A hacker came on to my channel and tried to vac my selkies. So I chased him all the way to Boat Quay town for the lulz, and reported him.

Also, can hackers sniff out your password and pin without installing a keylogger on your computer?

They would have to utilize some form of social engineering (Impersonation a Zak helm selling group, various forms of phising) to get that info otherwise.

The only time where I think someone could have gotten that info without keyloggers or social engineering is when hackers were able to exploit something on the MapleSEA ranking pages to get account information, but I don't think anyone has tried to do that for Global MS yet, let alone that we don't know if the Global MS rankings can be exploited in the same matter as SEA's.

They do seem to be using the map boundaries vac (at least some of them) which is a pretty old one.

Not sure if it's the same method as before though, I heard it's a wz edit.

I remember the first big hacker outbreak. It got so bad, people actually boycotted NX. It got mega-patched, but still, it was huge. I remember seeing 2 hackers on a channel when i went by copper drakes on my way to red drakes.

What would happen if REAL hackers came to Maple? None of this Power Guard, vac hac, ac or godmode $hit, but making Horntail look like Chelsea Clinton, gunslinger guns like Magnums, and putting a condom on top of Cody's head.

Those are repackers, and I don't think you can do that without serious packet edits, and those get you caught fairly easily.

Yea. Doing something that drastic would be noticeable, and Nexon would have the game down within 5 minutes probably. :/

What about those who fly around the map?
I have seen them in Wisdon forest (the map that leads to bottom portal in Ellinia) while I was training my pirate before. You can't report them, because when you try, it says.... "Can not find user"

Yea today I seen a girl hacking with that in combo with the "heal everthing hack" I'll call it... lets hope nexon patches them all this patch...

The main place I see these "heal" hackers is in Creeping Evil, since the primary monster there is the Lep. What's really funny is when I'm there doing HH runs and one of them obviously doesn't have "godmode" or it's equivalent on, and they glitch-teleport right on top of him. Every once and a while you'll see people doing that teleport thing in towns too. Not entirely sure why though. I remember using the /find command on this one guy just to see what he was doing. He was literally changing channels every half a second. I couldn't even /find him fast enough to keep up with him channel by channel. o_O

Try training at anego with hackers. No way to kill them with their godmode. And the other day, there was this 16x dk who came in and was pinning the thing with some random ass hack I've never seen before. All he did was walk towards it and the anego would KB any way he was walking towards and doing damage at the same time. The damage is tremendously high too.. KSed me (16x) and my friend 190... both of us BMs.

funny thing is some ppl without hacks are getting auto bans to stay at same map of a hacker use, due this i cant go himes, ws, kents (manon map) because i am afraid to get ban too, GG Nexon

How bad is this outbreak, by the way? As bad as back in v0.34+, with all the dEMI hackers, and 0.whatever, during that PG hack outbreak? (Heh, hackers are starting to sound like diseases. OUTBREAK!)

Pretty much as soon as pirates came out. I see lots of Brawlers hacking/botting at STD.

Saw what appears to be a new hack (to me and those I discussed it with anyway) at WS today - a DK was warping from place to place on the map, killing spawns as he went O.o Didnt take SS, because really, what would that prove? Oh look, he's in 1 spot. Oh, a SS of a diff spot...

What about those who fly around the map?

If they are botting, you can try this. I use it to report jump quest botters when I come across some and I'm really bored.

Right-click and hit Report the first time you see them, and pick your option. By that time they will be gone out of range, so do not press OK. Just sit there until you see them again, and then click OK. You have to be quick, but usually this works.

I saw that at WS, too. I think there is some trainer out now that's easy to program, or else someone has released scripts for certain maps. Using it, your character can walk around, attack things if they are in range yet ignore things that aren't, climb ladders, use teleports, change channels, and more.

Scanian hackers must be slow, about 1/3 of the channels at Wolf spiders in khaini are taken by hackers during peak hours, and they keep teleporting making them a pain to report (not that it does anything)

In Bera 16 of 19 channels at Wolf Spiders had one and sometimes 2 hackers in them the other day.

I cant believe that Nexon allows things to get soooo bad before they get off their backside and say they will do something(then actually doing something is another matter)...I'm still waiting for NxJoeW to keep his oh so lofty promise he made about 2 years ago...

What if nexon has a deal with some of those Meso Seller companies. They wont ban any of their hackers or patch a hack until a certain date and they receive X% of the gains. lolz

I was training during a random 30 minute 2x EXP event in Windia and all of a sudden 4-5 hackers start looking for maps. Vacuumed my mobs a few times, they ended up killing an ally of mine. I love you hackers! F5

@Above: It'd be more profitable to ban them and encourage golden meso bag sales.
