KMS Winter Update
#61
So when should we expect the second part to be released in KMST? or is it going directly into KMS due to holidays?

Judging by 2 previous patches it's 1 week before the real server update. I want it much earlier though. :I

But the server update is even this year? we are 8 days away from 2015 and there's no sign of part II in sight. Ever since Shinning star KMS has been lacking in their half-year updates.

Basically, 16th Jan seems to be the day. We need a small teaser to keep the hype flowing. Frown

Same for me. The only interesting thing is the second part with 200+ area and perhaps more.

I really want the link skill system to be revamped. Either making them sort like character card system that we have now so its easier to organize or just make them affect all the character we have. I would love to fund more than one job but knowing that I can't play to their best potential really discourages me.

Hoping the 2nd patch coming soon have something worth to stay for.

Link Skill management definitely needs to be improved. Right now, it's a royal pain in the arse to move link skills around. If they still want to keep it one character per link skill per instance, at the very least make it so we don't have to login to all 12+ characters to modify them.

Another subject I'd like to see them improve on are Hyper Skill, Stat ones at the very least. The only ones I even find crucial are STR/DEX/INT/LUK/CRate/%MHP/DF respectively to each class. Critical Rate while probably necessary for most, is replaceable for some. Value of these Hypers feel pretty inferior to how they do in other games.

 Spoiler
New ones I'd like to see on the other hand:

5-10% Status Ailment Resistance (MAYBE, since most jobs can already achieve about 70-85% if not more with 5x Cygnus and max Willpower?).

10%(?) Min Max Critical Damage.

HP & MP Regen (either flat or % at a decent amount) - sadly, this is generally more valued in situations where you have potion cooldowns.

On top of that, raise the 12 link skill limit. It's fucking stupid.

PeePeeAyeDeeKay Wrote:Range increase on Skill Hypers - I honestly don't think anyone even gets these except for GMS Lumi (+200 range Reflection) and I think Corsair(+100 range Rapid Fire?).

It kinda depends on the skill, I think. I know that the range increase for Teleport is a really nice one to have.

Well yeah, the teleport one is fine, I actually like that one myself. It's the attack skill +40/50 range ones that need to be either improved or replace.

Mmm.. Defense is still useful... only on Hayatos since it gives 2.5% total damage for free. And they at that level hardly reached the 9999 def (49% total damage extra)

I am wondering if the 15% MP is transformed into HP for Kannas....

About the rest I fully agree with you... Accuraccy is useless now.

Giving some Status Resistance is Great...
And how about giving 5% ADITIVE Ignore Monster Defense?

And now about Link Skills... it's time that Aran and Evan gives some love on them and gets one once at all!

Early, like 5 months earlier, Nexon released a report. In the report detailed their plans for the rest of 2014. It specifically said, no Tier 1 Update (Big Bang, Chaos, etc...) so that's why. So you shouldn't expect much. I personally think their taking time to work on 5th job and are just giving us updates so they don't look dead.

I think link skills should just be shared on the whole account.

But I have a thought... Skill limit should remain... but with a twist. Let's say, for balance, that it'd be silly to have a lv 10 character with ALL link skills on him. Ok, fair enough. But what about this:
All link skills are now on a server shared pool, but you place them in the order you want. But not all characters have access to it right away. The first link skill is only active at lv 10, the second at lv 20, the third at lv 30... and so on. It would work out perfectly for mains, since it'd be your highest level character anyway, while you still have a point for leveling, because the more you level your character, the more link skills are ready to use! And with newer ones added, it's incentive to level past your limits if you still don't have the needed level... With a chance to actually get all of them on your main. And all that without logging into each character to move them around.

Balanced. Simple. Useful. Comfortable.

There's no doubt that "Heaven"/Mechnical grave is the best Grinding spot as of now, The Exp:HP ratio along with the map layouts and spawn rate/mob count is just amazing.
The maps look pretty cool too and it scales quite nicely as you level up.
Even though they look so big and wide the spawn rate and mob count along with the teleports across the map cover that up.
Overall : 10/10 best training maps would train again
I believe I got 2% in less than 4/5 mintues of killing mobs? I was mostly exploring the area so.
Now if there was a easy mode suu Rolleyes
We need more maps like this, this proves nexon still knows how to update thier game and correctly.
Also blessed nexon have added "Heaven" to Pantheon's portal.

I visioned this place having a bunch of attackers on platforms and a bishop running between platforms buffing etc, oldschool ways. It'll probably be crazy when GMS gets it.. Kanna op.

Ala spirit vikings in the old days eh? definitely sounds amazing but I also hope the falling junk keeps people from using mules in those maps.
