not sure about 3 & 4, ill probably use those 2 slots for testing out things each new level. i really like the vault setup tho, and ill probably try to keep a weapon w/ discipline regen equipped for super mobility. and i really like the passives for crit, im hopeful that crit chance and damage arent too hard to stack.

Blizzard really need to break away from the point and click paradigm. With a more action based combat system I would be all over this.
The fact that they do not include controller support from the get go... mind baffling. I suppose one could always use third party controller programs, but it is seldom ideal.

Didn't really enjoy spenders in the Beta, especially the Secondaries, so I'm thinking of something that just pomegranates out DPS from all ends and uses Spirit purely for Dashing Strike and refreshing Mantra of Conviction. Seven-Sided Strike looks cool, but given the 30 second cooldown, I'd rather opt to spend my Spirit in the aforementioned method. But with a build like this, I doubt I need the extra 100 Spirit, and could put something else there. If I don't need the movement, I could swap in Sweeping Wind, too, and if the Critical Rate is too low, I'd have Thunderclap on Fists of Thunder for movement instead. I can guarantee you Diablo 4 will be point and click too. It's the way the game has always been, and always will be.

I was under the impression that point and click was generaly viewed as something outdated in MMO .

I would never find the controls in Diablo I and II outdated, it feels tight and slick and responsive. It's just how the game is. It'd be like pokémon without the overlook down on your character and so on. It's just not pokémon.

After I decide to buy it, I'll probably have to fiddle around with the classes before I actually go for a build or class in particular. I'll probably just end up trying out stuff while playing the game with a friend.

I don't mean to be a smart ass but I'm honestly curious about this game. I just don't see the hype, what does this game offer that justifies what everyone is saying besides being an 11 year old long overdue sequel? WHAT AM I MISSING BECAUSE I JUST DON'T SEE THE APPEAL.

Good story and good gameplay. If you don't like hack'n'slash/dungeon crawlers it's probably limited how much appeal it has to you. And a big reason: Diablo, it's nostalgia for many that is creating the hype.

There are so few games out there where you get to grind anymore. That's the appeal of dungeon crawlers.
My fingers are poised over the install button. 15th can't come sooner enough. |
