White Winter Sale Schedule
#61
The Schiff Wrote:Sold out in approximately 2 minutes in Bera. There was SUPER lag when you tried to purchase it.

I timed it, it was around 40 seconds. Lmao got 4 of them , would have got a 5th pack but I don't think i could level enough to use them for hp washing in time, lol.

The AP resets would have sold out regardless of the list or not. The only difference is that people are saving up and not buying the regular sale items.

/disgusts myself

That could be a possible defense of Nexon... but during the last AP reset in Broa, the AP resets took over 10 minutes to sell out. Now you see today (after the schedule has been posted) across all servers they sold out in less than a minute. Posting sale schedules definitely does help Nexon.

For one item that would have sold out normally. People are using the NX that would have gone to other items, so other sales are less.

The other items are sold out as well. Also, it doesn't matter about the actual AMOUNT of the items sold considering all items have 0 value in real life. Since Nexon makes money when the NX cards are BOUGHT from the shelves in the store, players anticipating the sale of their much wanted items rushed to the stores to buy the cards in order to buy these items, thus bringing in profit to Nexon.

One could further argue that people who missed the sale by a few seconds OVER-bought their NX (due to the fact that they cannot spend it on the AP resets they needed). Since they cannot spend it on the AP resets which are sold out, they will spend it on other items at the normal price, such as normally priced gachapon tickets, or even use it in the MTS.

Overall, the sales should be MUCH HIGHER considering people who spent the hundreds of dollars buying Nexon products probably spent ALL of their money on the cheap items, thus, left them NX-less, which means they must fill their NX-void by going to the store and buying more NX cards to REPLENISH their supply of NX.

Yeah.
If the sale sold out in seconds, that implies that many people bought NX in anticipation of the sale, and many inevitably were left out. If stock lasted 10x longer, that could mean up to (or should I say, down to) 0.1x the number of disappointed people who would've had to spend it on something else.

How typical of Nexon.

They know everyone will know when AP resets will come out.
They know everyone wants them.
When everyone purchased their NX Cards, Nexon already recieved their money.
So why not just piss everyone off and only sell ~200, when their overall population of the game is 3 million. It won't effect them in any way, so why would they care? Last year was way better. More then 3,000 If i recall.

If you cannot already tell, I'm pineappleing pissed cause RIGHT when I enter the Cash Shop I lag like pineappleing hell, enough to make my Maplestory d/c, and leave me still logging in.

And of course I can't buy anymore, cause after I'm able to log on, they are all sold out, cause Nexon gives pomegranatety quantity just like they gives us pomegranatety quality servers.

More in Pits of Hell cause it doesn't belong here.

Right there with ya. Khaini's didn't sell out in under 4 minutes. They sold out in literally one minute or less. And the lag was unbearable. I needed 8 sets and only got 3 because the CS was lagging so much, to the point where I just sat there watching the numbers drop by 20 every second while it processed that I hit the buy button roughly 50 times.

Of course 5 minutes later when I bought the single AP Resets since I still needed them, I could buy 8 in a second or so.....

I think quantity was the issue. Can't really fix server lag as easily as they could sell 3,000+ compared to 225 for Khaini. Seriously, how can you go from roughly 6,000 120+s last year to 20,000+ this year and decrease the amount of AP Reset pack sold? And before you say # of 4th jobbers =/= amount of AP Resets sold, I'm just using that as an example of the increase in consumers for the resets.

It would be true If Nexon actually cared about their costumers.

This is common sense people. They earn a lot by doing it this way.

lol Yeah it was fun watching them go down my 20+ at a time.

I was tempted to get a couple sets but I don't think I will be able to level fast enough to use them.

Increased quantity means people won't have to buy more at regular price in the future meaning less money for Nexon.

The idea of a sale is to lower the price enough to bring more buyers to the point that you get more money.

$2 profit per person for 10,000 people > $4 profit per person for 1,000 people.

But just like zhelm and HT pendant sales, as long as people keep buying, there is no point to lower prices, and in this situation, there is no point to raise quantity. Even without any ap resets on sale, they still would make money.

And in real life, when stuff is on sale, or really anything in a store, there is always a limited quantity.

Thankfully, me and everyone on my buddylist in Windia were able to get a pack. Many of my friends didn't even know that they were on sale, so they had to go and charge some NX
What sucks though, was the lag. I bought one as soon as I entered the CS, and by time the charge went through and my nx got deducted, the AP resets were sold out and I couldnt buy a second set >_<.

The idea of a sale is to earn money. People needs to buy NX before buying the AP-resets. Therefore they could have a quantity of 1 and have an insane profit by doing so.

yes, but doing that would ruin all their next sales.
