The terrible lag made me stop playing for the time being. It's rather annoying doing several quests and then lagging out cause the servers decided to have a small hiccup.

couple of questions, how resource-intensive is the game, and is there any place out there with formulas? most of what i could find was just skills and very broad explanations.

I experienced huge FPS drops and have resolved it in two ways:
1) between the first CBT and this CBT, my nvidia graphics card was not being used when tree of savior was running. It took me a while to realize this, and once I did it helped a lot when I forced it on.
2) If you use a dual monitor set up or something like me where you have an HDMI cable out of a laptop in to a monitor, it for whatever reason causes poor FPS
