I think that these are good changes. Horntail is just as hard without all that hp, it just takes less time now, letting weaker groups kill it. Pink bean's statues' hps were ridiculous to begin with since they return each phase. Also, did zakum's hp change?

I agree with your views on HT, 15 mins regular runs and 3 mins speed runs are possible now.
Allowing HT to be killed in 2 more chs (like Zakum) would finish the job nicely.

And no, Zak's hp remained the same.

What? Good Changes? All that does is lower the reason to level now. The only reason I want to level now is not even for Zakum anymore. Its so I can go to HT, even if I do end up being a seduce mule.

If anything this is a like a big middle finger to all those players who actually spent a decent amount of time killing those bosses for hours.

this makes perfect sense. kms doesnt have apples, so even if the change does carry on from tespia to actual kms their horntail runs wouldnt be much faster than ours are right now. Biggrin

As others have said, kMS has no Onyx Apples, nor a different attack boost pot that can come close to apples, as far as I know. We kill HT in less than an hour on gMS, and I suppose they decided to change it so kMS guys can kill it in a similar length of time. I too don't think that we'll be getting these boss nerfs.

Somehow I like this more then our onyx apples.

Onyx apples benefit some classes more then others (NL's / Vipers), since they have a low weapon attack to begin with.

With this nerf, all classes benefit the same way... (including AM's)

IMHO this is better game balance then onyx apples!

It'd also make boss runs a whole lot easier to organise, seeing how you don't have to buy a billion apples for every run... Redface

These are not bad changes if you ask me... The only problem I have with these changes is the changes made to zakum, zakum is already easy enough to kill as it is. The horntail and Pink Been changes, I agree with 100%. It takes too much time and organization currently to kill horntail and I'd hate to even imagine how long it'd take to take down a monster with 7.5 billion HP. How are you supposed to use the bathroom? Because of how difficult it is to kill horntail, people will not be able to get their skills for a long time. If bosses are killed easier, more groups will kill it. If more groups kill it, the books won't be so expensive and more people will be able to use their books.

It's also rediculous that you have to spend tons of money on HP washing if you are a ranged character just so you can boss. Nexon should make the bosses do less damage or make the ranged characters have enough HP by default... I think nexon is taking a step in the right direction by nerfing these bosses.

The only boss that even requires apples really is HT (and pink been when released). You can easily get the apples needed also just from the drops given by HT also.

The whole concept of BOSS battles is that they are stronger than normal monsters...there won't be any challenge whatsoever if these are kept in effect...


...on the plus side if we ever get this I'll be able to solo Zak on my Bishop faster ^^ lol

On a more serious note, yes, we/they have already mastered all those bosses that are nerfed AND the extra HP is silly... but I really just don't see why its relevant enough to call for a nerf. o_o

Edit: I WOULD see the point in nerfing stuff like Anego or Tengu. These two are more of an annoyance than anything. See sig for details. lol

My thoughts exactly; I guess this is how they get compensated for lack of apple availability.

Also, didn't zakum arms get stronger? I'm pretty sure ours are 33 mil for the topmost two, and between 22.5 mil and ~28 mil for the rest. If all of them are 33 mil hp apiece now, how is that a nerf? Or is it no longer 8 individual monsters...
