A lot of people think when Nexon does these Gachapon Box events that they put a bunch of good items in on the first few days so people will see them and go to buy NX to use the boxes and then take them out.

There is no proof of this though.

This is going to be a long month.

Most of the rewards are... smegas (triple smega, tv smega, etc.). The maple point prizes are probably outnumbered 10:1 by people winning 2-3 smegas from their eggs.

I'm just disgusted by how they've been focusing on NX-only events lately.

Not only does this event make no sense (going to a map to talk with a NPC which tells you to buy NX incubators and sends you to the CS and another NPC which gives you 100 eggs at once out of nowhere.. wat?), but they also used a great-looking NPC like this one for this stupid event.

In fact, it doesn't fit at all. I would see it in a Masteria expansion, not in a crappy NX event. "Hello there! I'm Shadow Knight Rene! Go to CS and buy some incubators! You'll get some great prizes if you do! Oh, anyway, please talk to that egg NPC up there first. I'll then send you to CS if you want."

They should focus more on Masteria expansions than on this crap. And, I don't know why, but something tells me that NPC was meant to be in Masteria.

I agree with you. That NPC is way too good to be used in this event. This leads to 2 questions: Why would they make such a nice NPC that has absolutely no relation to the context of the event? Why is the event about dragon eggs, when A) the evan patch is over and B) this patch is about the anniversary.

What is a "Shadow knight"? Who knows, but i definitely think of the masteria factions when i hear that. This leads me to believe one thing: This event was either rushed, or shoddily made for the sake of being able to work on other things. Because the shadow knight rene has no link to what he's used for, that also leads me to believe that he was taken from the masteria project to be used for this. I think the shadow knight rene will return after this event is over.

I think they wanted it for the Evan patch, but something went wrong. I remember that the quest for it started right before a SC during Evans, so who knows.

I agree tho, the character design almost screams Masteria. Hopefully though, it isnt just being used because Masteria is being abandoned...

The other masteria hints support the hypothesis, so i don't believe in the slightest bit that masteria was abandoned.

However, the masteria we know and love won't really be the same because NXjoeW isn't running the show to make things the kind of exciting that he provided.

I think I'll ask one more time just to make sure.

Does anyone know where the Level 80 Evan Dragon equips come from? If they don't come from the Dragon PQ (or anything else) like I'm currently thinking, then they might be something dropped from a future Masteria expansion. I'm sure these equips and the new shield are GMS exclusive... But, bah, probably too much hope at this point.

The stone shield? I heard that came from DRPQ, though i'm 95% sure it doesn't. I thought it was masteria-esque too.
