Eos Wrote:Why? That's been a part of the series' features since Morrowind (2002), it's not some stupid Twilight (2005) rip off crap.

Sorry, Eos, but vampires have always been lame.

Huh, didn't know that.

Regardless, i like being a werewolf but i dislike how when in that form you have to wait for the effects to wear off, so you have to wait for a while to loot anything and when its finally over you have to re-equip all your stuff :/ (Attacking in werewolf form seems to get you out of the form faster)

I'll definitely save it for when i need to slaughter a bunch of people anyway.

Unfortunately your opinion is not the popular one, so enjoy it for the shiny precious rarity it is.

Got the Dawnbreaker daedric artifact, a one handed sword that burns for extra damage and creates explosions when hitting undead, wow :3

It looks all shiny too Wink

Well, in Oblivion at least, even if you got turned into a vampire, there was a cure for it.

I'm hopeful that it's here too in Skyrim, as well as a cure for being a werewolf lol.

There are cures for both in Skyrim. One cure for Vampirism is in fact becoming a werewolf. (Or was it the other way around?) And then doing the quest that cures the lycanthrope to be completely free. Unless you get reinfected. With either.

What's so bad about being a vampire or werewolf?

For vampires, there's the obvious "can't be in the sun" weakness.

For werewolves, they can never get a restful sleep (as in you do not get a Restful bonus after you sleep in a bed) and their power to turn into a werewolf is limited (you can only transform once per day, and it doesn't last for a long time).

I think being a werewolf has less cons than a vampire. I mean... at least werewolves can go out during the day. Rolleyes

I haven't played for very long thus far (only <6 hours, the first half of which was mostly trying to figure out how to fix vsync), but I'm reeeeeeally enjoying it. Big Grin

Tried to take on a mammoth and a giant at the same time. You all know how that ended for me. Wink

You also take extra damage from Silver weapons if you are either i think, but there are only one group of enemies that uses silver, so meh.

I'm miffed about the lack of spells;

levitation, unlock, jump, slowfall

So much I can't do that I could in Morrowind Tongue

Not to mention spell creation.

There was nothing in that statement that required your consent so if that was your attempt at 'having the last word' it rather failed.

Anyone know of any good playthroughs that are ongoing and done by somebody who isn't terrible at games? Day[9] kind of stopped his playthrough at episode 12 so i'm looking for a continuing one.

In saying that, you failed. Stop being a wet blanket and loosen up a little, not everything is for srs.

On-topic: Would anyone recommend this game? I've been watching SSoHPKC's videos on it and it looks really interesting. I've been craving RPGs lately, so I want to know if this is genuinely a good one or not.

@Rusty: Try SSoHPKC, he uploads VERY often, sometimes several Skyrim videos a day. At the time I'm writing this he's already put up 34 videos on it.

Says the person who is just posting to be negative and argumentative. How did I fail? You've stated your opinion. You've provided nothing to back it up beyond it being yours. It's not the popular opinion. That's an easily provable fact. No one cares that it's your opinion. No one is stopping you from having the opinion. So go off, feel how you want to feel and let everyone else do likewise. The only one being a wet blanket of any sort would be the person randomly bashing things; You.

Yeah. I miss spell creation lots. ):

On the bright side, I found a "Transmute Mineral Ore" spell book. Easy way to net gold ore ftw. Rolleyes

Reason why I never backed up anything? Um, the fact that I wasn't being serious that entire time?

Again: Loosen up man, not everything is srsbsns.

And that still doesn't change the fact that whether you were serious or not, no one cared. It's an opinion. The only one making anything of it is you. Still.
Take your own advice perhaps?

The problem with werewolves is you can't just simply deactivate it without some ring. You can't pick things up, use potions, essentially all you can do is open doors and slaughter. It's good for bosses and just sweeping, and it lasts a fair amount of time. Another problem is if you roar too much even your allies become your enemies lol
