I wonder if you just need to do those quests for it to count as an S Card.

Like I said, Max said Cygnus only go to Rank A and no one's been able to confirm or deny it yet, so I'm sticking by it that Cygnus can only go up to Rank A due to lack of "Official 4th job".

I dunno. You get 5AP 3SP and a new book of skills, you get the job advance animation... it's just empty and there's no leveling up.

Once this comes to JMS I can confirm/deny it, since my Cygnus had to finish all that crap to do Cygnus Akyrum.

Might be another two months before we get it though =/

But yeah, when you finish it you get 5 AP and 3 SP, but (at least in Union) you have nothing to use the SP on, since you have exactly enough SP to max everything in 3rd job, so you just have to stuff it in some random 2nd job skill.

It's a limitation placed on purpose by Nexon, else it would be too easy to get an S ranked card.

It was stated clearly in KMS patch notes when this hits KMS, A rank is the maximum a KoC can get.

I'm not exactly sure how Cygnus has a significantly easier time than other characters on getting S, but...uh...okay. Kinda dumb, considering you still spent the time to work on it, and plenty of other characters are WAY easier to get to 120. It took me like a week to get 100-120 on my Cygnus, and 2 days on my Evan, and it wasn't due to investing more time into my Evan. Whatever, just Nexon being Nexon.

Still, it could be changed for JMS/GMS. They never do anything exactly the same as KMS.

Eh, maybe for JMS, but GMS does near perfect copypastas. One of the few exceptions being the Party Play Zone for LHC and SH.

Whenever I mention I have a few Lv 120+ Characters they already call me a no-life.
Saying I actually have 10. (And working on 5 more right now wich are already getting close).
They just look at me and laugh hard. Saying I need to get out and have a life.

and i'm jelly of your 10 120+ chars, since i have to go make some now QQ i hate training so bad, especially when it's classes i dislike (pretty much anything but warriors.)

blergh, gonna go and train myself a hero from 0->120, a mech from 0->120 (BLEEERGH), and finish my bam from 8x->120 (meh)

this should give me these sets:
DrK+Pally+Hero
Demon Slayer+Mech+Bam

apart from the bonus each of these give, i get 20 all stats, 1400 HP, 6 attack, 6% boss damage, and that weird 10% hp to damage thing, which at least will be kinda helpful to my dark knight i guess? 7k isn't that much extra damage, but oh well.

in case BaM doesn't absorb 1/1's, i'll just switch to a triple pirate set for the 8% ignore

Hmmm what you just said gave me a little more insight on what I might do myself. I might max out my slots soon by buying more
character slots and get a buccaneer for the triple pirate set aswell. (Since I already have a corsair 120+ and a cannoneer 120+) and a
Hero for the triple warrior buff. Although i'm not sure if a DemonSlayer counts as a warrior... I think it would fall under resistance right?
If not, then oh joy. (Still going to make a Hero though for the heck of it. With a two handed axe ofcourse).

EDIT: just realized I have a WH/DS so might aswell make a Mechanic for the heck of it. (I CANT stand playing mages.)

Just read a little more on this. If I ever get to it, I'll just go for a magician set since I already have my F/P and Bishop and then DS, BaM and Mechanic but that will be a pain since I only have a lvl 70 DS out of those.

not sure if it counts as warrior, but i think it counts as resistance/warrior, with adventurers being adventurer/warrior, aran being Hero/warrior, and so on.

-points at green Cygnus card- Level 120 with Rank A. I have completed the 'fourth job advancement' quests on it

I guess I'll be training at least one Mech and my Sniper to 120. Then I can have a card setup like:

Deck 1: Paladin, Marksman, Cannoneer. (Explorer Bonus)
Deck 2: Battle Mage, Mech, Demon Slayer. (Resistance Bonus)

Edit: Now that I think about it. It might be better if I used a different set-up.

Deck 1: Paladin, Dark Knight, Demon Slayer. (Warrior Bonus)
Deck 2: Wild Hunter, Marksman, Mercedes. (Archer Bonus)


The first setup would definitely be better for my mules and would most definitely be great for my Wild Hunter's buffs (mainly Feline Berserk), but the second one would also be quite nice, especially given my Wild Hunter's massive number of %HP Buffs and heavy reliance on Final Attack.

Can someone remind me if Character Card effects are shared across shared worlds?
Also, if not, what's the most economical way to get the best effect (i.e., buying the least amount of character slots) with what I have?
Currently:
120 Thunder Breaker (A)
151 Shadower (S)
41 Phantom (B)
14 Dual Blader (no card)

The way I see it, I can level my Phantom and DB and get 4% max crit, I can delete my DB, get a character slot, and get 2 more Heroes, or 2 more Pirates, or I can get another character slot, level my DB, and make a Warrior with the revamp, and get 4% max crit and 10allstat.

Unfortunately Character Cards aren't shared across merged worlds. Lv120 Cygnus weeps in a merged server on my account.
