Hm, not really with the quests that were added in the patch. You know, in the A/B/C/D spoilers.
In the A Spoilers, >character< goes inside a Holy Relic, and has to decide for one direction, while the friend chooses the other one(?). In each one of these, you meet eather the Boy Lapis, the 'Alpha', or the Girl Lazuli, the 'Beta'. With a few quest-connections, it's possible that these may be these Children of Rhinne.

Auction Hall added
New Area
Battling against Commanders

Not to mention what will happen if all the servers combined.

More like R.I.P when Phantom came out.

Slightly better than I expected, If only for the Adventurer revamps, Auction house and profession revamp. which all sound like good things.

A super server merge and 100-man boss fights are the two stupidest things they've ever thought up.

RA is bad enough with the ridiculous layering and horrid animation overlapping that goes on, how do they possibly expect a 100-man boss to possibly be viewable and manageable?

Everything in one giant server better mean there's going to be 200-300 channels, because otherwise the game will be horrid and impossible to play in.

A complete Adventurer revamp is certainly necessary, but more classes are not. If this info about a new class in the data is true...they need to stop with that pomegranate, they really really do.

Having every boss revamped might not be a bad idea, as long as they do it right this time. Multiplying everything's HP by 10 and everything's EXP by 0.1 was the WORST possible "easy revamp" you could ever do.

New Area better be 180+ content or I will be very, very disappointed and probably immediately lose what little interest I have.

"Free Class" System....what...I'm not sure how to respond to this yet. Need more info.

Overall most of this was expected, although some of it necessary. So far I'm not hyped, and at the current amount of information we have I don't have any plans to return to the game unless they revamp leveling and grinding to be less horribly boring.

PvP you say?!?!?!

ALL OF MY WANT Mad

Edit:

:f6:

Wait... what? Confused here. I have the option to fight monsters, not players? Isn't that just... grinding?

There were actually quite a few unexpected things in here. It seems NexonKR is getting very ambitious. I'm hoping the 1v100 boss fights and server merge will accompany some drastically needed architecture upgrades... or it will completely destroy the game. It's about a 50-50 chance judging on past experience.

I'm definitely looking forward to an Adventurer story line.

I really hope the new class isn't just another Warrior or Mage... they've been done to death already. We're long overdue for a new Archer...

I'm shocked that we're finally getting an Auction House. Hopefully it will make our merching lives infinitely easier.

I'll be reserving judgment about the next round of revamps until I see them... Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised by more than the usual % increase touch ups.

I'm going to hype this up crazily for myself for the next few hours, before calming down and returning to my skeptical mood.

A few hours of indulging in an actually-balanced-maplestory-fantasy would be good for my overall mood, as long as I don't drag it.

Sorry I could've been more clearer on that part. The new PvP mode allows a player to control a boss monsters. So I could be a Magnus and I can use his skills against other normal players in PvP.

Here is the video of the announcement minus animated video and V teaser:

Oh so you can control a boss, yeah that sounds like it could be pretty fun.

It looks like there will sure be some interesting KMST patches coming up.

Just please get the revamps over with quick and don't drag them out. Total adventurer revamps will probably be a mixed bag, like the pirate/thief revamps… I'm apprehensive about those.

The other new content sure sounds interesting but it all comes down to how it plays or in the case of the Auction house etc how it is implemented. So I'm not getting crazy excited yet.

I've seen a few videos of GMS RA bosses. If the layering problem you are referring to is Pierre's fire trail and Vellum's poison area, KMS doesn't have that problem.

My thoughts:

New PvP Mode - Going off of the image alone, it looks as though one player will be controlling the boss monster, and the other player controls his own character to face said boss. Where am I getting this from? Look at the Blue/Red(?) icons, they both have a "player" behind a monitor in them.

Free Class System - I'm gonna hate having this happen for real, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that they're gonna allow (Non-DB/CS) Adventurers to advance to any 3rd/4th/5th Job Adventurer class within your type (i.e. Warrior/Mage/Archer/Thief/Pirate) regardless of your current class. In other words, you could advance to Spearman to pick up Hyper Body, then to Crusader to pick up Combo Attack, then hop over to Paladin if you really want to for some reason. Of course, they're probably gonna change nearly all of the skills, so this is just an example.

An alternative I would very much prefer is adding skill trees for each class instead. Each skill tree represents a different role for the class, with too little SP to max all the skills so players will have to choose between them. E.g. Paladins would have to decide whether to focus more on tanking, or sacrifice some defensive capabilities for greater attack power.

Either way, it allows for a greater degree of character customisation. Especially that first one.

World Alliance - I doubt Nexon's crazy enough to merge all the worlds together; it'll simply fry their servers. My guess is that it's just a "Change Character" option that allows you to switch over to any character you have on that account regardless of the world they're on, without having to logout.

No, I'm referring to the fact that you need to watch everything they do, however every single animation appears above them, so you can't even see them most of the time.

While we're at it, any guesses what job will the "children of god" be?
Reply

I don't think the job will be "the children of god" but a protector or something because in the quest he is the one liberating them.

And lol Adventurers total Revamp, well I'll not complain about Aran not getting one because they are testing Aran Hypers and 5th job is coming.
The Free class System is likely to be the elimination of class creation restriction.
The world merge and 1v100 raids doesn't really appeal to me, we can barely kill some Chaos RA bosses, and the lag of god the lag...
The auction system is weird, will it require NX? If so they should make shops free or at least a version of it.

Sounds like a good solution for the radical change from Dragon Knight to Dark Knight.

True. But i think the new auction system will replace the outdated MTS.

I've got this feeling that this will be something they'll be doing all year long for some reason.

How long do you think it will be before the "Summer" update? I wonder if they'll have time to finish the Cygnus Knight revamps before then.

If not then it's another case of Nexon leaving something unfinished. 3/5 Cygnus revamped is good, but please just finish them already so that nothing gets left behind in the wake of this "amazing" update.
