OT: I don't really have any opinion on this either way. It's either on the 7th or it's not, and if it isn't then who cares? It's just another date that people got excited about for no reason. It's not like this overhype hasn't happened before.

Why would Maplestory affect your studying for finals? That's ridiculous.

I mean I was hoping I'd play it upon its release but that's not happening.

Yeah i kinda noticed that but either way i consider you a regular just by the fact that you're a veteran player, active or not. xD

Can't the date in the tespia patch regarding the time the event starts and ends be changed? I mean, it was tespia after all. They could also move the time the event starts to fith the patch being on the 8th too.

If I know Nexon - and I do - they're too lazy. You're making a lot of assumptions about Nexon. Mainly, that they're competent.

Lazy or not NEXON has showed many times especially in 2010 they'll change something to their liking. NEXON needs no ones approval and to be honest they'll do what ever they please regardless of what people say. Don't believe me these past few months is a great example>.> Pretty much all of basil, the NEXON forums, and many of SP were saying that BB is in October and in October and November NEXON probably did some of the most random patches ever. Kaede, Hoblin, Ulu, Ghost Ship and others. So pretty much if NEXON decides they don't want it that way then they'll change it. XD

This. I'm actually waiting for the patch so I can hurry up and train until I'm tired of Maplestory again.

Even if the patch went live on the 7th, I wouldn't expect a functional game for at least a week. Anyone else recall the patch that lasted over 24 hours in the middle of 2008?

let's assume the patch is out in 2 weeks so we can stop splitting hairs, move on with our lives, and just chat about how we're going to use our new powers to ks Eosian

Only game-breaking bug I know of in Tespia is the rings that won't upgrade (for some people). Even Nexon wouldn't release an event, especially a time-dependent one, *known* not to work.

Other serious bugs, like the boat and jump quest disconnects, the graphics messups, and so on, already exist in the current version, so they don't seem like a reason to delay BB.

However, what Tespia didn't test is the effects on SP of already existing chars. JMS had a serious problem with their automatic SP resets. Hopefully NexonAM is observing that and making sure the same doesn't happen in GMS.

That was server maintenance, for all Nexon servers. Yah I do remember it. I also remember how they delayed 4th job patch a day, then next day they delayed it a week.

Stuff that happened in jMS will happen in gMS. We basically have the same content, from what it seems. Nexon America is too lazy to do other than just take the files and put them in.

We pretty much copy-paste directly from KMS, not JMS, so by the logic that what we copy paste will work the same, we'll be getting working SP resets.
