I'm sure it would expire when you tried to use it, as the Resistance boxes did. That remains to be seen, though.

There's a delay in expiring items.

I guess the Resistance boxes were different then, as they expired when I tried using them.

I hadn't put them in storage, iirc, so that may have been the case.

except it was botched up as hell, and we had missing SP, which required the SP reset, or you'd be lacking some, not to mention skills getting moved around.

Just an aside, they still haven't gotten the missing sp right. My main and a few other maplers are still missing 3+ sp. Luckily I'm at a level where it barely effects me, but it's still an annoyance.

OT: I'm sure this will turn out like big bang with raging all around and Nexon eventually giving in and letting everyone reset while simultaneously pretending it was the secret plan all along.

Uhm, actually...last time (Big Bang), we complained hard enough and DID get our reset, though with some conditions to them. The past has shown that Nexon DOES read fan forums, and if enough of a fuss is made, they WILL do something about it.



I would like to add that in the end, the SP reset that we got was time limited (to a week I think), and expired, so that if you weren't playing in the immediate few weeks after big bang, you'd be screwed. A friend of mine came back to maple in January. She had messed up 4th job skills for the longest time till she leveled out of the problem. Even WITH their "fix", some people still ended up getting screwed over (and I would even dare to say a majority, because a large part of the population takes breaks from maple). Why they can't give us something as simple as a non-expiring sp reset when all skills have been realigned is beyond me and something I will probably never understand.

This. Hopefully Hime will go with the "it wus gunna b a surprise LUL" story again and we get our resets. Nexon needs to put themselves in their player's shoes for once. Why can't they just make every character get a free, non expiring, untradeable SP reset upon login after balance patch, no matter if they log in the day of the patch or 1 year later. Oh yeah.. because it's simple and makes sense.

Yep, the actual boxes don't expire, but once you try to use them, they just disappear and you get a notice saying it was expired. I tried this recently, like last week.

well, time to make another fuss.

I had resistance boxes on an old mech I left when I quit for about 6 months and when I came back and tried to open them (they weren't pulled from my inv) it said they had passed their expiration date and would be removed, and were removed. Same with the exp caps on my main.

Resistance Boxes and Energy Charges are different. They have a programmed script for expiration, while the SP resets have a server sided expiration date.

If this is true, this is proof the exp caps won't work.

It's extremely hard (and pointless...) to dupe something untradeable.

Battle mages don't need an SP reset. Only reason would be reaper, and that's not a big deal.
