Nickelodeon just confirmed via Twitter that they will air 2 episodes a week starting july 11.

From the very beginning Nickelodeon ordered 52 episodes in total, or so I have read, so 13 episode seasons are in order.

Korra was originally pitched and green-lit as a 12 episode mini-series. After that it got extended into a 4 book 52 episode show.

Also if it really does end up being 2 episodes a week starting next week that's stupid as pineapple. That means it's going to end in 5 weeks.

So Nick can continue to air pomegranate like new SpongeBob, Sanjay and Craig, and Breadwinners.

With how they are treating korra guess I have to forget about they making a next avatar show with a earth bending avatar set in around our time. :/

I have a strong feeling that they just want Korra to end. I think that Season 2 wasn't as well received as they expected. That deus ex machina ending was just terrible in my opinion, and it probably pissed off too many people. That's probably why they're rushing through Season 3. Hoping that it's good regardless, and since they already ordered Season 4 we know that we'll get a real ending, so I don't really care how they act about it. Their loss.

As for Episodes 1-3...

I like the idea of Airbending being reawakened...but the whole Team Avatar is handling it terribly. It's no surprise that the only person they got to join them was someone who was running anyway. The idea that they can turn people from their lives straight into an Air Nomad lifestyle is just the worst thing ever. Do they seriously expect to get anyone that way? The Air Nomad life style will have to be edged back in, they can't just walk up and go, "So, who wants to be an Air Nomad and abandon everything you know and love?" Teach people how to be Airbenders and show them the Air Nomad lifestyle with no expectations, and you might get people to come(or to surrender their children like the old Air Nomad Nation did)...but to pitch it flat out is just asking to be ignored.

Hoping to see more of the spirits too. It seems like the majority of spirit changes are in only Republic City? I hope spirits become central to the story in some way.

Where did Zuko get a dragon? Wasn't it stated in TLA that the two dragons that taught Zuko true Firebending were the last two dragons? That dragon came out of no where and wasn't explained as far as I can tell.

However, that Zuko elevator scene was amazing.

Overall I liked these three episodes. It built up pretty quickly.

Loving this season so far. Metal City was awesome to see, and I really look forward to this whole Bei Fong family story, even more now that we learned that Toph had at least two children with two different guys. Getting back into the amazing fight scenes with this series. Episode 4 in particular was great to see, and another great fight, albeit a short one, in episode 5.

I too am very curious about Zuko's dragon, though. I wonder if that's explained in The Search or The Rift comic books, because if it's not, it really is out of left field, no matter how awesome it is.

I know that she liked Sokka back then but Sokka liked that one Kyoshi girl...
I'm going to hope that Sokka is a good guy and Toph married Sokka but he died somehow and then she went for someone else.... or something.

The "gem" that Zuko and Aang found when they went to the Sun Warrior civilization could actually be an egg. He does mention it feeling alive, so it's a possibility.

Can't be. Sokka is mentioned as having helped put Zahir and the other 3 in prison, which was 13 years prior to the current events. Sokka most likely got married to Suki.

Anything's possible though, given we still don't know much about Sokka/Toph/Suki/Zuko outside a few things.

Perfect example of double standard. Women can't have more than 1 child without everyone instantly thinking she's a s'lut. While it might be true since we don't know why lin is angry, there are literally so many other scenarios that it's silly to think toph would do something like this maliciously given that it's a nickelodeon show.

I mean I said the same thing with Tenzin.

We already know the circumstances with that. We knew it almost immediately and we had tenzin and lins playful relationship before that was revealed to show it wasn't a bad end. We also know he isn't that kind of character, getting all flustered when he has to address the situation and whatnot isn't the mark of a scumbag, though we only know toph from TLA and not her adult self.

It just seems really silly to say that even jokingly without knowing the story.

I think Nickelodeon may have just slightly revealed how Sokka might have died. Quite possible that Zaheer killed him during the 1st attempt to kidnap Korra?
