SI would effect the sair's damage input and allow for faster training.
HSless bishop does nothing and can go sit in the corner.

Because it's a hypothetical. I'm not going to spend time in game asking the Bishop why he thinks he does more damage than the Buccaneer, and then having him prove it when I could just assume he's fucking retarded to begin with since he has no HS and I don't care how much damage he does.

I already admitted its not practical to explain it every time. Still, there are circumstances where its better to bring the hsless bishop than not, thats the only point I was making, and it was to get you folks to analyze your own decision making process, not to contort an argument to reinforce a bishops-can-only-hs bias.

K, since this is a hypothetical where everyone in the party is retarded, I am going to assume I am retarded as well in this scenario, and choose the Bishop. There, the hypothetical scenario where an HSless Bishop is chosen over some other class is one where I am a retard.

edit: here I'll imagine a scenario why the bishop didn't get HS: he wanted max doom and SR for training in third job, and he's not paying NX for sp resets. Should he be forever fucked because you refuse to entertain the possibility of letting him in the party? Does he have to buy NX to become acceptable to your arbitrary expectations about what classes are for?

Also takebacker that's not the scenario I presented. Obviously you want HS, the hsless bishop is competing with other attackers for a slot, not with the HSer who is definitely coming.

For that to be a competition, the bishop has to be doing more DPS than them. Your scenario is still HS vs no HS, which is all that matters.

As I stated previously, unless I was desperate (which in your scenario I am) I wouldn't take a Corsair (unless it's beyond funded).

A 199 BM (best dps as of jump, I think) is making a party on CH1 bearwolves. There are six other people looking for a party, ranked in order of their dps:

a sair
a NL
a bam
a hsless bishop
a bucc
a support bishop

Guess who he shouldn't bring? Hint: it's not the hsless bishop.

Bold added for emphasis. I also want to swap out the sair, who'd benefit from SI (I thought there were fast guns, my bad).

Then again, it's unfortunate that it's how it is.

Which is why the hypothetical will never ever work. Because HS is god.
