Why the Secret Spell Scroll system would have never worked.

The problem would rectify itself if people stopped buying the items...even if they went as low as 500 NX, if players stopped to think for two seconds, the duping would be useless for most things because they wouldn't be selling in the MTS.

A player can right now buy:

608 att stonetooth for 6k NX or 301 att red craven for 6k NX
25 att raccoon mask for 38k NX
27 att brown work gloves for 26k NX
20 att earrings for 17k NX
38 att violet snowshoes for 22k NX

I'm sure it will get cheaper if this continues so they're not going to stop buying them anytime soon.

I'm not...I should've listened to my gut and left the game permanently when I sold all my BM gear last March...I was stupid enough to come back in September and instead of just coming back to talk to friends I let myself get damage hoar happy again and go crazy especially with the new potential tier...

...I'm just going to come to the reality that this game isn't how it was a few years back...progress is good and all but when it isn't monitored properly this is what happens and you have to wonder if it's even progress to begin with (I'm talking about the revamps, potential system, etc...not the hacking/duping stuff even though it is directly related).

I need to wait and see how nexon will handle this first.

How about we look at how nexon handled similar situations?

Frankly, I'm kinda just waiting for the day I inevitably get hacked.
Then I can stop even checking in on this game.

Such an exploit was predicted months ago and, if Nexon were concerned at all about the integrity of their game, they should have had an employee discover this hole and implemented a preventative fix.

All the hackings/exploits this game faces wouldn't bother me nearly as much if they weren't so obviously predictable.

You mean roll back to a date that only affects those who used the exploit after it had become public, thereby leaving all the prime benefactors untouched?

Planning on locking my Nexon account for a good week, told my 2nd wing-man that their leader is paranoid and that I won't be online.

Don't forget 31 attack PACs and 244/241 M.Att clean E.Staff 7/8's.

Lol, they're pricing the ele staff 8 higher than staff 7 despite staff 8 having a lower % lightning bonus.

It's surprising how the ele staff 5 is the only one that hasn't been mass duped whenever this occurs.

Just how rare was that staff? >.>

*edit: Also, I thought nexon removed items with an abnormal number of upgrades so how can this still exist?

Because they hid 1 and it has been sold and mass duped by a bunch of different people.

My experience with nexon is telling me nothing will happen for a few more days. The game is just going to get worse and worse until one day Nexon render it unplayable and just close it down.. OR wipe the servers (i'd vote for this )
Seriously through. How hard is it to just HIRE SOME F'UCKING PEOPLE. Who know what a computer is and perhaps deal with this fiasco....

My "breaks" typically last between 4-7 months at a time...the last one was from March-Sept 2011 (I wasn't here for the Chaos patch and all of the hacking exploited fun times that followed)...chances are I'll go back to DFO...I find that game so much more entertaining than MS now and it'll keep me occupied long enough to not have to deal with this anymore.

This discussion makes me really depressed. I feel like every other thread these days is about some form of hacking/duping/illegitimacy. It makes me feel like I'm being punished for my legitimacy. The other day I went in MTS and bought a clean 120m.att E-staff when literally right under that listing was a 153m. att E-staff for $4 more.

I am sad. There's no other words to describe this.

Losing half of what you achieved each week, having hackers destroy the game each time further... Even when I'm not that into the damage hoaring or hardcore playing, it sucks to lose the time you invested each time. And if they don't rollback it will be even worse.

At this point were even waiting to be hacked from some breach we were never openly told about. Or were waiting to quit when the last bit of trying to remain legit and waiting for nexon to come and cure all this runs dry.

I guess its as West said a while ago were all masochist. Or that that this game is a worse addiction then heroin or crack.

Because the game itself is funny, the problem is all this thing going on... and if someone is still playing, is knowing that in some point, it could get hacked/banned or idk...

I used to play for sheer pride of being able to stay legit and stay powerful. After the duping in christmas I realized it was impossible, and gave up. I collected my losses, and left.

But you know what helped me quit? FU`CKING ONE PIECE. Greatest anime/distractor ever.
