R.I.P Metroid. If there were a real Galactic Federation game, it should be a horrifying wartime scenario between the Galactic Federation and Mother Brain's forces, not some b-rated 3DS shovelware with the Metroid logo slapped on it.

Triforce Heroes looks interesting. I was indeed expecting a new Four Swords game eventually.


The rest of the direct was just... meh. It was pretty much everything we were already expecting. Granted, this is a developer's conference, technically, but word on more of the bigger games coming out soon, but not fully ready for release would have been nice (I'd really like to learn more of Zelda).

Just Cause 3 looks good.

The Mario Luigi RPG could be alright though…

I would be really interested in the Tennis game if it is revealed to bring back the RPG mode but I have zero hope of that happening so whatever.

Hey at least there is a cool 8 Bit Mario Amiibo that you won’t be able to buy.

I just went absolutely nuts on that KH3 gameplay.

Nintendo's presentation was attrocious, and was very dull(not entirely). I do like the paper jam game and such, but what they did to metroid is ugh. SE had an okayish conference, professional KH troll director with the ff7 and KH mobile game. this time around though I felt the western titles had more to offer than he eastern ones.

They better bring back the original composers for the new Nier game, the soundtrack was absolutely phenomenal.

I know we had heard about it before, but oh gosh, Star Ocean V looks amazing. I'm so happy to have that series back.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that Xenoblade Cross finally got a western release date of December 4th.

Kingdom Hearts "Key" was expected. There was a lot of talk / rumor going around that it would finally show its head to the western audience.
The gameplay footage of KH3 really surprised me cause they were so sure there was going to be nothing on the game this E3. Supposedly there was a leaked release date of Winter 2016 for the game as well. There's a video circulating around that keeps getting taken down on YT only to be brought back up.

Other than Sony's conference, this year's E3 royally sucked IMO.

I'm curious as to what the general thought of southperry is regarding E3.

However, I think, both Microsoft and Sony really impressed me. Backwards Compatability, FF7, Rarereplay, and many franchises I like are coming soon.

most of SP primarily have nintendo stuff(from what I assume) then everything else follows it. As a western gamer, there were quite a handful of options and choices, as an eastern gamer, most of the titles were for the most part Square Enix.

despite my love for Rareware games, its nice and all, targeted to alot of nostalgic gamers. To be honest, this E3 primarily is fueled by nostalgia or is a sequel that has nostalgia built into it and only a select few New IP's are interesting, which IMO is the biggest thing that makes E3 more meh this year.

Another factor is thunder stealing. I felt that Yooka Laylee being a month in advance has taken alot of what rare is doing and making the older titles less of an interest as more epopel are now interested in the latformer game they have been wanting for a long time. The same can be said with igarashi's Bloodstained, which set a return to metroidvania that was immensely crowdfunded, only for e3 to completely let down metroid fans all over the world with a game that really shouldn't have metroid in its title.

Sony's E3 was on average the best so far followed by the rest. just overall on average this year wasn't that great of a year.

For me this was more of a 3rd party E3 this year. I think they had the better games on show by far. Other than say Uncharted 4 I can't really think of a first party game that caught my eye.

So that's pretty good news for me since I can basically buy them all on PC and not miss out.

Since i (personally) pretty much don't care about Sony i actually think this year's E3 was all around underwhelming. Worst E3 in quite a while imoimo.
The interesting things were almost all minor 3rd party things or stuff we already knew about for either years or months.

Seriously. This is basically an insult to Metroid fans. They have known since at least last E3 that we really, really, really, really want a new Metroid game, and they kick us in the pineappleing balls with this nonsense. In a time where Nintendo needs to get its pomegranate together and pull out some games worth buying, this is really just a huge mistake.

I also heard from some fellow team members on Dragon Quest X that Square Enix really glossed over Dragon Quest again this year something fierce. They mentioned Dragon Quest Heroes for about 5 seconds, showed a tiny trailer, and then moved on as if it didn't exist. This is after they claimed that they see a bright future for Dragon Quest in the West. How, when you don't put any focus what so ever on the franchise? I'm happy I'm starting to learn how to play the games in Japanese, because I really don't see many future English releases of the franchise at this rate, I really don't.
