MapleSEA Episode 2 Aran Trailer

Physically attack you. It is essentially reverse seal. You can still get raped by magic attacks.

I can only imagine GMS + Aran. It'll be worse than pirates. You'll actually have to specify that you DON'T want an Aran to come somewhere when you wanna do something.

@ Above: Which type of attacks are physical again? I can't remember.

If that means it doesn't let touching damage you, then thank god it doesn't work on bosses. =/

That's exactly what it means. It is probably one of the best parts of the aran class, because you can nearly dodge all attacks if you have good timing and control. Body Pressure + power knock back + final charge + final toss + rolling spin offer you so much control.

I at least feel happy that people who leech themselves up to level 120 will have to still work around the issue of getting used to being an Aran.

The worst part is the fact that they have to listen to people like us who complain that they're so broken. Goggleemoticon

And that they have to stand inside bosses to fight them.

To be fair, that's an Aran with really, -really- godly equips.

You can see everything she has in this video (and I'm sure some of you guys have seen it already, I recall seeing people in a different thread talk about her equips a while back):

 Spoiler

And you can see her fight Zakum (at a slightly lower level) in this video:

 Spoiler

(She was hitting 100k+ with a single critical hit with SE! And look at that rather unstable damage range as a result.)

Haha, that reminds me, I haven't checked on the Maple Story page description over at TvTropes in quite a while. I really need to take out that "Aran is only available in KMS at the moment" line soon.

What he said. In addition, it hurts your hands. It really is hard to hit your attack key that often. Low HP for a melee class THAT MOVES INTO THE BOSS. Have to pay attention while you play (grinding gets old even faster than a normal character since I am not just hitting one key while my pet pots). High equip costs. Quests for nearly all your skills before 70. Those are just some that I can think of, atm.

I already know. Kiss

If pendant expansion ever happens, that outcome is not impossible for a good chunk of GMSers.

I find that having to actually press different buttons is a lot more fun than pressing one button. Hell, when I attack, I spam the key instead of holding it down, so that I can still move afterwards if I have it on a macro.

Plus, yeah, she's impossibly godly, but half of the people in GMS are preparing themselves just so they can get as godly as that.

Low HP isn't much of a problem for the average 160+ aran, most of them are HP washed for PB purposes. I wasn't aware hitting more than one key made training more boring. Wink

I don't think high equipment costs was ever a con for NLs or anything like that, so...

We use the arrow keys. It is more fun that way.

So does that skill still Stun? Or does Fiel need to update the Aran skills thread?

So for those who are active in the KMS community, do you guys have any direct experiences regarding how Aran are treated and how other classes view them (in terms of boss runs and such). Just wondering if it's either been to soon to really know, or they've been acknowledged to be anywhere near broken.

It's like 30 seconds of "OMG I WANT ARAN CLASS NOW"

Hmm...come to think of it, since when Maple SEA started to get "good"? :f6:
I think it happened when they released KoC or has it always been like that?

I think its like a cycle. GMS got good stuff and was few patches of MSEA in 2008. This year onwards however, MSEA was few patches ahead with great stuff. Perhaps next year it will be GMS's turn again?

It was fixed through a urgent server check shortly right after today's server check ended.
