Pros and Cons of All Classes
#61
I wouldn't classify Pirate classes as old classes. Guess I've been around for too long.

PS. This was adorable.
#62
paladin is a very popular class? since when? big bang?

lol what a joke.

Saphira thread:

Pro:
100% joke thread rate so far

Cons:
New member. They suck you know?
I'll never get the two minutes of my life back.

On the minor chance this isn't a complete joke thread (Which it is), you should really at least use actual facts in your list. e.g. Being 100% wrong in the very first line and throwing all credibility you have out the window doesn't help.

You should probably check out the Shenanigans board, you'd fit right in...

lorx Wrote:iirc that just means it goes up 2 steps. Still an amazing booster either way.

Exactly the point. Fast (4) + booster = Fastest (2), which as far as I know has no difference from Fastest (1)..and even if it did you could use Yellow Aura.

Slow thread day on SP + Basil quality OP. No wonder this got pounced on the way it did.

This picture pretty much sums up my reaction to the OP:

You guys are right; this place gets more like basil every day. But it's certainly not because of the OP.

Quality responses are what make a thread. When you act like jackwagons then you degrade the entire forum. How can you go on insulting someone for trying to add something helpful to community when most of you are acting like complete children?

The topic is incredibly devoided of common sense but I just laughed at the stupidity and added my take on the dual blade instead of insults. As you say, no need to be a jackwagon(?).

This list is so true guys,My class sucks because It got revamped. Logic at it's best.
#70
Sarah, thank you for saying that.

You're over the hill, next thing you know your character will need a cane and some pills to walk.

Hero

Pros:
high HP
high defense
best bossing warrior(lolslayers)
1/1 doesn't actually 1/1
mid to good mobbing, but not great

cons:
slow
long casting on skills
long time to max damage output(combo/enrage)

that's what I can think of right now, but I might be able to cough up some more when I log back onto it.

Not all staffs are Fast (4), Using a 5 would bring you to 3 if I read the data right, which is not double.

Also, I think attack speed caps at 2, aka 1 does not exist.

False premise is false.

Saphiratamer didn't create this thread to be helpful; he created it simply to promote his ridiculous notion that the "older classes" are superior by virtue of being older.

Yes, players could take the self-indulgent premise use it as an inspiration to create an actual pros and cons list for ever classs, but I personally find that that treads rather close to a "what class should you pick" thread.

lol what a joke.
Paladins are actually freakishly popular.

Before Demon Slayers were released, I'd run into several Paladins/WKs a day every day.
Can't say the same for any other warrior class.

It took me two days during the first or second week of Phantom release to find a Paladin and when I got Power Guard from him, I used it while training an hour later and realised it was level 14, so I had to spend another day later on to get max Power Guard from another one. They're quite rare in KMS apparently. Saw tons of Heroes, and many more Dark Knights. Only F/Ps are more difficult to track down.

I can only speak for versions I play, of course.

GMS has had an influx of Paladins thanks to three significant patches:
- The original balance patch
- Big Bang
- Ultimate Adventurer

Obviously, KMS got all of these patches first, so GMS players had an option to "preview" how the changes would affect the classes.
In every single instance, the changes to Paladins were completely over-hyped to godly proportions.
I'd imagine some of that hype and misinformation still festers and is to blame for their continued popularity.
KMS players likely have a more realistic picture of the classes since they're the first to get them.

I decided to make a short fun list of the classes I have played and only listed the Pros I found appealing. I am not going to talk about damage as that’s overrated and discussed also heavily dependent on items. So instead I focused on skills alone with a central theme of defense/survival and mobility. I may add more that I have played later on as I became bored ½ way through.

Paladin – M1 Abrams
- Absurd defense +200% (easily gets to defense cap)
- Absurd survivability 42% no dmg, Devine shield, +10% guard rate (post justice), Achilles, and self-heal.
- Skills range is predominantly melee
- Attack speed varies with weapon used slow to fast.

Shadowers – A10 Thunderbolt
- Moderate defense +110%
- Great survivability 45% no dmg, iframes, smoke (Even more so w/ Vampire)
- High mobility
- Skill ranges make it versatile for many maps and scenarios
- Attack speeds vary mid-fast, based on skills.

Dark Knight – M60 Patton
- Average defense
- Moderate survival (absorb HP chance and HB)
- Skills range is predominantly melee
- Attack speed varies mid-fast based on weapon and skill
- Simple – one main attack for one target or many

Corsair - AH-1Z Viper (post justice)
- Large array of attack skills, self-support buffs and summons.
- Can easily get to or near 100% crit rate from buffs, links etc.
- Above average mobility
- Attack speeds vary with skills used.

Cannon shooter - Panzerhaubitze 2000
- Has a very long range multi-target skill.
- Above average defense (+% defense)
- Above average survival (counter and added HP)
- Attack speed generally built around slow strong attacks
- Above average mobility

Mercedes – Mil 28
- Well mixed from melee and ranged attacks
- Most attacks are fast to very fast
- Moderate survival (40% no dmg rate)
- Great mobility

Demon slayer - 2S25 Sprut-SD
- Very high mobility
- Attack speeds predominately fast (melee range)
- Lack of MP (useful for places w/ potion cooldowns)
- Above average survival (post Justice) (40% HP heal skill every 10 seconds, 30% guard rate, disregarding vampic touch because of the 1 min CD per 50% heal)
- Capable of full screen AOE that can be spammed relatively frequently.
#77
You're comparing an M60 Patton to an M1A1 Abrams? What
#78
M1 was designed as a defense tank
The M60 *I believe* was a MBT from the start.
Have a better recomendation for a tank for Drks?
#79
I think the biggest con for playing a Battle Mage is their short buff times and lack of Buff Mastery, so it's a bit of a bugger to recast more often than usually.
#80
60 Second skill for Shadowers in 4th job *cries* Why is it only 60 seconds? - but yes buffing is annoying I always prefer maxing skills w/ buff timers first. Additionally I have been hoping that someday they mash mastery with booster and just make the booster part passive.
