I...see. I can start with the 2nd Job builds, then.

Still, I can't help but feel that there are likely to be SP quests...can anyone confirm this?

If any of you missed the weapons there, those are Resistance mechanical weapons that level twice. Pretty epic statted and looking for a level 30 weapon.

Once the tube event is gone.

MysticHLE Wrote:No, this P/MDrate "defense" isn't what you think. It's a set property of a boss that permanently decreases one's damage by a fixed %. This isn't weapon/magic defense as used in the defense formula in Threaten and other offensive skills. Even if skills reduce PB or any boss's physical defense to 0, you'll only see roughly a 5-10k increase in damage per hit (depending on the class's offensive skill multiplier and when mob w. def is taken into account).

Don't be confused...there's P/MD, and there's P/MDrate.

Is this a confirmed information? (skill ignore % defense does not reduce P/MDrate),
what's your information source? or did you play at KMST/KMS yourself?

Thanks ^^

That wasn't his argument at all. His argument is that PDRate is not the same as PDDamage, and he's right.

It's still unknown how ignoreMobpdpR works.

I hope this doesn't lead to more retarded pservers.

Not sure, but do those resistance weapons really level up
8 times?? I wonder if that means they are trying to add more progression to the weapons so you can wear them
longer.

I'm stuck at Battlemage II, because 2nd Job normally only gives 121 SP...but you need 140 SP to max everything in 2nd Job for Battlemages. Seems to be wayyyy too much missing SP.

i don't get what's the problem. you're not really expected to max everything out on every job, every advancement. only Evans are capable of that, no other class is. In fact, the average cut off is indeed around 20 points to max out the entire advancement, e.g. F/P wizards can leave slow at lv18 and MP eater at lv3 at lv70 with everything else maxed.

no they can't... 19 SP in mastery, 30 SP in (attack skill), 20 SP in booster, 20 SP in soul arrow, 20 points in PKB and the rest in focus. FA is left blank, and would be 19 points off if you put the 11 leftover points in it.

JoeTang Wrote:I'm surprised a lot of this wasn't in the last KMST patch. Both the Crossbow, Staff, and Ring were introduced in official on the 22nd, and I believe I read that the 70 PDRate on Pink Bean was in the patch that happened earlier today.

The Ring is identical to Lilin's; you need to level to 70 on a Resistance character to achieve it, and it cannot be worn with Lilin's Ring or Adventurer's Ring just so everyone knows, and I believe I read the event ends on the 30th of August.

Thats stupid. I think everything should be allowed to be worn with everything else.

Of course I know that. I've been playing even before the MapleSEA server came out (played in GMS). If you compare the SP required to max all skills in 2nd Job between Battlemages and Wild Hunters, Wild Hunters need 10 less SP...which is strange. Since they both belong to the same group, shouldn't they have similar SP requirements? Unless I'm missing something.

Your numbers are all wrong. The attack skill is 30 SP, Soul Arrow is 20, and we don't even HAVE improved fundementals. O_o

I just hit lvl 70 on my Ranger. In order to max everything you'll need 140 SP. I didn't put any points in final attack until I needed to advance tot hird job, and it was only 10 sp. Please tell me where you came up with that pomegranate.

Because current skill builds are so fucking relevant when comparing with Battle Mages, yeah.

It was probably an oversight by Nexon. When they first released Resistance in KMST, Battlemages didn't have a Mastery skill. Instead Mastery was built into their attacks (like other Mages). Then the Big Bang update came along and gave all Magicians a mastery skill in 2nd job. It looks like they didn't properly adjust the SP to account for this. When Battlemages were first released, their 2nd job only needed 130 SP to max all skills, which is what most classes need. Now they need 140 like you pointed out.
