5th job
#61
Toastyc12 Wrote:It'd be nice to see a "fifth job" as a "supplement", so to speak. You still level fourth job skills normally, 100-200.
5th job skills would be something to enhance your current 4th job, either upgraded through a quest, or by having a separate SP pool that received 3 points per level in addition to your 4th job SP pool.

This so much.

Some kind of synergy system wouldn't be a bad idea either, where I'm thinking of something like D2 maybe. The current passive effects that increase previous skills' damage isn't good enough I feel... we want more options and flexibility for Explorers, not using a single skill (Explorers I say again, not comparing to classes like Aran).

give me a better hurricane and dragon pulse, i'm all set here LOL
i also just noticed the archer revamp from a while back made our link skills passive which is pretty nice, though i would like some of the older summons (and draco) to be redesigned to fit in with newer sprites

Im kinda hoping 5th job lets you choose a specialization. Like a few branches, ie. Focus on Fire or Ice w/e.

You guys are just -_-.
Why would you have to max every 4th job skill in order to have a 5th job.

You obviously shouldn't be allowed to max them all.

150 seems fine, 50 levels = 153 SP which is good. Now you can't, and shouldn't, be able to max everything.

So, by the suggestions in the last page, like the pre-BB quests that got you your skills?

Yeah there have been a few,
I'm not sure how many people it took, but Galicia/Culverin/Fleta/Medere merged worlds beat it with less than two parties I think.
And there was also that 12man Scanian run that Koreans aired on afreeca.
So yeah it's already been beaten Heart

OT: Who knows, maybe nexon decided to give everyone enough sp to max out all 4th job skills o-o
But a part of me wants some new mobbing skill for my pally and a decent -1v1 for drk<3
If they're bringing in 5th, they better do a good job on the animation though >:o

No, we don't need 5th job, because all it would be is...

Jobs with no rush? Get Rush
Jobs with no 90%+ mastery? Get such mastery
Jobs with no final attack? Get final attack
Jobs with no party buff? get party buff
Marksmen get hurricane
Nightlords get quintuple throw
Everyone gets damage boosts.

And so, it would bring all jobs even closer to be just the same with different looks. It would take changing the game's structure and mechanics to make possible adding skills that are actually original and can enhance the jobs training without making them even more generic, like adding dodgin, blocking, aiming, countering and such.

Just 4th job is fine. If anything, we need class merging.

Not every class has an equal SP system. Some miss out with this.

That's unfortunate.
I'm sure they can pick between an OP 5th job and some 4th job buff that adds 1k to there range.

If they DO do it, expect a lot of skills with lower modifiers but more hits, so it takes more cubing to do 999999, and thus, lots and lots of cubing in order to DPS down the Black Mage within the time limit.

Im expecting more passive skills and buffs from 5th job, plus maybe 1 attack skill.

This is based off of the new KMST, in which 4th job is now at lvl 100.

I really think there must be a 5th job. There's no way in hell they'd leave 4th job to be 100 levels long. I know Nexon's logic has never made a whole lot of sense in the past, but leaving it like this is just ridiculous.

Think like nexon for just a second.
Nexon always talks about "high lvl contect" but that always refers to like lvl 100s and 90s and stuff. So maybe they lowered the job levels so the more average players can experience this content and just not suck. and besides most classes are wayy to incomplete until 4th job, paladins, Xbow, and bowmaster are just to name a few. basically most any adventure.

Think..like nexon? I'll sooner end up dead than be able to reach that low via brick face smashing. Sad

But yes this is likely the reason, if you haven't noticed the last two years they have accelerated the process to get the fun out of a job rather than working hard to get it. I honestly feel like that the game is essentially stepping on gravel until 140 where you start feeling the ground become flat and comfortable to walk in.

In my perspective the reason they think their game isn't holding players like it used to, is that not enough are hitting the end fast enough. The entire problem is, they are hitting it too fast, and conquering WAY to fast. So by nexon's logic they are trying to make them hit the end faster. At the same time, if this 5th job becomes a reality, it could break a lot of limitations and bring a whole new bossing experience, if they do it right. But I feel like they are too focused on shallow things and because they don't play their own game, don't realize that no matter how many times you change the glitter, you get the same experience. You can drive a different car to work everyday, but that goddamn bush that block's your left turn will ALWAYS be there.

Wonder how many classes will get a hurricane-esque skill if we do get a 5th job. Predicting Storm of Knives for Shadowers. Rolleyes

Actually your right. The game is streamlining until like 140 or so. well maybe 130. but I disagree that is the full reason, cooped with making a bunch of characters. I think the problem is there isnt enough to explore. Well there is but the lvls for them are set during the "blaze past these lvls" Phase. so they remain untouched. And honestly I don't have a problem with blazing past a couple of levels. because some characters are just incomplete and stupid to play with at lower levels.

When I remember "the good old times" I remember alot of things. but the times that always reoccur were exploration based or fear. For me in maple, Grinding was just a filler to allow access to more exploration and fear. Exploration is self explainatory but fear isnt so much.
When I say fear I mean a couple of things.
1) Like the fear when you are exploring and your ACTUALLY SCARED of entering the next portal because you could die. so you pot up and close your eyes and hope for the best.
2) Fear when bossing. Think of the times of Big Foot pre-BB. I remember going there and being scared shytless until I got to the jumpquest. when you see the boss you just screem and and as fast as you can. And also with Anego and when her slap did like 15k. I remeber to start maxing achillies expecially for her and then have to make sure she was threaten 100% of the time too. and she still did like 9.5k~10k slaps.

this were some of my favorative times with the game itself. And when I had friends doing it with me it was even better. If they could re-add stuff to instill fear while keeping the lvl progress the same. That would be the best.
