I have no idea what that refers to but probably.

Davidkun Wrote:You calm down right now. I don't get paid again until Friday, like, this coming Friday! I may only lurk and RARELY post, but I do love Southperry!

It's also worth noting many people get paid on the 15th, so Thursday, Friday and Saturday are likely when we'll get the most orders, for everyone else worrying.

For anyone who's just avoiding buying because they're afraid we won't make it; You're contributing to not making it and scaring people off because if everyone waits no one will ever go. Just do it if you're going to do it.

I'm wondering if Kickstarter was considered as an option for executing this, seeing as how the whole "we only go through with this if we meet goal X" basically defines Kickstarter. I'm sure there are various issues associated with using Kickstarter (for one, it doesn't support Paypal) though...

Kickstarter is not even remotely close to the right model for purchasing specific items at a specific price. I think we're explicitly forbidden by their TOS too; "Projects using Kickstarter simply to sell existing inventory"

It's meant to allow people to donate as much as they want towards a single specific goal.
Not to mention they take 5% off what is raised. ( If your project is successfully funded, Kickstarter will apply a 5% fee to the funds raised, and Amazon will apply credit card processing fees (between 3-5%). If funding isn't successful, there are no fees. )

You basically latched on to one aspect of how they work and disregarded everything important.

We could theoretically scrap the whole thing, throw up a kick starter on the premise of creating inventory and reward everyone who pays more than X with a shirt, but we don't have a hard target to declare for and it'd be adding yet another administrative layer for me to wade through trying to match contributor to product outside of the framework of the donation app.

Look at all those wrinkles and creases. @Loose; stop being such a slob and iron it before trying to model it@@@

Edit: That was the most homosexual thing I've ever said on southperry.

You should tell everyone your impressions of it in regards to sizing, style, quality and obviously cuteness factor.

Size: It's a bit too big, but of course, that's because it's XL and I'm normally an M. But it's wearable.

Style: The details are really good, the chinchilla looks almost life like. If you look closely at one of the chinchilla's eyes, you can see Eos.

Quality: I don't think the image is ever going to fade, looks and feels like it'll last for centuries.

Obviously cuteness factor: I'll rate that later, after I go to a public place. I'll be measuring this in amount of ladies the shirt attracts.

Soft: Somewhere between caressing a babies behind and hugging a 6 week old puppy.
