What do you expect/hope Nexon throws in with Big Bang?
#61
If you're using 3-4 2x cards a week you're not the typical user.

I've never bought a 2x card for my Paladin. I've used 5 total in the time I've played - 2 on my NL, 3 free ones on my DK. I played the whole 4 hours on 4 of the times - I got sick of it after 3 hours the other time.

If I could use 4 hours of 2x when I bought a 4 hour card, without it having to be all at once, I might buy them more often. Hell, if they sold 24 hour 2x cards that you could turn on/off at will for prices like the weekly cards, I would probably stop training without 2x.

Indeed. I hardly ever buy 2x cards, because I can't commit to 4 hours of training, and don't want the card wasted.
If I could start and stop the card at will, I would never be without one again.

- separate inventory for medals
- the ability to wear any number of medals at a time

they should make medal bonuses cumulative. that way you can wear whatever you want, and receive all of the stats from your others.

Veneni Wrote:I just started playing wow and what I really like about it is how you keep your buffs even when you log off. It would be alot less painfull when you dc if you find your 2x buff and magic guard still there when you log back in. They can keep track of skill cooldowns, so it IS possible. Also if you have say 15 minutes left of a buff, you can log off, log on the next day and it will still be 15 minutes. Imagine that + 2x card being a buff instead of an item -> Big Grin

I'd like to see you keep not just your buffs but your location when you dc, at least for a limited time.
For example, if you dc at Zakum's Altar and relog within 3 minutes, you should still be there instead of kicked out (and with your buffs intact, as Veneni said... wouldn't want to die right away due to MG or HB being off). If you relog but your expedition is no longer there, you get kicked out. I'm aware this could be abused, but as long as Nexon seems incapable of fixing the disconnect-at-bosses bugs, I feel they owe us this workaround.

Not expecting much, global maplestory has always been copy->paste->nerf->glitch->patch->glitch->patch->nerf->2x event -> rollback -> Server check -> rollback -> patch -> glitch -> big rollback -> Limbo

You mean like the cash-trade system in KMS and EMS?
It works exactly as you just said, only prepaid-cash items can be traded.

One of the biggest things I'd like to see is the removal of the separate CS for certain classes...I should be able to share everything from the CS across all chars on my account.

I'd also like to see flexible 2x cards that you can turn on/off and use when you want...I've been saying thats how they should be since 2x cards were introduced years ago.

You should be able to trade "used" CS items as well.

Typical users aren't where Nexon profits. They've said they make 80% from 10 to 20% of the population, which is exactly what you just described.
They don't want to jeapordize that already marginal portion of their population that makes up the majority of their profit.

What do you understand as "used" CS items?

From what I have read, if you "equip" a CS item(clothing, pet, weapon cover, whatever) then it can not be traded. I think you should be able to trade something you have put on or activated(like pets).

Kinda a tautology, there... their items are designed for the atypical users (who do play 4+ hours in a row), so those users are the ones buying them, so that becomes their customer base.

As far as I know theres no such limitation...the only one I know of is that you cannot resell an nx item you bought from someone else. I will try to test this though

Those who have talked about medal changes I came up with an idea that merges most of them together.

Add an option to Dalair which opens a semi-long sort of hard questline filled with the typical quest fair. Once you finish it Dalair will reward you with a blank medal with no name or design, having this medal opens a UI option in which you can place your medals into. This UI box would act like a second equip box taking the medals from your inv and putting inside the Medal Equip box, the blank medal you got from Dalair will then have the stats of all the medals you put into the Medal Equip box. So you would basically be equipping medals on a medal. Though since you need the medals in your inv the idiots who got medals and then threw them away just for the medal count might end up screwed since they wouldn't be able to get the medals back, or once this was added they could just reset all medal quests but not take away the medals for the people who already have them. Also, any medal you can't have forever like Donor Medals, Slayer Medals, Monster Kill/Fame medals would not be able to be put on the Medal Equip box, but event medals would be able as long as they don't have an expire date. While this would give some people bigger bonuses from medals if they got a certain medal while you could since they took part in the event they should deserve it anyway.

Besides merging a bunch of medals stats together the blank medal would also have some other options. One would be to give the blank medal the design of any of the medals you put on it along with being able to give it the name of any the medals you used, or a custom name. Also you would be able to choose if the title showed below your name or not, or just have the design of the medal or by or on both sides of your name, for those medals that have a design on each side.

An optional idea would to have the blank medal have one slot so those risk takers could use a chaos scroll on it for better stats, or a potential/enhancement scroll, but to keep people from abusing it you would only be able to get the blank medal once and only once. But since one slot could make people who get really lucky (5 attack/magic attack, 3 potential slots.) sort of game breaking maybe it should be left with no slots at all.

The multiple medal ideas are just horrbile, the only system I would agree with would be a separate menu where you could pick one of all your earned titles and equip it. Also how is it idiotic to toss the medals with worthless stats? I dare say it would be vastly more retarded to buy equip slot expansions just to carry junk around.

Can you explain how and why it's horrible? Every single person would have an equal chance at getting the equal stats (Except for those with the only 10 or so event medals that are perma) that all together doesn't even compare to a Chaos Zakum Helm.

It's equally as retarded to get an item you're not even going to bother to use and throw it away as buying extra equip slots for them. Even a collector who isn't going to use the item will keep the item on a mule.

They still show as earned in the Medals UI, and they're completely untradeable so there's no alternative to dropping ones you don't have room for.

And they keep releasing new medals with better stats... I would happily have never accepted my Master Adventurer Medal, I don't need it anymore - but back when medals came out it was my best option.

There is the alternative of never claiming the medal in the first place since you aren't going to use it at all and just throw it away. If you only got a medal because it was the best at the time and then threw it away that is a different story.

Anyway, I got out a piece of paper and sorted through every medal that we can/could get and came up with this.

 Spoiler

What we end up with is classes getting a pretty good HP/MP boost, and that's about it. Maybe the stats are a bit on the high side, but that's only if you manage to get all those medals. Some medals are event medals you can't get anymore, and others are sort of hard to earn. Like 1000 fame in 30 days, 5 S Rank PQ's, getting all sorts of monster cards, etc.

A few extra medal slots would work, fine. The elaborate combo stuff just makes no sense though, and it would be horrible because there are lvl limited medals that high lvls cannot get, and lots of event ones at that.
And yes, some of us want to complete the challange and get the medal count since it all register in the medal UI. Why would we refrain from earning achievements just because we have no use for some medals? I still say toss the useless ones. If Nexon should renovate the medal system, they'd be friggin daft to do it counting on people keeping medals that are beyond useless currently. Being a pack rat is nice and can even be fun, but our inventories aint made for saving hundreds of untradable crap items.
