I guess a way to prevent paying is to complete the PQ every once in a while and grab a new set of earrings.

and cube them to unique every time.

Do the earrings drop at a decent rate? 4 PQs and I haven't seen anything but a saddle (which the Aran promptly looted. Why do I bother PQing with people I don't know...).

What do you guys mean when you say Rex dropped a saddle? What do you do with a saddle if you don't have the matching mount?

No one in the English community knows how to get the mount yet. :/

Out of the 7 PQs I've had already 2 sets of earrings dropped. They seem to be a little uncommon but nothing too terrible of a droprate.

Two Earrings dropped out of 5 PQ's for me. Gave one to a friend. I'm going to guess the drop rate is about uncommon to semi-rare at times.

The saddle is useless unless you have the Hyena mount. Its incompatible with the hog or whatever other mount you may have.

out of 5 pq, we got 2 ring and 1 saddle. the pq is boring, just have to follow that slow goblin

OT: I looted a pair of red earrings that had potential already on them. Revealed them to be +4str +4all

Went on about 10-15 runs yesterday and only got 1 set of blue earrings on the 2nd run, which I looted, and Flying Assaulter that dropped from Rex on our 3rd or 4th run, which my friend looted. We didn't get anything else from the rest of the pq's that we did.
